[APP] [3.0+] Selfio - HD Selfie app - Android Apps and Games

Selfio is a unique app with a patented idea of using front cam of your device to frame and back cam to shoot the same image.
Frame your selfie using front cam.
Flip such that back cam faces you
Device senses flip and shoots your selfie in HD with flash if needed.
It is available on play store now and will soon be available on app store too. Please download and tell me what you guys think. It uses magnetometer to sense flipping. Working on gyro sensing now.

Nice app but most of the time the delay is very long and picture gets blurred by moving the device. There should be a help section or tutorial.

nice
Great app work but sometime fails to give hd image.Quality is not too fine,,as it delays while capturing image.

Thank you guys

Anand, have you tried setting resolution to maximum inside the settings? also, can you share what device you are using? Because we are aware of a bug on Nexus 5 and a few other devices and we are fixing it with next update.

Thahim, thank you for your comments. Can you let me know what device you tried it on? Also, help is inside the settings gear. We are trying to design a better design for the tutorials.

Other Camera Software?

Hi guys!
I really enjoy the X10 camera, but I think that jpeg compression is too high. I was comparing images captured with Snap Photo and with the bundled camera software to show you how Snap Photo retains a lot more detail, even their maximum resolution it is lot smaller than 8MP. But today I not being able to take pictures larger than 640x480, probably a bug! =\
Anyway, somebody knows a camera software that uses the entire 8mp camera and has better compression settings than original camera software?
If I root my X10, there is a chance to change those compression settings?

Just downloaded the demo version of vignette.. it's reet proper bo I tell thee... Hee. Hee. Shamon..
+1 for Vignette! Its worth the $4 or whatever it is. Even just for the flash support.
Vignette all the way.
reasons being.
Flash Support ON/OFF/AUTO
lower compression photos between 3.5mb and 8mb
(meaning more info in the photos for blown up prints and editing)
higher DPI (original S.E. camra app 72dpi, vignette 96dpi) meaning deeper better images
and many many effects.
although i thought the processing time for photos was annoying but you can just take photos and lock ur phone and it will finish up in sleep mode.
definitely worth the money.
examples of photos taken with vignette, not retouched, just using vignette setting and effects and original size
http://img375.imageshack.us/g/20100710160347439.jpg/
taken for experiments. got more and i have comparison pix to compae Vignette and original S.E. camera app.
upload tomorrow.
can email if wanted, pm me

Umm...the same place you can get any other apps..
The Market?
I cant find there the option 'buy'....

How do you used the x10's full 8mp on Vignette, it seems to only go up to 3.1mp?
Thanks
If you have the latest version, 2010-07-06.4, there's a button on the screen that gives you instant access, where the largest file size under JPEG file settings is listed as "X - 8.0 megapixels".
Older versions only go up to 3.1MP.
Ok thanks, ill purchase an update.

Blurry picture

Hi guys,

With auto and ISO HJR, I've often blurry pictures..
is there a fix to lower shutter time? it's a shame to have such a good sensor and a bad software under it...

XNPH44S stock
The camera prefer to have low ISO and too high time exposure so it takes blurry picture
Please try out the "Sport" and "Action" mode if you haven't already. Those might yield the result you are after. I've also notice that OnePlus's camera requires some steady hands to achieve blur-free pictures. If possible try getting a mini tripod for it and boom problem solved. Or if you don't want to make any other purchase, go grab the "Perfectly Clear" app from Amazon app store (for free right now), the app features a very effective anti-shake feature that helps alot (from my experience) plus other good features that the stock camera app lacks. Let me know how it works out for you
I'll try perfectly clear... I hope cyanogen team will fix his camera app

[Q] bad photo results with google camera app?

Hi
I tried to take a photo for a white wall with flash in dark room.
What made me feel bad with google camera app is there are two area divided on the photo shown in the attachment
Meanwhile, the stock camera app was just fine as normal.
I'm using opo 64g with blisspop 1.4, any idea?
Thanks
I've never liked the Google Camera anyway, the stock one is as good as can be for normal users anyway.

