Standalone Driver - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Can someone post a link to the standalone Windows driver? I know I saw it on here the other day but can't find it now. I'm at work and don't want to have to install and uninstall something that's unnecessary like HTC Sync.

syncing with mac

I am an avid mac user and was wondering if anyone elese on her uses one with winmo phones? how do i sync my phone to my mac or better yet get it to show up on my mac so i can add program, movies, songs, ect.
thanks in advance
anyone
anyone???????
Yeah sure, I posted on bluetooth syncing with mac which I later figured out how to. I use the missing sync which works wonderful, If you need to figure out how to use bluetooth read my other post here or PM me, cheers
yeah i am on the freeware side of things thanks for that though at least there are a few programs out there that i can rely on if needbe
You should definitely check out Missing Sync. It's well worth the money, IMO. I haven't seen any "freeware" that has anywhere close to the same functionality.
so i got VMWare Fusion 2 and am working on getting it to sync in my windows window and will keep you guys updated on how that works out
You can also use Syncmate, the basic version is for free.
I'd be interested to hear about that. Have you considered using crossover (it's probably what I would use if I needed to install some windows apps on my mac). Why haven't you just bought the missing sync??? Let me know how you like it and also for what apps do you use it? cheers

Does the full version transfer all my phone contacts with pictures? The same goes for my songs on iTunes?
Please let me know.
Missing synch does it's job partially here. It refuses to synch my calender with Entourage, and with calender.app...
No idea why.
I use missing sync too. syncs everything perfectly with entourage 2008 (12.1.0). Even time sync.
Have only used USB though, didnt try bt yet.
Also, it keeps whining that the computername of my macbook is too long -_-
Still, great program
yeah i was going to get missing sync but my i got a copy of windows for free and vmware i had laying around. the only problem i have is that i cant get windows to open discs..
also is there any way to use the front camera to take pictures?
also is there an AIM app out that will work over wifi?

Fixed this yesterday. After removing all calenders except the entourage one in iCal it worked.
Question:
How do I copie Files to the Storagecard, using the phone, instead of the extract Micrisd-connect to MBPro?
In other words, how do I make OSX see my phone as storage?
As you connect your phone you'll see three options, active sync, disk drive and internet sharing. Selecting disk drive does exactly what you need

Help with NET compact

I am trying to download some apps to my Fuze. There are a lot of them that call for the NET compact 3.5. I downloaded the NET. c directly onto my phone but when I went to open and install it said that this is not a program for windows mobile. I'm new to this and would appreciate any help. What do I need to do? I tried installing the NET. c on to my computer but it didn't do anything either. Thank you for your help.

Is it possible that these are installers you're supposed to run from your computer and they finish their install over an activesync connection?
It might help if you let us know which apps you're trying to install and where you got them from (non-pirated of course).
You need the rigth cab http://www.4shared.com/file/70602905/58d46ffa/NETCFv35wmarmv4i.html
Thank you for replying. I tried to do searches but I kept timing out on the xda website (dial-up only in my area), so I looked on the net. All I could find was a download from microsoft. For some reason I am also having trouble with my active sync. The disk that came with my phone says it needs the new adobe flash player which I have but it won't read, it's having problems with vista. So because of these problems I need to download directly to my phone I guess. The download NET c from microsoft was the one that said it wasn't for windows mobile.
I am just trying to load some different apps to my Fuze for more usablility, games like scobble, a ram cleaner things like that. Nothing pirated for sure, but most I find if not all need the new NET to work.
Any help or ideas would be much appreciated, thanks again.
Thanks araponga I will give that a try.

Awesome, HTC has impressed me with their obvious care for their customers (despite not designing the phone that is extremely attractive). Kudos to HTC for their hard work making Android a great platform
htc sync
for those of us with Haykuro's built mounted to their g1 like me and my friends.
their is a htc sync program out their you can get it from http://www.htc.com/tw/SupportViewNew...64&news_id=167 . i thought i might post it up here.
I think you mean:

Does it actually work? If so, does it only work on those builds with the HTC framework? (Not that I personally need it. lol)
It totally messed up my phone ASH!!! My computer wouldn't even detect my phone after i install the program. I tried removing it and it was giving me some x86 errors lol. So i had to do a system restore to get my phone drivers back..
Direct link
did you download the latest drivers too?
Can someone upload the HTCSYnc101.zip to another mirror ?please . thanks in advance.

The drivers do not seem to work for me on Windows 7 64 bit, so I guess I will have to wait
I don't think I will be using it often.
It just duplicated all my contacts, so I went into googlemail and deleted all contacts...re-synced and it deleted all contacts out of outlook 2007.
fortunatly i took a back up of my PST file before hand
Yep same thing here drivers not compatible with SEVEN 32bit :s but don't worry
launching the command
ADB remount (from the sdk)
then launching HTCSync on pc
then HTCSync on device and he find the phone

Has anybody been able to get Sync working on non-Haykuro builds? It installs fine, but doesn't work...I need to check logcat.
So what does this do, just sync contacts and thats it??
yup, just contacts...bit dissapointing really, I was hoping for a proper sync solution with calender, tasks, memos etc.
It is only builds based on the HTC fw, not google's fw. Which is why it works with Haykuros stuff...and the Hero Beta

[Q] Rooted HTC EVO - Can I sync with outlook?

Hi all, I apologize if this has been asked somewhere. If so please direct me to a link as I couldnt find the answer.
I have recently rooted my HTC EVO with unrevoked. As you experts know to do this I need to UNINSTALL the HTC Sync software and install some custom Windows drivers that the phone connects with.
My QUESTION:
How can I now sync the phone with outlook (for calendar and contacts) as I did with HTC sync? Do I simply reinstall HTC sync?
Will that mess up the other Windows driver in case I need to unroot the phone at a later date?
If I am able to reinstall HTC sync, do I have to uninstall/remove the other driver first?
Thanks so much for any assistance.
I THINK that works, if I'm not mistaken that is what I did. I did the unrevoked root back in march and I have since been able to sync so I can only assume that was what I did. I have recently had some weird issues with my phone so I was reinstalling everything and came across this issue again, and was trying to find a definitive answer. I don't understand why your question wasn't answered, it seems to be hard to get an answer if you don't have several posts, but you have to ask stupid questions to get there. Obviously I don't think yours is a stupid question, but apparently the phone gods didn't find it worthy enough for an answer.....

[Q] Using marketplace in emulator / downloading XAPs?

Hi guys,
I got a Windows Phone. I had doubts, I swapped it for an Android. Now I think I might have made the wrong choice! But I don't want to do yet another return without confirming some stuff to myself. My big problem for WP7 was that the maps and Google Chat integration weren't very good. I've downloaded the XAP for Nokia Maps and loaded it into the emulator- it solves most of the complaints I have, so all I have left is GChat.
There's an app called OctroTalk that is apparently way better than IM+- it's free in the marketplace, and I want to try this out in the emulator too. I got Marketplace access by following these instructions:
(removed link because I'm not allowed to post them)
but I can't actually sign in with my Live account. Any ideas why? Or, is there any way to get XAP files from the Marketplace to manually sideload myself?
Found an answer online! Can't post the link, but you can Google for it.
Unfortunately, OctroTalk doesn't seem much better than IM+. Shame.
