I opened Xposed Installer this morning to check for updates. Sense 6 Toolbox and Snapshare both updated, and then something.systemui crashed. I rebooted and now circle battery (which I had gotten from GravityBox) is reading 0%. If I set GravityBox back to the default battery it reads correctly. Anyone else seen this?
I'd try the basic xposed troubleshooting. Just remove the modules reboot try again. If all else fails uninstall xposed framework and try again. If that fails try to find the previous versions of the effected modules

Very possible... although gravity box was never intended to work with sense. It is probably an issue with gravity box, not the sense toolkit.
Well, I had to reinstall Xposed but it seems to be working now. THanks for the help.

I think it was Frederuco who mentioned using Xposed framework to customize his installation of KatKiss... so I got curious and started installing a couple of modules. Problem is, some don't seem to work. I was able to successfully install the DitheredHoloBackground and Master Key Multi-fix modules, but I also tried XHaloFloatingWindow and Xlocky modules. The latter two install just fine, but their settings don't affect anything. Also, I'm not sure how to even use XHaloFloatingWindow. I've used Halo on my phone running ROMs that include PA features, so I'm somewhat familiar with the functionality.
Nothing pressing here, I just like to tinker.
Anybody had any luck with Halo on KatKiss?

I tried the xhalo and it was pretty wonky on KatKiss. I uninstalled it. The only modules I have really used are the XBlastTools and the Music2SD option. Not all modules work with all devices and ROMs. Not sure what else to say.

1)Does using xposed modules affect the performance of your phone!?
2)Does "per app dpi" module work well in kitkat 4.4.2?
3)Is it recommended to even restore the xposed framework+modules via titanium after flashing a "different" rom?
4)Why does fixing permission restore the modifications done via xposed to some apps?
5)are the modification codes injected into the rom or they run over it(sorry if i sound like a noob,i am one)?

1) for some people for no known reason
2) yes, app settings
3) Same as any other app restore. Who cares, do what you want
4) Didn't know it did. "fix permissions" is not a good thing to do. Avoid it at all costs
5) Read the xposed thread. they are not injected (thats the whole point)

I will surely read it.. thanks for getting back!:good:
btw fixing permissions is bad... i did it quite often!
and at times it does help me when i have fcs!
Btw when i restored the entire xposed thing after i recently flashed slim (after coming from stock) some changes offered by gravity box didnt work well i probably think it may be some compatibility issues!

Xposed runs on top, not changing code. Gravity box only supports pure AOSP. The code Gravity box changes is not the same if not AOSP so some things work, some do not.
Dont fix permissions. Recovery doesnt know what permissions should be so it guesses. Bad
Has anyone had success installing xposed framework on the m8 running a stock rooted lollipop rom? I have tried multiple times following the guide in the xposed thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811 with no success.
It worked for me on adrenaline 2.1 but not on a couple of other roms I tried.

What were the steps you took to install it?
I opened xsposed installer >framework > reboot. I only downloaded a couple of modules but they work.

I downloaded the files from the link I posted above..
Install the xposed installer .apk
Reboot from within the installer and grant root privileges.
Flash the framework via TWRP
I have also tried to flash the framework first, install the .apk, and reboot from within the installer to grant root.
Neither way has worked for me.

I have it running on stock rooted, here are the steps I took.
Flashed the xposed arm zip file in TWRP
Installed the 3.0 alpha2 apk
Once installed I went into "framework" and hit soft reboot.
Once the phone was done I installed a module/made it active and soft reboot again.
I don't think you have to take these exact same steps but this is just what I did following a YT video. In "framework" it always says "Installation is only possible maunally via recovery for now." in red letters. That confused me into thinking it was not installed properly but all the modules I'm using are working fine.

I have tried to install this exact same way. After flashing the framework and installing the alpha .apk, I activated greenify and rebooted.
Upon launching greenify, I saw a yellow dialogue box that said auto hibernation service has stopped (auto hibernation worked fine before trying to use xposed) I attempted to enable the xposed features and a screen popped up telling me to install the xposed framework.
I have since restored my nand backup I made before flashing xposed, and greenify is back to auto hibernating, just cant use the xposed features.

Have you tried installing other modules? Looking around the greenify sections here on XDA seems it wasn't ready for 5.0, but there is a beta thread that you may want to take a look at.

I just found that beta thread, and I am now trying to install xposed again.
I also tried Xsense, and did not have any luck.
What modules are you using? I will activate them and test.

Currently I'm using
Sense 6 lockscreen mods (LP)
Sense 6 Toolbox beta (to find the beta you have to change your settings, open the module in xposed/scroll all the way right to settings/change to "beta")
YouTube AdAway
YouTube Background Playback

I reinstalled xposed, and updated greenify to beta 11. I also installed Sense 6 Toolbox beta. Everything seems to be working just fine.
My problem was using modules that were not updated to work with lollipop. Thanks for all your help!
so it seems that xposed has been enabled on 5.1.x for the mate 7. it seems that you have to freeze themes and edit a few files. can anyone show the steps in order to do this?
I have it installed and all I done was tick the unhook resources in settings, problem is not many modules work,I wanted ambient screen and had no luck.

oh! wow! i guess xposed v79 fixed many problems. i know that there are many modules that dont work, it seems that for now its a gamble. thanks for the help snake65, ill install it later and hope that per app settings works!
Yes, post the steps please!
so i tried installing last night and while it worked, the framework disables the navbar. anyone know of a solution to this?

The best solution for now is to use Kang VIP rom. Xposed on this ROM works by disabling the themecolor and hwthemes line from Bild.prop as well as freezing/uninstalling the Themes file. Then turn on "disabled Resource Hooks". But what's even better is once you have Xposed working on Kang VIP, you can actually tick off the "Disable Resource Hooks" option and make theming-related modules work.
I have a hunch that one of the main reasons why Xposed does not work on stock EMUI (aside from the theming conflict) is because SELinux is set to "Enforcing" by default. On Kang VIP its set to "Permissive".
thank you for the help blitzkriegger. i was running cm11 until last week. the reason i upgraded was due to wanting to try kangvip but after flashing it feel right so i flashed the emui rom and have stayed with it since. i really hope that a stock android rom will be released. i really hate emui.
im going to be sticking with the stock emui rom so, with that in mind how do i get xposed to work successfully? according to your posting. i just used titanium backup and freeze the themes app, set selinux to permissive, disables hooks and done right? is the buildprop stuff really needed?
I installed it last night on Beta 3. Everything's good so far. I haven't made a lot of tweaks, but the ones I've made work, and I haven't had any problems with force-closes or anything.

What version of xposed are you using? I'm having issues getting it up and running.
Thanks in advance!
I'm running version 90.1-beta3 systemless for SDK 26 installed from Magisk.
Same but no app icon appears. . Any recommendations?
Can you launch it from within the Xposed installer?
Xposed shows as installed within magisk but no icon for Xposed.
I think you also need to install the Xposed Installer. At least I did. It'll provide you with the UI to install and manage modules. I installed it from the link below. Just pick the one that matches the version you installed in Magisk.

You installed the wrong Xposed to get the installer...
Go to the Xposed thread and download the installer...
Make sure it's the one topjonwu modified... And reboot...
