[Q] (HELP) Unique Samsung Galaxy S 3 problem - General Questions and Answers

Hello guys,
First of all let me introduce myself. My name is Armin, and joined this forum today to find out whats wrong with my GS3 and how to fix it. **Before I posted this thread I searched all the internet, but couldnt even find one person with my problem, so I marked it as unique.
THE PROBLEM:
-After I charge my GS3 it works fine the first 20 minutes;
-Then the signal (yes signal ! ) gets lost, screen starts to flash rapidly;
-Then it freezes (If I dont take out the battery it reboots it self, but failes to boot (I get into a boot lobby), so pulling out the battery is necessery);
-After I manage to turn the GS3 on, the battery is less than 5%, after few seconds, screen flashes rapidly again, and shuts down (no reboot);
-After aprox. 45 minutes I turn the GS3 on, and the battery is over 60%, after 10-20 minutes the problem occures again, and again.
-When I use the GS3 on charger, it works perfectly, after it gets charged and pulled of the charger, problem occures.
*I did following things (and none of them work):
-I did a factory reset;
-I did a hard reset;
-After getting frustrated, I installed a 4.1.2 firmware via odin and did a update to jelly bean via samsung kies.

Based on the above I am inclined to say it is a hardware fault, to start basic I would try replacing the battery

[Q] Motorola Razr I auto shutdown (battery issue)

Hi guys,
I Also post this thread in the Razr I forum, but since its more a general issue instead of a specific Motorola issue, i choose to post it here as well.
I have the Razr I since 3 days now, i orderd it via ebay on a german website. I really like the phone, its amasing fast and works really great.
But since i use the phone, there's something wrong with the battery (i think!). The phone just randomly shuts down for about 40 till 60 times a day, my record for keeping it on is about 1 hour. It doesn't just falls out, but shuts down like if your battery is empty of if you push the on/off button.
This is what I know for now, by observing:
- The phone is working correctly (on of off, doesn't matter)
- The battery gives an empy signal out of nowhere (but isn't really empty)
- Due to the empty signal Android thinks the phone is empty and starts the automaticly shutdown process
- When the phone is off, i can just turn it on and the battery level is where it was before
- This cycle happens randomly, in 1 minute til 1 houre...
What i've done so far:
- Searched on google, a few similar problems, but no solutions
- Caliberate the battery
- Factory reset
- Disable apps that may couse a restart (but i don't think its a software issue tough)
- Playing with different settings, profiles etc
All those things doesn't change the randomly showing cycle that i've wrote above.
I also send an e-mail to the company where i orderd the device, so i maybe can return it and get an other one.
By the way, the phone was on JB when i received it.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Or is it just what my own conclusion is, a broken battery?
I hope someone can help thiking about my problem!
Cheers

Help needed diagnosing phone battery issues

So for the past few weeks my phone has really been acting up. I'll try and make this an organized question/post.
Here's the symptoms:
-Phone drops from 30ish % down to 1%, then powers off and wont turn back on due to low battery.
-Phone occasionally reports fully charged at different levels (such as 80% or 50%), upon reboot, it is listed as 100%.
-Some days I can watch it drop 1% every few seconds once it reaches 35%, literally like it's counting down.
-Other days it just works fine, I can use it to 5% and then charge with no problems.
Phone information:
-Z1 Compact
-Problem persists between ROM flashes and android versions. Have experienced issues on stock 4.4.4, stock 5.0.1, AOSP 4.4.4 and AOSP 5.1.
Really, any sort of help or places to start would be greatly appreciated. I don't even know what to try anymore and I'd really like to avoid trying to replace it (warranty expired already).
Attached a screenshot illustrating it happening. I unplugged my phone last night after charging it to full. Made it to work, put it in airplane mode, turned wifi on. Updated some apps and restarted it. Rebooted to about 10%. Charging again now.

[Q] Battery level stuck at 0%

About two months ago my old battery stopped working well and always turned off before reaching 0% so I bought a new battery off amazon and replaced it. Everything was fine. The battery lasted easily for a day and I didn't notice any problems. But yesterday my phone suddenly shut down. But it wasn't like with the old battery where the display just went black. Instead it showed the usual shutting down "notification" as if I turned it off automatically. When I plugged in the charger I noticed that the phone did show the lightning charging sign but was always stuck at 0%. That's why I assume that this problem is software related. Also when I am in the recovery I can unplug it and it won't turn off. Of course I already tried quite some things.
At first I cleared the cache partition - didn't work.
Then I downgraded from Android M preview to Android 5.1.1 using the flash-all.sh - installation did work but still won't charge or show that it is being charged.
Then I installed TWRP and wiped everything possible for several times and then used adb push command to move the latest cyanogenmod nightly to the phone and installed it - still won't show any change in battery level.
Do you have an idea what might be the problem and a possible solution?
Thanks in advance.
Have you tried another battery?

Oneplus one acting weird

Hi!
Recently, my oneplus one has been misbehaving or acting weird. I'm running the latest CM13 (has been like this for the past 5 builds or so) and the latest boeffla kernel (also tried a couple of versions) here are the things it does:
Randomly freezes and turns off and won't automatically reboot (sometimes takes about 30 minutes before I can even hard reboot it sometimes the red LED is on and lots of unreadable partitions show up on my pc when plugging it in) and it will also enter some super battery drain mode where it can kill it's entire battery in less than an hour
the WI-FI randomly dies and won't reconnect until rebooted
Top part of the touch screen not really workig? Like the adress bars in browsers don't work but when I try to interact with the notification shade in that area it works fine...
Battery drain: not really an issue, just started happening today with nova launcher sucking the battery dry
And overall it's really slow...
I'm not sure if it's boeffla kernel or CM13 or the phone is just dead...
I tried to reflash a dozen times so not sure
Can anyone help me with this?
Same here but i have everything stock... Except Root and bootloader unlocked
Flash stock rom, make no changes don't even restore Google data just set it up as a clean device, and see if it's still misbehaving. If it is its hardware.

MOTO G4 Bootlooping Issue

Hello all. My daily driver has been a rooted Moto G4 running RR (Oreo) for years now. As time has gone by, the stock battery has deminished to not lasting even a few hours (thus, it is always connected to a powersource). Since it is used primarily for work (Amazon Music App) w/ViperFx settings I've set, making any BT device it connects to sound outstanding, I'm in a dilemma... :/
The phone when pulled from power will randomly shutdown. (Guessing the battery application is faulty because of age, it calculates incorrect remaining battery life, shutdown point, eta charging , etc.) At times when this happens upon turning back on it will boot loop. The fix has always been to fully charge battery and it would restart as normal. Couple of days ago it has now permanently remained in loop, even with full battery charge or charger plugged in.
Searched for fixes and have attempted TWRP: cleaning cache, davlik/art cache, then rebooting. Removing SD Card, repowering. Selecting System then repair option, then restarting.
Hoping to retain data and settings without a factory wipe. Thanks for reading and assisting with a resution!
