[Q]GPS Speed

Does someone knows an application that shows the GPS speed in the most upper bar (I don't know how it's called, but I mean the bar where you see your Google navigation icon, your 3G/Wifi logo/ reception station/ battery status clock etc)
This would be verry handy to use in combination with google navigation.
Thanks in forward!
I use Speedview. This app doesn't directly show the speed in the status bar at the top but it does have an option which allows you to keep the applicaiton alive in the backgroud even when its not the active window. This app displays a speedview icon on the status bar as long as the applicaiton is running.
I am not sure how this works in other phones but in my HTC Desire I can drag down the taskbar and view the speed.

Okay thank you for the reply, I will surely try this app.
Altough I would like an app where I can see my speed without touching my phone, and while using google maps navigation

Why not Google Navigator? It shows your speed. And don't you have a speedometer on your car?

Google maps navigator does not show my speed.
Also the meter in every car isn't 100% accurate, but gps is
I searched in all the options in google maps, but I can't find any option that shows my speed.
Does anyone if this function really is in google maps navigation?
A gps speedometer probably won't be too precise

As far as I know gps is very precise, but maybe someone else can tell me if this is really through or just a myth

Most of them are pretty precise keeping a couple of things in mind.
You need to drive at a steady speed because sat position updates are not instant.
Putting on the cruise control in your car should show a steady and correct speed (*)
At very slow speed accuracy is an issue since gps is only accurate to a couple of meter (feet) so the faster you travel that tolerance will be eliminated.
* I don't like the GPS reception of my HD2. It picks up sats really fast but there is alot of noise on the signal it gets which gives me crazy jumps in speed
All modern GPS receives use doppler measurement for speed calculation. It's very accurate and isn't affected by position inaccuracy.

anyway, no one knows an app that can do this?

Only ambient temperature, for body temperature you must use medical thermometer.
Looks really good, nice job!
Any chance of adding history graphs, like Weather Station? This is the one thing stopping me from replacing that app with yours.

Google does not allow developer from my country sell app. I don't know why Google do this, Because i can sell app on Amazon, Samsung, AppStore. You can see list here: https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/150324.
So i must always publish free app on Play Store.
Looking very nice.
How much time does it take to meassure the temp ?

Because the heat from your body and phone.
Update:
- v1.07: Fix Pressure/Altimeter calibrate. Use less power with widget.
Will be available next 2 hours on Play store
Like the app. An option to update the widget on touch would be great, along with the regular interval options.

Temperature, barometer and humidity sensor based apps

Forgot that note 3 has these sensors as well...
I am testing out some apps
Here are some that use these sensors..
1- Favorite so far is weather signal - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opensignal.weathersignal
2- Ambient- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thePaze.Ambiance
3- Even S health makes use of these sensors
Whats every one using ???
There are a lot of apps that make use of the temperature, humidity and pressure sensors. Unfortunately most developers don't understant that some values, especially pressure, need to have the option of manual calibration.
Since then i use Weather Station Pro, simple and clear widget, refresh on tap - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aminor.weatherstationpro
and i'm waiting for Thermometer Plus Pro to make the widget to be refresh on tap also - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dungelin.thermometerplus

Alternative app for heart rate monitoring

Since I disabled shealth because I didn't want it to count steps the whole day and collect any other data in background I was wandering if there is any other app which takes use of the heart rate sensor? Didn't fund Amy in the play store so far.
You can try my app Heart Rate Plus: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dungelin.heartrate
Support heart rate sensor by default or camera .
Thanks

Are you the developer for this app?
If yes I am just curious. I am cooking a custom aosp lineage based rom on galaxy s6 running .
I noticed you app when install on stock rom, and opened it directly ask for permission to use built in sensor and when granted it works perfectly.
But in my custom rom, when i install and run the app, it ask me to permission for camera and uses camera to check pulse rate. I have to manually go into settings to activiate built in heart rate sensor.
My question what does this app look for to know if the device has a built-in-HRM sensor?
I have added featured permissions in my rom
Code:
android.hardware.sensor.heartrate.ecg.xml
android.hardware.sensor.heartrate.fitness.xml
android.hardware.sensor.heartrate.xml
Can you help me?
