Hi guys, I accidentally uninstalled Samsung Apps from my note pro and now it's missing in the Apps window, how do I recover it? Thanks for helping.

If a factory reset doesn't bring them back then you may have to use Odin to flash a factory image. Either way the price you will pay for your mistake is losing all of your custom apps and settings. This is why one should freeze first and test for a few days before uninstalling permanently.

hi my friend have Samsung galaxy y recently rooted only rooted no custom Rom he uses stock Roms now he gets so much hangs so he decided factory reset it. i want to know is it safe or he will brick it?? please help we both are noobs

With the information provided i think it is unlikely that you will brick the device by factory reseting it.
thanks.. here someone said me that never factory reset a rooted phone running on custom Rom.. so i little afraid but mine friends one is still on custom Rom so is it safe right?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA App
Maybe if the custom rom was using somekind of partition , but generally i would say reseting a custom rom won't brick a device.
Reseting a custom rom does not restore the factory rom, but reset the custom rom to its install state.
Its virtually im possible to really BRICK (a real BRICK is something that needs a JTAG device in order to get it working again) a device by reseting it, the worst case scenario is that you have to reflash the rom.
but i have stock Rom so what happened if i factory reset? what i will get after reset a rooted phone or unrooted phone? please help

The device should still remain rooted since the su binary was placed in the system area which factory resetting does not affect (you will just have to re-install the Superuser app). See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17348395&postcount=2.
thanks
so in other words you mean we should not to play with system file right?

by d way where is thanks button? i don't see it in my official app
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA App
Sadly its not in the free version of the xda app.
i have other query! in our unrooted phone apps can't access root.
so if i root it so it is possible that after rooting i make my phone more damageble by malware coz now they can change my system setting also!
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA App
is somebody there for help???
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA App
Theoreticly yes, but the SuperUser app is there to prevent that.
thanks if any malware crashes my system than what should i do? factory reset or anything else?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA App
Safest would be to flash new ROM / same ROM again.

You could say so, but you have control over what gets root access and what doesn't. Apps can only use root access if you allow it (you have to grant it Superuser permission).
can someone answer my last question?

Attempt Reset then PM Me for help if needed
I did a search but I didn't find it, I could have missed it so I'm sorry in advance. I just want to be rid of the triangle update notification. Any help would be great. Thank you.

Settings>Applications>Manage application>All>DMClient>Clear data
Then if you are rooted you can freeze dmclient with titanium backup or just switch to a custom Rom

Thanks for asking this, I wanted to do the same as I just rooted and it was trying to update already.
Titanium Backup does not have the freeze feature on the free version.
I ended up using an App called Root Uninstaller

If you also stop the application here then it will never run again (also after reboot).
But when you want it back just use the check update under about tablet.
Worked on mine TF.
You then don't need Titanium Backup for this.
Is there anyway to install whats app on a N8010 I've just got mine today and am not really convinced it worth keeping and getting rid of my galaxy 10.1 3g version
What i did was back up my whatsapp from my phone with titanium backup and then restore that back up on my note 10.1. Works fine that way. Only problem is it can only run on one device at a time.

ok Thanks ill go and have a look now to see whats the best way of doing that
Ok done this now how do i back it up from one device and restore it on another
Back it up on your galaxy tab 10.1. It'll store the backup on sd in folder called titanium backup. Copy to folder to your computer transfer it to your note then download titanium backup app and restore it

done that mate and get the same error saying "we cant identify your device. Please turn of your phone, take out battery, restart it try and note: tabets are note currenty supported"
Sorted Thanks
I don't use this app, but can't you just pull the apk from /data/app transfer to Note and install?

Sorted it now with Titanium backup. You cant just install it as you get a error message popping up
Here you go
I downloaded the latest one and works fine without rooting or anything.

Anybody mind explaining more how to overcome that error? I installed the multitask signed version of whatsapp, then did the titanium backup restore.
Ok, the multiwindow version wouldnt do it, but the regular version worked fine.

For the WiFi only version I found this link and it worked! Without root. The credit is not mine.

Please help me.
I used market enabler and it changed my playstore from uk to usa but don't know how to change it back again, even when I tried with samsung apps that had been changed to usa too.
I'd rather have a better way than factory resetting as I don't want to go through the hassle of rooting again.

Doing a factory reset shouldn't loose root... Unless you re-flash stock using ODIN...

Will it put it back to uk playstore?
I'll give it a try as can't have usa cause my apps don't show up.
Used to doing factory resets then flashing back stock roms after trying roms on my s3 and losing root.
Edit: Factory reset worked
Not trying that again

Hi guys please assist me. I have done a lot of searching here but it's all very confusing.
I currently have a note 10.1 rooted and I'm going to get the note 4 soon not rooted. How am I able to move all my apps and data and games from note 10.1 to the note 4?
I tried helium to backup but it doesn't backup all the apps. I get a message to contact the developer of the app.
Am I at risk of messing up the note 4 seeing that it won't be rooted?
Is there a better option to do this?

Afaik I know helium must have root to backup some files. How it is with data I don't know

Don't think you can restore the apps moved that way. You can reinstall them and should not have to pay again.
You might be able to move some of the data once the apps are reinstalled.
