How to root LG Optimus LTE3 F260s

I have zero knowledge of how to root a phone and would like to root my Korean LG Optimus LTE 3 (F260s). I have searched to try to find a solution and although the answers may be there, my lack of knowledge is leaving me struggling. I would really appreciate some help. Cheers people

if you get /system/xbin/spritebud does not exist
what is the issue. (running version 4.4.2) - LG-F260S LG Optimus LTE 3
i've installed the .apk.
enable debugger mode
enable debugger mode on the application
turned phone off and back on
did a backup
did a restore
ran again same error
i'm a noob, go gently with the sandpaper to the arse. maybe new version not supported.

thats what im guessing, LG made a new patch in the kit kat update, i would be careful im not sure if it has a locked boot-loader and could brick it if you try other ways, just wait for an official root method.

Likewise have version 4.4.2 loaded on my F260S and tried several rooting methods with no luck. Am really hoping someone could help us with this dilemma and provide a solution

any solutions yet? specifically for v20f. as advised by a vietnamese site, I need to downgrade to v10m. Unfortunately I always get an error at 4 - 5 % of the upgrading stage and wouldn't pass that point and the connection with the fone (serial port 41, windows7) disconnects

v20f kk for f260s not root apk file. kdz downgard to v10m i can support for you but I do not have enough post to send the link to be posted.

After digging finally i found a way how to root Lg f260s
Download tr.apk
Install and run
Click make it ra1n box and exit
And download supersu on play store
Done!!!

try kingroot dowload the apk from the main web. It should work for your phone.

Thanks to Korean user and XDA user Unjustified Dev, we now have root for LG G Flex 2!

Just rooted my LG G Flex 2 (LG-H955) using this method, worked perfectly. This phone is unable to have the battery removed so hold "Vol+, Power and Vol-" (simultaneously) to reboot the device when in Download Mode.

once u rooted, SuperSU will disable OTA update for the firmwares.. and u need to manually to do it as well

Great guide. I saw able to follow up to the last step when I was not getting the inflating messages. It looks like the attachment. Was there anything with the syntax that I messed up with this command? Is there an additional command I can run to get the inflating commands to come up?

But there is no kdz for F510 on the internet.

Do not try it even if tot or kdz is available for that..
H950 has qfuse set and anything that is qfuse<1 ie 0 will hard brick the device..
I just hope that there will be some exploit that can give us custom recovery and kernel someday..
However kernel hijacking is a possibility but devs with enough knowledge arent interested in this device ...
Also MM may not have root simply also due to dm_verity in kernel..
For us h950 users outside USA there may never be a MM either...
I was wondering if we all take it to twitter to demand a solution for custom kernel bombing their twitter we may get a good response
We can even say our devices heat up so much that it reaches temp of 60-70+ so we need to modify vdd freely for all g flex 2...
They may acknowledge the sd810 problem and send a method to unlock all variants..
What do u say guys?

i dont know if it works, i see in another thread someone asking for flash h955 over f510l and the only thing they say is the modem driver maybe dont work, you will dont have network connection...but maybe the rom works.

Now we only need a rooted image.

Yes that is applicable.. But don't downgrade att 5.1.1 to 5.0.1
Downgrade for att 5.1.1 is not possible whatsoever

i bricked send it to lg and i hope it will get fixed by warranty as far of lock boot loader the phone failed while flashing rom and the partitions where changed so when i was flashing stock Rom was stuck at 9 percent on lg up and i read on forums a lot have the same problem maybe i will not root again lg g flex 2 stock marshmallow to be safe in my other phones the rooting process was easy now i dot want to brick it again sorry guys il try to make mods from v10 for 5.1.1 nothing more for you guys me i will not use it im guess root break this phone partitions so sorry

Well, at least you tried. Thanks for that. If you ever decide to look into unlocking the G Flex2's bootloader, make sure to update us

lets just hope for 7.0. I know LG firmware can get up to v30. so far we have v20 mallows

Flashfire may work at least backing up all partitions.
I believe it still needs a custom recovery to flash but I haven't gotten my device yet. Will be here in a few days.

I'm confused about your post.. There is NO kdz for the D850.. Also theres already a guide in the general section. The D850 uses tot files and in which there is no MM tot. I think you may be thinking of the D850PR which those files are already in my guide and in which there is risk by downgrading/upgrading a D850 to a D850PR.
So you may want to change the title to D850PR if you keep this thread.

Yeah but it's D850PR firmware not D850. Which can cause issues for some people if flashed on a D850.
Is it rootable? I didn't think the D850 had root unless you downgraded to kitkat to root? (Sorry haven't really kept up with root)

How is it fixable if MM is not rootable? Where you able to successfully flash back to the D850 KitKat firmware? as normally it causes issues with flashtool when changing around models. But you should really mention that its D850PR firmware so those don't get confused as its not an AT&T D850 firmware.

Yes I know its stock unmodified its a kdz I already had the kdz. But looking around MM 6.0 is not rootable on the D850 thats what I was saying, Only way to root is if you downgrade to KitKat. Unless MM is rootable for the D850PR. But it doesnt seem so. I don't have a D850 anymore to test it.

I don't think you read my post correctly, Yes I know how to go back to stock, I created the guide for it years ago What I am saying is you cant fix the cust_error without root and MM 6.0 doesn't seem rootable.

Hopefully it can be, would be great! Just saying the D850 MM still cannot be rooted to this day. Hopefully there will be some more testers soon. Wish the PR firmware was around back when I had my G3 when it came out

You are using a USB 2.0 port correct? USB 3.0 won't work.
