I wonder how these crap touches pass the QC test !

A costum ROM/kernel can make a bit of difference. But compared to, for example, an iPhone the quality of the touchscreen is pretty sad. But then again, the phone is 1/2 of the costs of an iPhone.
I removed my screenprotector, this helped a bit.

I dunno, but I'm pretty satisfied with the sensitivity of my XL. My father's iPhone 5C has a very good sensitivity, but my XL is good enough. It does have the multitouch problem, which is sad for me since I play a lot of games and most use the multitouch functionality. I don't have any screen protectors on, nor was there an anti-shatter proof film though I think all XL did not have any ASF out of the box. I guess it's because it's an ODM phone, QC is different.

Xperia J Review & Discussion

Hello,
I know that in many thread sections, users have a review thread. I have not seen one for the Xperia J yet. Are there any Xperia J users that would like to mention what they like and dislike about their phone?
I notice the battery is huge, I wonder do users get a couple of days use before having to charge again? I've heard about a lag on the phone, do people find this? Also, I read that the audio is not brilliant, any ivews? :fingers-crossed:
Ok...
Battery 2-3 days
Audio speaker it's powerfull, with good bass
Keyboard very laggy, exchanged with SwiftKey
Even dialing a number I've counted some lags, exchanged with Dialer
Camera it's poor in low light conditions, very good outside in sunny landscapes
Evidently nice design
And a final aspect, at this price range its a bargain.
If you want a clean and sharp screen, hd, no lags, a perfect camera, go for a flagship xperia.
Sorry for my English.. I'm from Romania
Sent from my ST26i using Tapatalk 2
Thanks friend, that's good to know. :good: And you're English is very good!
as for me, my xperia J's battery last 3 1/2 (just doing some texting/calling and very minimal internet)..so far I haven't experienced prob with my stock keyboard, got some few lags when I'm using the cosmic flow live wallpaper, and also got some prob with that timescape widget, it doesn't update even tho I've already set it up to be on automatic...so far I'm happy with my xperia J but when the xperia Z comes out next year I'll probably by that one instead of the V
Thanks for the input!
I notice that there are some more expensive Xperia phones with higher screen resolutions - but the batteries of those phones die very quickly, even if the capacity is more e.g. 1900mha etc. It's a good thing that this (very good) resolution was used in the phone, I think.
Can someone please suggest me, should i buy this phone or Samsung Ace Plus coz the price and spec not so much different.. Thanks

Yeah i know so many people said this XJ was a Laggy Phone, but so far i'm excited with this XJ. Good in design and it was built in Corning Gorilla Glass !! I use this phone for daily activity and office so i'm good so far until the JB is relase. I love my XJ with all weakness. Even when they are leaving you one day later

iI got my xj a week ago but had to send it off to sony because of sd reader problem. but the 3 days i had it i was impressed with it evan though its a single core its a good one better than my ray gta3 game was realy laggy on my ray but on my xj its really smooth. had a few lags but v6 supper charger & kak Script soon sorted that out if people are having lag problems i sugest they try these scripts plus it gives 3g tweaks wich is an added bonus. so over all im pleased with it just cant wait for more roms and mods to be released
J is really beautiful phone.
In fact most beautiful phone in the world....

This phone is the wife's choice, not mine, after all she got it as a replacement for a lost ST15i Smultron. I just like the model name (JLo); phone's got a curvy back simulating J Lo's butt!

XJ an awesome phone with superb media capabilities..the device does lag pretty often but its ok for the price u pay n what u get for it..the screen is great and the audio impeccable..id advise using ur own earphones tho..sounds lovely with ma skullcandies n sennheisers..video playback is great but id recommend a 3rd party player like moboplayer..gives u more codec support..not really the phone for heavy gamers.of late even temple run has started to lag..gonna root this device n toss in a custom rom soon..as soon as I get my hands on older firmware..new firmware cant be rooted I hear

one of the members here already released a root for our phone guys, thought you might check it out
Bought the j for my wife , long Battery was the biggest requirement and yes it certainly meets this requirement she gets 3 days out of it
It is a little laggy to me but I've got a note 2 is like comparing a porsche with a ford fiesta
My wife is very happy with it and I only pay £13 pm on 3 and get loads of allowance so I'm happy and so is my wife
If your after a b9g standard android phone with no bells and whistles this phone is for you

I'd go with the One S. The sound quality is fantastic in headphones and the camera blows every other camera out of the water, in features AND quality. Battery lasts a solid 16 to 20 hours on a usual (medium to heavy use) day with a few hours being used up on standby for school and such. It's a great phone. I would recommend getting a case for it though. It's very thing and quite slippery at times. Easy to drop.
Darn deal felt through now have to look for another one but also wondering can the whole back cover be changed for another color lets say ?

it's a good phone price quality wise but from a custom rom perspective we have to be honest, it's not the most active community. i honestly doubt that there will ever a full supported cyanogenmod. in the meantime you can delete all bloat and spyware manually if your device is moonshelled and rooted

Resolotion isnt enough in my opinion

The screen is absolutely ok (for me). But of course, when you see a phone with better resolution besides you see the difference. But this is a reason for the cheaper price.
Don't know, if you have a chance in your country to take a look at it before?
Yes here its possible to test and work with all devices before buy..but i thought it may be better to ask from owners..

