This is kind of a unique situation, as I've not been able to find a solution to this problem anywhere on the net, not even on XDA.
All of a sudden, I have noticed the above two wakelocks consuming a lot of battery on my Note 3 and completely ruining the experience. The wakelocks appear as numerous bursts on the battery graph settings.
Could someone with the knowledge please comment on what those wakelocks are and how to minimize those? I've read that those wakelocks affect devices with and without root, so it's baffling what's going on.
I'm sure a lot of people will be happy to find a solution, if there is one.
I find it a little surprising that no one has commented in this thread. There has to be someone who knows about this, and I imagine that person would be on XDA.
Could a dev please throw some light on this issue?
Come on. Someone must know what those wakelocks are.
Still hoping someone would address this issue.

After 6 months I figured it out. It's carrier iq. Follow the steps in this post to fix. You need to be rooted. My phone works perfect now after disabling it.

I know that there are hundreds of threads discussing the new update that "fixes" gps. However I wanted to dedicate a post to results... and ONLY results. I really don't want to hear about issues downloading/installing w/e. I would just like to hear the general consensus on whether or not this update did a damn thing for our GPS.
It would be nice if we were able to find out what the exact changes were... it seems they went to the trouble of disabling the GPS menu. I'm curious if this was done to disguise a placebo fix and don't want us to find out what they've done. It would also be nice to see md5 sums of driver files to see if these were touched etc.. If i knew what files to inspect I could assist in providing this information.
Thanks!!!!

And it would be good to figure out if flashing the leaked JH7 that came out a couple weeks ago provides the same result as updating JH7 OTA from AT&T on top of a stock JF6. They share the same name but one is a patch and the other a full ROM so who knows if they're the same. Can someone check the build dates and files for each to see if they are in fact the same?

I am gonna try and say this as nicely as I can. Please do not take this personal.
We need more info before we can help. Rom? Radio? What you did before you noticed this problem. You said you used the AHK and still the same, does this mean that this happened when you were still on stock?
Now I emplore you please understand completely what you are doing before you do it. Would you try and install a new OS on your PC just by a video on the internet or from someones word without looking into and doing some reading? Well I hope not Flashing a rom on your phone is the same thing. You are loading a custom OS on to it and removing the old. Is it easy? Far easier then it should be. Is it dangerous? Yup. Stupidity and rushing always are (not personal). Is it for everyone? No (because what alot of people I have noticed dont understand is that custom roms will ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, Did I say always lol have bugs and need tweaks. This is what we do. A true developer is never happy. If they got to the point of being happy then there would be nothing left to do. Yeah lol not likely. So flashing updates sometimes on an hourly basis is what happens.) Plus not everyone needs root access or a custom rom for what they use the phone for. They flash it cause they want to be cool like everyone else. This is where the issues start. The see a video and come here and start at it and boom they end up with a brick that cant be fixed or returned. Then they come here complaining and yelling about how this bricked their device when it was their own stupidity (yes I consider reprogramming any OS without reading plain out stupid no offence) That caused it.
So in closing please provide as much info as you can about a problem you are having. Including all steps you took to try and fix it. But even before that read the stickies. Hell do what i did and copy the info to a text file and print it out and read it when you have time This will save you, other members, me, and everyone else a ton of time, resources, and hair. lol

I bought a new HTC INSPIRE 4g from amazon it was unlocked. Because i am not american citizen i am from Europe i didn't try if it works properly with american's AT&T , but when i came back in my country i saw that i can not make calls from the phone i haven't done anything before that , so i read in that web site about the hack-ace and before that a guy that i met on the street with the same phone told me that he used this for his phone. So i read the manuel , everything went fine but there was no effect , i had did Karnel's thing. Everything is exactly the same. I dont know about the "Radio". It means that it happened. The Inspire should work on EDGE on my network -- PROVED.
And the other thing is i am web developer and i must admit i am not that into this thing, i can write application but haven't done something like this before, but i read a lot of before "hack" the phone.
Hi guys a new user here and need assistance with one issue that i am facing with a month old google nexus 5. Ill be honest with you guys since the phone is new i am not willing to take risk of flashing as i am new to it. I would appereciate if someone can assist me with scratch how to get this sorted
Thanks in advance!!

Welp, I would recommend you try various radios but since you have an aversion to flashing I don't know what to tell you. This "risk" you speak of is pretty much nonexistent with the N5 as it's damn near impossible to brick. I mean, the N5 was pretty much built for flashing so if I were you I'd at least dip your toes in the water. You're in the right place, there are a ton of guides to follow and friendly folk willing to help. Just gotta put a little effort in.

Thanks so ill give it a try for sure and its like i would need the guide from scratch as i am a neewbie onto this. So i am from India so which radio should i go for and is there any infomation that you may need to assist with me with which perticular radio will work in my region please do let me know.
The phone doesn't drop any signal while i am talking over the phone and its not that frequent as well. However whenever i notice this it annoys me a lot so ill prefer getting rid of that. This phone that i got is after 7 RMA to the website which i bought from and finally this was the device that came with like no issue with the display as in stuck or dead pixels like others.
Please suggest me something and i am ready to move forward on this

Like I said man, there are a ton of guides, just do some searching and lots of reading. People here like to help others who first try to help themselves, and I am the same way. That said, I'm not gonna hold your hand and walk you through it, but if you figure out what you need to do and hit a bump in the road, ask away and I'll have no problem helping out. The best way to learn something is to figure it out yourself, and that's the honest truth.

Sure thing, ill post in here with all the info found on the forums for this and accordingly will request you for suggestion if that is going to work for me or not. Thanks for atleast guiding from where i would need to proceed from.
I can't get the wifi to come on. Constantly flashes but never turns on! Please someone help. I bought off the street so I have no warranty.
probably a hardware issue...
Hi!
Whoever you've bought the phone from, apparently had a very good reason to sell it.
Well, in response to your request: Someone in the forums suggested that replacing the battery might solve this problem. You can try that out; before you do so, also have a look at the summary I've wrote about this WiFi issue here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/qa-wifi-stuck-mac-020000000000-g2-g3-g4-t3452133
Good luck, and if something helps you, post some feedback about it to help other people who experience the same problem.
Root file system - https://ibb.co/0DN4PR1
One of many, many suspicious files - https://ibb.co/VNGwr1S
I have been through numerous phones and the problems persist. It always starts with multiple Google authentication SMS texts. The a DCB authentication text. Then the entire file system end up looking like alphabet soup. I can't code but I can read, and I fear my device is affecting others devices. If anybody has knowledge in coding could you please take a look, especially at the second link I posted? There are files and folders that I know don't belong. Thanks.
this post is really strange, before requesting others to open suspicious links, what exactly are you asking for? this is fishy…
It's just screenshots., it's an image sharing site. I'm just asking if somebody can take a look at the code and tell me wtf is going on with my phone, and my life for that matter. Literally every single thing I own is ruined. I cannot flash, I cannot reinstall OS's. My router us fuct. It started in 2019 and I've been through more devices than I can count. I can't even begin to tell the story but it all dtarted when a guy that lived in my apartment hacked my S9 and gaming PC and was using the devices to order drugs to the residence.
I'm really just trying to find somebody, anybody that will look at what I'm looking at and try to find any sort of possible solution. My life has been completly destroyed.
Sorry for the rant, but, anyways, they're just large screenshots that are too big to post.
I think you would get a better response by actually posting the screen shot instead of posting a link. Especially after what you said your roommate used you account for. Nobody wants to click on a link that they have no idea what may happen.