Bro, you should never attach you're emotional well being to a camera app. You can never give a truly objective GPlay Store review if you do this. I would think that by hanging your emotions on a camera app would just be a determinant to your health in general.
It's a known issue when you make photos with flashlight with the Google Camera.
You can turn off the flashlight...
After many camera app testings, Camera FV5 rocks. Of course full version.
Even had problems with stock camera, got pixelated lines when i recorded video.
In FV5 no problems.
Good luck.

[HOWTO][WIP] Enable Camera2 and manual camera settings on Moto X Style/Pure

*Generic warning about messing with system stuff*
Summary
Thanks to @defcomg and @troopii, we have a working way to enable manual camera functions and .dng raw file capture on our Moto X Pure. This is still a work in progress as you will see.
Steps
Method 1:
1. Enable camera2 api by adding the line persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1 to the bottom of your build.prop.
2. Reboot
3. Install the modified version of FreeDCam from this thread.
4. Open FreeDCam. It will probably force close.
5. Open FreeDCam again.
6. Explore to see what you can do. On the left of the capture screen is the option to change from jpeg to raw. This will save .dng files that you can edit in Snapseed or other raw editors (including Adobe Lightroom on the PC).
By changing the exposure mode or focus mode off of auto, you can then click on the gear in the lower left of the capture screen and change your shutter speed, iso, and use manual focus. There are a few other things you can change here too.
Edit: method 2 removed because of incompleteness and unknown errors.
Warnings
1. Using method 1 will disable all other camera applications on your device until you revert the build.prop changes. We don't know why yet, but the symptoms are that the preview of other camera apps never start and always show black.
Future Action
Hopefully we aren't done. It would be great to find out what is limiting the full implementation of camera2 on this device. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.
contributors
@defcomg - He made most of the device specific edits, guided me through making edits to my device and testing, figured out how to correctly encode the dng, and is generally awesome. He also doesn't own this device and is helping out of the goodness of his heart. Also figured out the tasker stuff.
@troopii - Main developer of FreeDCam. He made the app and also made some important edits to get this working.
I just tested and wrote the thread so all of you could benefit from their labors. They get all the credit.
Go, have fun modifying your device. Hopefully some devs will want to get involved and get real camera2 support for this device. It's almost there. For details on our progress so far, read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...ra-comparison-stock-vs-3rd-party-app-t3215603. We hijacked that thread, so please bring all discussion back here.

Haha I called it! lol defcomg and other devs cracked it open! Only bugs left to fix. You guys rock!
What about Geeky Dev Studio? Wonder if its possible to port the Google Camera over with the HDR+!
Oh also, does anyone know of any app that can sample the images down to less mp but end up with insanely crisp photos?

Unfortunately Xplay is using the Older QCOM HAL 2 for camera 2 api you need HAL 3.0.
but you can try freedcam in Camera 1 Mode i added QCOM's Manual Focus and Manual Exosure time. Raw picture is possible without camera 2 but motorola removed it from picture format perhaps they is a workaround to force hal to accept the bayer picture format will try hexxing the hal later and get back to you, but for the moment you can test those manaul functions .

bummer.....lets see if the workaround works.....
thanks btw!
i will later change the manual modes that they are better useable in freedcam. that means that exposuretime iso and mf get a auto value wich enables/disables ae/focus automatical.
camera2 is full based on the sdk description thats why it is not very userfriendly. but it was important to have it this way to see how it works.
great to see its working ;D

motox has a messed up dngconverter. we did use the one from freedcam for camera1 to workaround that bug.
not sure why the preview is black. maybe it has something todo how the preview gets cropped. freedcam crop it depending on the previewsize and screensize.
had simliar problem when i tryed to get zoom working on nexus5
Awesome guys! Thank you very much!
Its working on my XT1572
Keep up your great work to make it available in all Apps.

I believe the max we have enabled in the app is 1/5 of a second. The theoretical max is more, I think, so it will probably get better.

[Completed] Google Camera Bug

Since I've been using using Google camera as my default camera app I've noticed that when taking selfies it brings a mirror effect to the photo taken. I compared this with my sister's iphone and I noticed that problem! I see no option for reversing that effect, is there any alternative?