Yes, its really good for this resolution.
And it has a good enough brightness to be visible under sunlight.
Especialy after antiglare screen protector attached - I've used this smartphone as navigator in the car this summer without any trouble.

What I love about the Note 3

So since there's a lot of negativity on the forum I thought we should have a thread on what we love about the Note 3.
So I love the new SPen, I love how snappy it feels and apps just open instantly, and I love the new SPen functionality.

l had two issues with my beloved Note II. One was the relatively low ppi for such a big screen, and the other was the handling of the device in my hand. Note III for me is simply amazing in every single aspect.
Is the N3 bigger then the N2 or same size??
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using xda app-developers app
On papers it's a but narrower and thinner and it's taller by 1 mm only. However, it feels bigger in my hand (my opinion) and more difficult to handle. I guess because the angles are not curved as they used to be on note2.
And also because the screen is bigger, it gives you feeling that the device is much bigger than its predecessor. I feel the note2 design is more friendly to the hands. That's my only negative thought I have against the note2. Otherwise, the device is amazing. Silky smooth, great camera, battery will last a full day no matter how much you use it, S pen improvement....etc

It is slightly taller, a little less wide and thick
It comes with an easy open ASP?
That's a great way to fend off would be phone thieves... Include a retractable police baton.
How are you guys liking the magazine feature and new Gallery?
For me the fact that is a tad narrower and the back is not glossy which slips from my hands but this leather-feel plastic, makes the grip much more easy. This is what I have read in the articles and what I found out myself using it. Still u can't use the device with one hand w/o the one hand operation, but it feels so much safer in my hands and easier to handle.
I forgot to mention the amazing 4k video. It's simply stunning and my Dell U2713 for once is put to shame!
I simply don't care about the cam so much, with which I found out, where it matters, (in the low light that is) it's nothing sort of great.
But overall Note III seems like a faster, better, well polished version of Note II with bleeding edge tech. What else can someone ask? Seriously..
Amazing Phone
The screen of the Galaxy Note 3 is amazing, also the battery life. Its just Wow. And ofcourse the S pen is alot better, coming from note 2 & galaxy s4. Its very fast switching apps and stuff, didnt saw any stutter (Now I have this phone 2 days). I flashed Stock rom from sammobile. overal great Phone really liking it. Also the gaming experince is awesome on this screen.:victory::victory:
The more I use this the more little hidden gems I find like the ability to resize the screen and launch an app from voice command on lockscreen

wanna buy this phone, but these issues confuse me

i wanna buy this phone, but after reading many comments and opinions, am a little confused due to these issues :
1-touch screen sensitivity and multitouch performance
2-call quality; unnatural voices on both ends and average volume in earpiece
3-camera performance in general and especially video recording; low quality and distorted sound(i have seen samples)
4-many firmware bugs like screen tearing, flickering, youtube pixelation and audio coming out of earpiece instead of rear speaker and many other(i know there is an update coming but dunno if it will fix all bugs)
so what do u think guys? what is the truth about those issues and should i buy this phone or not? and could u plz suggest the best alternative in this price range ?
thanksssss
Same. I really REALLY want to buy this since it has great specs for a midrange/low phone. But I heard very mixed reviews on it.

1. I've been on 4.1, 4.2 & 4.4 and I don't have problems with this.
2. I don't call that much but I have also no problems with this.
3. The stock camera app on 4.2 is sh*t, I'm using Camera ZOOM FX and it works perfect.
4. Yeah there are a few bugs on 4.2, removing the pre installed bloatware helps.
Most of these problems are firmware related. Sony has released AOSP binaries last week and we already have AOSP, OMNI, AOSPA and soon CM. So most of the firmware problems will be patched in these third-party roms.

Did you post something similar on the Sony Mobile forums, if so I guess this is your post.
Just refer to my answer, I am an everyday user running the stock firmware, no custom mods or anything, so you won't get a more honest opinion than this.
Good/better alternative? Forget the Galaxy Ace's I said, go for the Moto G, you will not get a better phone at this price bracket + it runs AOSP android so little/no bugs.
its a gud phone for everyday use and i don't have much problems with this phone it got a gud camera and lagless ui
best for gaming....

The moto g seems like a good phone but no microsd card slot.... that's what ruins it for me. I prefer to have that. Not including is a big turn off for me. I plan on buying this phone through amazon for 219 dollars. I don't plan on rooting this phone if I buy it.

The processor is not great but it's mid-range
Go for the Xperia SL, or the higher "nxt" series
Gaming is mediocre not that good since the display sucks too
