Change play store back to uk? - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Please help me.
I used market enabler and it changed my playstore from uk to usa but don't know how to change it back again, even when I tried with samsung apps that had been changed to usa too.
I'd rather have a better way than factory resetting as I don't want to go through the hassle of rooting again.

Doing a factory reset shouldn't loose root... Unless you re-flash stock using ODIN...

Will it put it back to uk playstore?
I'll give it a try as can't have usa cause my apps don't show up.
Used to doing factory resets then flashing back stock roms after trying roms on my s3 and losing root.
Edit: Factory reset worked
Not trying that again

to factory reset rooted Samsung galaxy y running on stock Rom

hi my friend have Samsung galaxy y recently rooted only rooted no custom Rom he uses stock Roms now he gets so much hangs so he decided factory reset it. i want to know is it safe or he will brick it?? please help we both are noobs

With the information provided i think it is unlikely that you will brick the device by factory reseting it.
thanks.. here someone said me that never factory reset a rooted phone running on custom Rom.. so i little afraid but mine friends one is still on custom Rom so is it safe right?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA App
Maybe if the custom rom was using somekind of partition , but generally i would say reseting a custom rom won't brick a device.
Reseting a custom rom does not restore the factory rom, but reset the custom rom to its install state.
Its virtually im possible to really BRICK (a real BRICK is something that needs a JTAG device in order to get it working again) a device by reseting it, the worst case scenario is that you have to reflash the rom.
but i have stock Rom so what happened if i factory reset? what i will get after reset a rooted phone or unrooted phone? please help

The device should still remain rooted since the su binary was placed in the system area which factory resetting does not affect (you will just have to re-install the Superuser app). See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17348395&postcount=2.
thanks
so in other words you mean we should not to play with system file right?

by d way where is thanks button? i don't see it in my official app
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA App
Sadly its not in the free version of the xda app.
i have other query! in our unrooted phone apps can't access root.
so if i root it so it is possible that after rooting i make my phone more damageble by malware coz now they can change my system setting also!
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA App
is somebody there for help???
Sent from my GT-S5360 using XDA App
Theoreticly yes, but the SuperUser app is there to prevent that.
thanks if any malware crashes my system than what should i do? factory reset or anything else?

You could say so, but you have control over what gets root access and what doesn't. Apps can only use root access if you allow it (you have to grant it Superuser permission).
can someone answer my last question?

Google Talk authentication failed

I upgraded to the new att gingerbread update and I keep getting a Google Talk authentication failed notice and an error -101 in the market, help?

I think this problem happens when you don't clear the user data in CWM. I had this problem after unbricking my phone. Of course, that's a rom, if you used the factory update maybe a factory reset would do the same thing.
Do I have to factory reset through CWM then? Or just through the phones settings?

Either. If you're on stock settings. You can also boot into a CWM like Sammy mode and do it from there. They should both work.
If you're on a rom, you should do that anyway when you flash a new one.

Stuck on ics update

So. I can't finish the instalation of the ics rom. I did the wipe before flashing it. But I get stuck at the android logo on first boot.
I've tried flashing 3 times already.
Any suggestions?

Try n redownload file
Then reflash. Don't forget to factory reset as well.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
I was afraid of that. My connection went down and I resumed it later.
I'll redownload it later. Thanks for the suggestion anyway

yeah... bad downloads actually do happen now n then.. lets hope thats all it is.
Has anybody been able to solve this? Did factory reset work for you?
So. I've finally managed to get ics working. But I have the slow performance and force closes problem. even after wiping everything.
I'm going flash it again and see what happens

Nop. I had to redownload the rom, just to get it installed. But as I stated in the above post I still have some problems.

Ok. Factory reset before AND after flashing the rom. Now apparently all my problems are gone
Sent from my GT-I9001 using XDA App

Google apps stopped to connect to the network on stock roms.

For a long time I used cm10/cm10.1 roms
but since the tablet quickly discharged, I decided to return on a stock android 4.0.4 firmware
Google services initially worked fine, but after a few days of each application (google play, youtube, docs, drive, browser, chrome and more) have to write "no connection."
Other applications work fine.
Anyone else encountered this problem? how to solve it? wipe all data / dalvik / cache does not work.
Have you tried the obvious, and you probably don't want to hear......
1. a) Factory reset
and or
b) Reflash ROM ?
2. Setup accounts without restoring anything.
3. Check again

Resetting rooted g2x

I have a rooted g2x and I wanted to sell it on ebay. No roms are installed and I want to factor reset it. Can I just do this through the regular menus or is there anything else I need to consider?
If you go into settings and factory reset it, it should get rid of root.

Can't you use NvFlash to return the device to factory condition?
-custom sig.

Too much of a hassle, especially if it's only using stock rom that's rooted with like oneclick rooting method.

Root won't go by this method but who cares anyway.

The g2x did not get ics update due to a sensitive teeth problem!
