NC1 to NB1 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 General

Hello, I am trying to get from NC1 to NB1 so I can eventually get back to MK3. I have searched but Iamhaving trouble finding a step by step (assuming it exists) on the site. Can someone please direct me in the right direction? Much appreciated
Thanks
Neil

You can do this to get back to NB1

You will have to do some reading to go back to MK3 with SafeStrap options.

[Q] Bricked Samsung Galaxy S i9000

Hi guys! I don't post here often so please go easy on me!
I have managed to brick my phone updating it from 2.2.1 through Samsung Kies. Now I don't really care how it is done, I just want my phone back with the stock firmware.
Worth noting, I kind of know how to use Odin, so if Odin is the route, if someone can point me in the right direction of a PIT and TAR file, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone successfully downgraded Verizon Note Edge to KitKat 4.4.4?

If so, would you mind sharing the procedure? I've tried flashing the 4.4.4 firmware in 3 different computers, with Odin 3.4, 3.7 and 3.9, using several cables and several USB ports, but it always results in a <ID:0/003> FAIL! (Auth) or stuck on aboot. I've done factory reset, wiped cache, turned on debugging. Lollipop sucks the battery harder than a truck stop hooker, and would love to go back to KitKat. Thanks for any help thrown my way.
Not everybody at once, people! That's what I get for buying a phone only 3 other people own. It's OK, I still love you, Edge.
I was able to downgrade as were a few others with Edges. A little searching and you'll find all the answers you're looking for.

Is your Edge from Verizon? I found information for other carriers (which I assumed would be the same procedure, obviously with the right firmware), but since my downgrade failed miserably, I want to know if anyone else with a Verizon Note Edge has been able to downgrade.

Check your PM's
Please share this info
Please share on how to roll back to kit kat on the Verizon note edge. I upgraded to lollypop and do not like the battery life and a few other things that have come about because of this upgrade. I have tried using Odin to revert back to 4.4.4 but keep getting a failed message. I would be forever great full if you could please send me or post this information.
Thanks in advance for the help!
If I am ever able, I will. Still stuck with 5.0.1.
Hi gang. FYI... In trying to help MEXICO downgrade his Edge, I sent him a PM with information I thought could be useful for downgrading his Verizon version. Apparently this was something he had already seen and was of no help to him. I have been searching for the tar files for Verizon edge kitkat to no avail. I will continue to research, but at this point I cannot offer any help as I am on AT&T. If I come across something that may be useful, I'll let you know. I encourage you all to also keep searching and share any information you might find. I'm sorry that I'm pretty much useless at this point.
Bootloader TAR File
I have managed to find a sample of the TAR file for the 915F version of the Galaxy Note Edge. I have also been able to find this thread that details what info needs to be made into the TAR file from the downloaded 4.4.4 Verizon Firmware file but I have been unable to create the TAR bootloader file correctly. I keep getting individual files in a TAR and not an MD5 in a TAR. It is a start and hopefully someone with greater knowledge of creating said TAR file can take this info and run with it.
Sample TAR file Thread:

What needs to be in the TAR file:

Here is the place to download the stock firmware:

Hope this is the beginning of something that can work. Please let me know if I can be of further help.

Sorry but I don't have any other files other than what is posted. I stopped all dev work a few months ago and no longer have the tools on my computer to extract and repack the files.

Custom Firmware

I am trying to figure out how I can decompress stock Odin Flash-able firmware for Samsung Phones to remove google play and all google apps from the firmware, and re-compress the firmware file and still be able to flash it successfully with Odin. Does anyone have any advice on this at all? Is this even possible, or must I build android from source for that?? I'm not looking for someone to hand me the answer I just would like some hints and maybe a point in the right direction. Thank you for your time and thanks in advance for any tips or hints.

How to root xoom 4.1.2

I just want to root my xoom 4.1.2. I am a newbie, and I have read many different guides, but I can not find a recovery for my model.
I was following a guide on the [HOW] Rookie Rooting, Flashing And UnRooting Under One Roof thread over at the xoom forums dot com.
and it says to download a recovery image that no longer exists! D. Download this recovery image(recovery-Tiamat-R4c-100611-1150-cwm.img) and place it in the "SDK_tools folder" at your PC C:drive: here
I can't find that file anywhere!! Is there another recovery image I can use in its place? Or do I have to follow a whole new set of instructions to root my xoom. Please help! I can't go buy another tablet right now, and apps and Google products have stopped working properly on my stock 4.1.2!
Thank you all in advance!

I have the same problem. I can not find this file. It seems as if the earth had swallowed it. If someone has it could you tell us where to find it?
Thank you
Here's a link to a copy of the recovery I happen to still have around. Just stumbled across this thread, since I came here in preparation for rolling my Xoom back to stock due to recent issues it's developed. It's hosted up on MediaFire, hopefully no one minds.
