Anyone know a root app that can change the screen color to b&w?

As a Skin? Or just s/w colours like a non color display?

Im posting this for a coworker of mine who is having problems with his screen. On occasion his screen becomes very dim. At times the RBG values get messed up and his screen has a blue, green or red tint. Is this a common problem? Also if anyone has had this problem how did verizon handle it?

Hi,
My nexus s is new and since day 1 i just use it with 0 brightness.after hours of exploring, i noticed that when i open up the keyboard for more than 10secs and drag down the notification bar the keyboard boxes can still be clearly seen.its like a shadow of the keyboard imprinted in the notifiaction.noticed this in market as well when searching for apps the keyboard shadow can be clearly seen.also more than 5 sec static on your homescreen, after that i drag down i can clearly see the icons shadows in the grey notifocation bar. Is this normal? All of you have this behavior when on 0 brightness?or do i have a weak display?its kind of annoying sometimes.

Its sort of a burn image. The blues fade out and get a yellow haze. You can test this by displaying a blue image for example google image blue and zoom in. Auto brightness and sleeping the ohone when not using will keep the colors rich. I had a vibrant that did the same thing.

Sucks but it cant be fixed without replacing the phone/screen

Are you using voodoo colors?

Hmm interesting.. maybe the stock washed out with yellow tint screen is causing the image retentions.ill soon find that out when i root my phone.thanks for the insight bro

My screen is shaking or vibrating just a little. If I go to the stock recovery and look at the highlightet text I can see that the text is vibrating. Am I the only one? It is barely noticable during a booted up system, but it is anoying.
Do you have a solid screen in stock recovery?
Yes

Yes wobbling, but just a little. You only see it when you stare at the higlighted text in recovery, but just the highlighted.

Probably my eyes is tricking me or I was not aware of this wobbling thing for 3 years, because now I see wobbling my optimus 2x's screen.

Try showing it to someone else without saying anything, you might only perceive it to be "shaking" because you believe it is there and are looking for it.
It seems like you can't change the color of the LED with this phone using Lightflow. Anyone have any luck with this?

If it's like the last few HTC phones (rezound, one, one max) you only get two colors.

HTC phones don't have a tri-color LED like LG or Samsung phones so any custom LED apps won't work.

Yeah, this kind of sucks.
Hello
I noticed that the colors in the notification bar are a little bit different than the rest of the screen, I notice that after a while since I updated to the official KitKat.
I don't know if this a Manufacturer defect or its not
The problem can be seen more clearly in gray colors.
I hope you check if this problem is on your device or not

I can't understand what you mean. Maybe a photo of your problem would be useful.

And when you scroll down right or left in black you find some purple smudges.
Some say it is normal bcuz samsung used some low quality equipment. And most of people have this.
Where is ur flipboard icon. Concentrate on it while u scroll between pages. You will find a black trace behind it.

Very low quality for a high end device of 2013.
Sent from my GT-I9506 using Tapatalk
i would not say low quality.. rather high end tech but not quite ready for mass production. apart from ****ing burn in.. i cant imagine the joy of the owner if that happens on 6000€ oled tv

take screenshot
copy it to your computer
compare between your screen and your truly phone screen
and write here back
This is just an issue of uneven aging of the individual LED's. Statusbar stays black most of the time so the pixels do not age as fast as other pixels on the screen.
Within time this makes statusbar appear more bright than the rest of the screen.
My 4 year old and still kicking strong Galaxy S1 (I9000) has this noticeable on any evenly colored image.
Now that I know of this, I use Tinted statusbar mod (requires Xposed) to keep statusbar from being black all the time. This means the LED's in statusbar will also age faster = more so with the rest of the screen.
