Alternative app for heart rate monitoring - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Since I disabled shealth because I didn't want it to count steps the whole day and collect any other data in background I was wandering if there is any other app which takes use of the heart rate sensor? Didn't fund Amy in the play store so far.

You can try my app Heart Rate Plus: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dungelin.heartrate
Support heart rate sensor by default or camera .

Thanks

Are you the developer for this app?
If yes I am just curious. I am cooking a custom aosp lineage based rom on galaxy s6 running .
I noticed you app when install on stock rom, and opened it directly ask for permission to use built in sensor and when granted it works perfectly.
But in my custom rom, when i install and run the app, it ask me to permission for camera and uses camera to check pulse rate. I have to manually go into settings to activiate built in heart rate sensor.
My question what does this app look for to know if the device has a built-in-HRM sensor?
I have added featured permissions in my rom
Code:
android.hardware.sensor.heartrate.ecg.xml
android.hardware.sensor.heartrate.fitness.xml
android.hardware.sensor.heartrate.xml
Can you help me?

Only ambient temperature, for body temperature you must use medical thermometer.
Looks really good, nice job!
Any chance of adding history graphs, like Weather Station? This is the one thing stopping me from replacing that app with yours.

Google does not allow developer from my country sell app. I don't know why Google do this, Because i can sell app on Amazon, Samsung, AppStore. You can see list here: https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/150324.
So i must always publish free app on Play Store.
Looking very nice.
How much time does it take to meassure the temp ?

Because the heat from your body and phone.
Update:
- v1.07: Fix Pressure/Altimeter calibrate. Use less power with widget.

Like the app. An option to update the widget on touch would be great, along with the regular interval options.

Oh god, why someone needs those tools? S Health or *#0*# and there Sensors...

Temperature, barometer and humidity sensor based apps

Forgot that note 3 has these sensors as well...
I am testing out some apps
Here are some that use these sensors..
1- Favorite so far is weather signal - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.opensignal.weathersignal
2- Ambient- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thePaze.Ambiance
3- Even S health makes use of these sensors
Whats every one using ???
There are a lot of apps that make use of the temperature, humidity and pressure sensors. Unfortunately most developers don't understant that some values, especially pressure, need to have the option of manual calibration.
Since then i use Weather Station Pro, simple and clear widget, refresh on tap - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aminor.weatherstationpro
and i'm waiting for Thermometer Plus Pro to make the widget to be refresh on tap also - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dungelin.thermometerplus

[APP] [3.0+] Selfio - HD Selfie app

Selfio is a unique app with a patented idea of using front cam of your device to frame and back cam to shoot the same image.
Frame your selfie using front cam.
Flip such that back cam faces you
Device senses flip and shoots your selfie in HD with flash if needed.
It is available on play store now and will soon be available on app store too. Please download and tell me what you guys think. It uses magnetometer to sense flipping. Working on gyro sensing now.
Nice app but most of the time the delay is very long and picture gets blurred by moving the device. There should be a help section or tutorial.

Anand, have you tried setting resolution to maximum inside the settings? also, can you share what device you are using? Because we are aware of a bug on Nexus 5 and a few other devices and we are fixing it with next update.

Thahim, thank you for your comments. Can you let me know what device you tried it on? Also, help is inside the settings gear. We are trying to design a better design for the tutorials.

Facebook & Instagram app always changing between 90hz & 60hz

OnePlus 7 Pro 12+256GB.
I'm hoping OnePlus will add a section in the apps settings to force either refresh rate for apps.

Probably yeah, but doing it for couple random apps and not letting you choose isn't great move from OnePlus
Yeah,
I have put in a suggestion on the OnePlus Community Forum. Generally the more people who provide feedback on a given matter, the more likely it is they will do something about it as they base things not on one individual suggestion but on the quantity of responses for a given idea.
I would suggest therefore that you guys all provide separate feedback requesting that they improve the auto mode for screen refresh and also request they add a manual setting to allow you to choose what refresh rate you have on a per app basis.

90hz Refresh rate on Poco x3 NFC !?

Hello
If the screen by default support refresh rate from 60~120 Hz ! Why there is no option to limit screen refresh rate On "90Hz" ?
Is it hardware matter or software optimization !?

It's a software limitation. Use a custom ROM to get a consistent experience. All of them have it as an option.

There is a post in this forum about how to set 90hz.
It doesn't require root it flash custom ROM.
One app from Google play is sufficient. I have tried and it worked.
