How to root LG Optimus LTE3 F260s

I have zero knowledge of how to root a phone and would like to root my Korean LG Optimus LTE 3 (F260s). I have searched to try to find a solution and although the answers may be there, my lack of knowledge is leaving me struggling. I would really appreciate some help. Cheers people

if you get /system/xbin/spritebud does not exist
what is the issue. (running version 4.4.2) - LG-F260S LG Optimus LTE 3
i've installed the .apk.
enable debugger mode
enable debugger mode on the application
turned phone off and back on
did a backup
did a restore
ran again same error
i'm a noob, go gently with the sandpaper to the arse. maybe new version not supported.

thats what im guessing, LG made a new patch in the kit kat update, i would be careful im not sure if it has a locked boot-loader and could brick it if you try other ways, just wait for an official root method.

Likewise have version 4.4.2 loaded on my F260S and tried several rooting methods with no luck. Am really hoping someone could help us with this dilemma and provide a solution

any solutions yet? specifically for v20f. as advised by a vietnamese site, I need to downgrade to v10m. Unfortunately I always get an error at 4 - 5 % of the upgrading stage and wouldn't pass that point and the connection with the fone (serial port 41, windows7) disconnects

v20f kk for f260s not root apk file. kdz downgard to v10m i can support for you but I do not have enough post to send the link to be posted.

How to Root Lg lte III f260s 4.4.2
After digging finally i found a way how to root Lg f260s
Download tr.apk
Install and run
Click make it ra1n box and exit
And download supersu on play store
Done!!!

try kingroot dowload the apk from the main web. It should work for your phone.
It works for almost any phone

LG G Flex 2 Rooted!

Thanks to Korean user and XDA user Unjustified Dev, we now have root for LG G Flex 2!

ps:in the final step, i hold down Volume Down and Power buttons ,instead of up and power

This WORKS for my F510K G Flex 2, as the previous reply, u guys hv to press [vol-] and [power] instead of [vol+], nice work, keep it up.

Root works
Just rooted my LG G Flex 2 (LG-H955) using this method, worked perfectly. This phone is unable to have the battery removed so hold "Vol+, Power and Vol-" (simultaneously) to reboot the device when in Download Mode.

once u rooted, SuperSU will disable OTA update for the firmwares.. and u need to manually to do it as well

Great guide. I saw able to follow up to the last step when I was not getting the inflating messages. It looks like the attachment. Was there anything with the syntax that I messed up with this command? Is there an additional command I can run to get the inflating commands to come up?

Guys, Here's a good news. You can now spend 1-3 minutes by following the steps below to "unlock" the Dual Window function.
Dual Window Mod
-all apps can be used with dual window, including system apps and 3rd party apps
Preparations
1. Root the device
2. Install Root Explorer(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.speedsoftware.rootexplorer)
**If you're having trouble rooting the device, you may follow the instructions in the videos
[EN] Credits to zedomax
[Chinese with subtitles] This is my work, enjoy~~
Instructions
1. Open Root Explorer
2. head to" /system"
3. change file system to "R/W"
4. open "build.prop" with Text Editor
5. edit "persist.splitwindow.support_all=false" this line from "false" to "true"
*this line can be found somewhere near the bottom or middle-to-bottom
6. save and exit
7. now quit Root Explorer and reboot the device
8 CONGRATZ, YOU NOW HAVE YOUR DUAL WINDOW MODDED
HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY THIS MOD

Just use Sj's recovery tool using the backup system.img you have. I think some stock ones are also present as well.

This happened to me on my H950 after trying to apply this mod on 11z and now I'm stuck in bootloop without any way to flash stock image... Did you ever figure a way to fix this?

I die not figure it out. Had to replace. Fortunately had insurance so dis not cost anything because they couldn't rigure out what happened and i didn't divulge.

It working fine in H950PR 5.1.1 v15A

I am able to root my new unit via KingRoot. Now I am looking for a recovery compatible with my device. The devices I found here does not match my variant of the LG Stylo. I am just wondering if somebody has a similar device and could share their recovery.img and/or custom roms if any.

first you need to figure out if your bootloader is locked if it's not then TWRP should be easy to make for it if not then your in the same boat as use Boost Users....

Sorry but can you provide a link on how to root your H540, having trouble finding how to root it, or maybe im' just looking at the wrong places

you can just use kingroot to use it. i found my kingroot from google.

. .i also used that kingroot but when tried replacing it with SuperSU normal binary installation does not work. .now the only option is to use the trwp method but i just found that this device does not have recovery method. .it would really be a help if someone will share how to fully root this device aside from kingroot

Unfortunately i also use kingroot but it uncompatible with the LG-H540

i tried to replace kingroot with SuperSU Me app, my phone got bootlooped. now on service center since i was not expecting that at all. i have no backup, no stock rom, no nothing, and currently, no phone as well. :crying:

oh. . .sorry. . .i thought that that thread was a root guide for bricked stylos

I used the link.. my stylo got bricked so I used the unbrick process and got rooted.. i did not use kingroot

I rooted this phone last night using king root and its. Working fine now im waiting for custom recoveries also wish somebody would post a custom recovery file

Nop, but you can use the LG LP5.1.1 One Click Root or manual root to root the tmo g4

v15A is older version and basically I will installing a different version of lollipop which means I will lose everything on my phone unless I backup all data ?
and is there another way of downloading the image file .. unable to access mega.nz website may be Google Drive ? or Media Fire

Idk what are you talking about, you said that you have 15b firmware and i linked 15b aswell.

Hey Krakow, thanks for the reply but the easy root tool says it supports H955 Euro. I have H955 but its IND. Should I try?
