[Q] screen is shaking/vibrating - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My screen is shaking or vibrating just a little. If I go to the stock recovery and look at the highlightet text I can see that the text is vibrating. Am I the only one? It is barely noticable during a booted up system, but it is anoying.
Do you have a solid screen in stock recovery?

Yes

Yes wobbling, but just a little. You only see it when you stare at the higlighted text in recovery, but just the highlighted.

Probably my eyes is tricking me or I was not aware of this wobbling thing for 3 years, because now I see wobbling my optimus 2x's screen.

Try showing it to someone else without saying anything, you might only perceive it to be "shaking" because you believe it is there and are looking for it.

SCREEN

Idk if anybody has really had this happen ever on their android phone. Sometimes the color of my screen will be pink. Now just a while ago it was blue. Like everything is blue. Is this water damage or what?

I never had that issue with mine.
Though, I did have the phantom line at the bottom of the screen when I was running MIUI.

Mine had a yellow hue once. Fixed just by the pressing the power button on and off and back on. Never had it happened just that time like 3 days ago.

It happens to mine from time to time....first pink a couple of times then blue...freaked out when I first saw it but if I change screen brightness it goes away...doesn't matter what ROM...
Someone posting about this a week or so ago and he said he was unrooted stock....
Btw: I took a screen shot thinking it would come out and I'd post a pic here but the screen was perfect....

Mine did this when I started using MIUI, until then I never had this problem. Just turning the screen on and off seemed to fix it but I'm curious as to if it's actually hardware or something in the ROM. My infuse isn't that old.
Yeah, it's happened to me about 3 times, 2 yellow, one BRIGHT purple.
It only happens on full brightness too, as soon as you touch the brightness meter, it goes away.
Note to self, set brightness just a notch below full.

Have had the pink screen a few times myself. I just hit the power button, into sleep mode, then back out of sleep mode, and no issues. I'm running Infused, and auto brightness.
Happened to me once. Went pink...when I was on dlev. Rebooted and fine after that.

Noticed with my Captivate I had this issue with some roms when I was on CM7 and DG. When I would do a update it would go away.

Keyboard and other elements shadowing normal?

Hi,
My nexus s is new and since day 1 i just use it with 0 brightness.after hours of exploring, i noticed that when i open up the keyboard for more than 10secs and drag down the notification bar the keyboard boxes can still be clearly seen.its like a shadow of the keyboard imprinted in the notifiaction.noticed this in market as well when searching for apps the keyboard shadow can be clearly seen.also more than 5 sec static on your homescreen, after that i drag down i can clearly see the icons shadows in the grey notifocation bar. Is this normal? All of you have this behavior when on 0 brightness?or do i have a weak display?its kind of annoying sometimes.

Its sort of a burn image. The blues fade out and get a yellow haze. You can test this by displaying a blue image for example google image blue and zoom in. Auto brightness and sleeping the ohone when not using will keep the colors rich. I had a vibrant that did the same thing.

Sucks but it cant be fixed without replacing the phone/screen

Opening the Camera changes my brightness, is this normal?

I haven't experienced this in my past Android devices so it's kind of odd.

Pretty sure it's a Sense thing - I imagine the idea is to make sure the viewfinder is as bright as possible.
I haven't noticed it in AOKP, and I've kinda missed it.
But it goes back to original settings shortly after closing it

Help, my phone is being dumb!?

My phone keeps freezing and the screen does not respond to touches until I turn the phone in standby and back on. The camera app always freezes too, usually when it's on low battery. Also the touch screen sometimes messes up. I touch the screen and it still thinks my finger is touching the screen when it's not, so the screen gets stuck.
I'm sending it in for repair, because I have problems with the power button, which completely died on me. Is there anything I can do to fix the touch screen issues? Or should I just throw the phone out. I'm tired of all the problems it's giving me.
Thanks

My gf is having the same trouble with her atrix. Seems to be a common issue on this phone, caused by a dyingdigitizer.

Replaced Screen issues

So I bought a replacement screen and it acts weird. It work only for a minute but then glitches like crazy then black screen. Did I do something wrong ? Pretty sure I didn't and every time I boot it looks like this.
