Hi,
We are students in computer science, and need some help from jailbreak/root users on our course project. We are conducting an attitude study towards the users' understanding of jailbreak/root process. This study is about 15min long online survey. We used a google form. All participations are anonymous. You don't need to provide your personal information, just a few questions about jailbreak/root experience. Your answers would only be used for academic purpose.
Your participation is strongly appreciated!
Heres the link to the survey (google form):

Many thanks!
thread cleaned, and closed, reading what I have cleaned reflects nothing more than post count building.
Contribute with genuine information, or don't post at all. Thanks!

First let me say Moderators, I could not find where requests for programming work to be done was prohibited, if it is, please delete this thread.
2nd - If you need to move this thread, please feel free to do so.
I have written a custom web application for a specific business, that allows schedule tracking of jobs, allow comments to flow between staff members and clients, and pictures to be uploaded.
This application is just starting to take off, but I am getting a huge request for dedicated applications for the mobile devices. (WM, Blackberry, Palm).
I am a web developer and know nothing about programming for the devices, so I am needing to find someone with great knowledge of this type of work, and can knock out the project in a timely manner, and be able to provide support and upgrades as I under the web application.
I will be looking to roll out one application at a time, and go from there. If you would interested in this project please PM me with some form of contact info.
I will be requiring all source code be provided and you must speak perfect english, as this can effect the output of the application
Hello everyone,
I just wanted to announce a work-in-progress that I'm working on to capture information from the forums at xda and tegratabs. I'm trying to get information into an easily searched location so that if anyone needs to find out something, they can do a direct search and locate it quickly. My goal is to go through the monster threads and cull the good info and organize it in a manner that allows for the average user to find what they need quickly.
The url is http://tegratab.wikidot.com. All are welcome to help edit the site although I do ask that you email me for format, template, etc.
I am not trying to take away any discussion from xda or tegratab.com. I just want to develop a place that makes it easy for the newcomer (and vet alike) to find info as quickly as possible.
This will not incur extra work for the awesome mod builders, developers, etc. You guys keep on posting in the forums; we'll capture the info and make it searchable.
I make no money from this nor will I accept money for this. The site is free; no renumeration is necessary.
Thanks,
EJ

Hello everybody,
so I have to do a research for my studies (theme I chose is "Piracy in Android makes developers turn to iOS). I have prepared a quick questionnaire. It's both for a casual android user as well as for a hardcore developer. I need both views, from a user and from a developer point of view. It would be very helpful if some of you guys answered this survey. BIG THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. Please spread this questionnaire between developers. If you have some friends who are developing for any mobile platform please ask them to answer this. It will only take a few minutes and it would be very helpful as I have a feeling that I will not gather enough data about the devs pov on the issue. Thank you.
Survey: bit.ly/T9MbrV (Sorry I can't post links yet )
Please answer this survey. I really need your view on the issue of piracy.
Survey. Still need your opinion. Thanks button will be pressed for those who answer
Hello!
Our team of researchers is interested in studying communities that support the creation of alternative software for mobile phones (i.e. CyanogenMod and others). We are interested in this topic, since we believe that users and developers in these communities help to make mobile devices more sustainabile.
We need your help. We are we are now preparing the questionnaire and seeking volunteers, who would like to participate in the pilot study, while being connected with the moderator using skype/hangouts/phone to be able to discuss their impressions and thought on the questions.
The time needed for this will be about 15-20 minutes. If you would like to help, please drop me a private message so we could schedule the time convenient for you.
Thank you very much

Hello,
we are a group of researchers in the Software Testing and Specification Lab at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte in Brazil and we are interested in understanding the best practices applied and difficulties faced when developing exception handling code for Android apps. To inform our understanding, it would be great if you could fill out the following survey:
Link: docs.google.com/forms/d/1LEFxScbC0LcZvTWdLOOzEsTlAk004U1JHTonkzYFHyA/viewform
The survey should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. We are interested in your experience and your point of view. Your willingness to complete the survey in its entirety will be greatly appreciated. All responses to this survey will be used for academic research purposes only and are completely confidential.
Thanks in advance for your feedback and we ask for your cooperation in spreading this survey to others Android developers.
If you have questions about the survey, please send an email to: [email protected]
Thanks,
Software Testing and Specification Lab
