[Q] No one can understand me on speakerphone - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is anyone else having a problem with people being able to understand you once you turn on speakerphone? Its not intermittent, happens all the time. I tried turning off noise reduction and voice privacy with no change. Does anyone have or know of a fix for this?

Try a factory reset, I was having speaker issues until the factory reset. I also use the noise reduction option right now with no problems.

My new z3 d6603 sounds like a tornado to people receiving my call.

So basically to everyone who receives my call it sounds like rushing wind. I've tested multiple different things and it sounds the same. I even went into the phone configuration menu and ran a test recording on the primary mic and still the same tornado. For a short while, turning off the WiFi fixed the issue, but now it is on going thing. I have read around other Z forums and have read that recent android updates have caused over sensitive mic and audio issues.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Is this software or faulty hardware issue?
Does anyone have any fixes for this?
Is there some sort of setting I missed? (I have turned mic sensitivity down in settings but no change.

Disable noise cancelling option for call and see if that helps, I have not encountered this.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I already tried that and it didn't work. Thanks though.

Get a new one, because, I just got a replacement (due to light bleed), and even my old one never had any audio problems.

XZP anyone else have mic cut out/clicking issues? (XZ premium)

Really hoping i'm not the only one experiencing this issue.
Whenever I make a call using the main microphone (not speakerphone) after a few minutes people say i sound "muffled" or they hear a "clicking" sound. The clicking sound happens just before my mic cuts out entirely and the other person cant hear me until i switch to speakerphone. Oddly enough, switching from speakerphone then turning it off solves the issue for a minute before it happens all over again. Additionally resetting the phone seems to fix the issue for an hour or so. I have yet to try and repeat this error using a VOIP call like FB messenger.
Anyone else experiencing this, or can offer some help?

Call sound uncontrollable

Hi all,
I have a strange problem.. the call sound from the ear speaker can't be decreased although the sound indicator can be decreased on the screen when i press the sound button down!! The sound stays constant at the highest intensity!!
I tried the safe mode to isolate any third party app effect, it didn't work.
I tried factory reset, it solved the problem, but after recovering my apps from cloud the problem came again!
I am still thinking that this is due to some app effect.. but as the safe mode did not solve the problem then this means that my apps have no role!! or i am wrong!?
And idea about this crazy defection?!
Thank you in advanced!

My Ear Piece speaker is not working

I have no sound coming from my ear piece speaker and I am not sure if its a hardware or software issue. I did a hard factory reset and it still persists.
I used Headphone toggle app once before the reset and it fixed the issue for a few days until it popped back again that prompted me to do the hard reset and still no solution
Has anyone else had this problem?Any workaround will be truly appreciated.
Which firmware version do you have on it?

Proximity sensor muting calls

Hi,
So when making a call the other person can't hear me or hears me very low. I figured out that if I move my face away from the proximity sensor the mic works normally. The fact that some people say they can hear me very low could mean that one mic at the top of the phone is not affected.
Is there a setting anyone can suggest or a way to reset the settings without doing a factory reset.
This might have happened after a recent update.
Thanks.
