it's a good phone price quality wise but from a custom rom perspective we have to be honest, it's not the most active community. i honestly doubt that there will ever a full supported cyanogenmod. in the meantime you can delete all bloat and spyware manually if your device is moonshelled and rooted

How is the screen qiuality? 480 * 800 with a 4.3" screen :-O

Yes size is good but the quality?
Resolotion isnt enough in my opinion
Sent from my GT-S5660 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

For me, the quality is good. Better wait on someone else's feedback too

The screen is absolutely ok (for me). But of course, when you see a phone with better resolution besides you see the difference. But this is a reason for the cheaper price.
Don't know, if you have a chance in your country to take a look at it before?

Yes here its possible to test and work with all devices before buy..but i thought it may be better to ask from owners..
Sent from my GT-S5660 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

For me screen is totally satsfying. In comparison with other smartphones in this range its one of the best.
Sent from my HTC One SV using Tapatalk 4 Beta

Yes, its really good for this resolution.

And it has a good enough brightness to be visible under sunlight.
Especialy after antiglare screen protector attached - I've used this smartphone as navigator in the car this summer without any trouble.

But I think overall, for the average consumer, iPhone is better.

New to skyrocket

I'm gonna trade my galaxy note for a skyrocket plus cash of course... And had a few questions about the skyrocket....
-Is the screen resolution 720p like the note
-Does it have good GPS like the note (Russian satellite)
-Is the galaxy S2 skyrocket the same as the galaxy S2 skyrocket HD?
-WHATS THE PROS AND CONS OF THIS DEVICE
I did a trade plus 250$ cash is that a good deal?

again see point 3, all depends what ur looking for. My only con is battery life. I get 24 on with 4 screen time... but then again I'll never be satisfied until I get limitless battery, so for the amount of power and speed this device gives u, I'll take it

[SUGGEST] Buying my first Android!

Hello everybody,
I will buying my first android very soon and my budget is of INR 25,000 = 451.811 USD = 358.611 EUR
The prices are to be considered for unlocked devices.
Requirements:-
I would prefer ICS on it. It won't matter wether it comes preloaded or an update would be available afterwards.
It should have a front facing camera as now it is a requirement for me.
If possible suggest dual core smartphones.
The back camera should be minimum of 5 Mega-pixel with flash.
I would also prefer such phones which have developer community support.
It is preferable to have phones of Sony, HTC or Samsung as I don't trust other companies much.
My List:-
Sony Xperia P
I have heard it is a good phone but it's battery life may be shorter & I have also heard that due to the new white pixel techonlogy of Sony battery life is not a big problem as it consumes less power.
HTC Sensation
It is great phone but it was released last year and I have heard so may issues relating to it such as Death grip, unresponsive touch screen, poor battery life, improper viewing angles.
Suggestions are welcome but please see to it that it meets my list of requirements.

Sorry mate.
Post updated. Actually I use currency converter plugin that caused the problem while posting.
If that's the Indian rupee, $448 can get you a SGS3 if only it were available in India.. there's always buying it somewhere online and having it shipped to your country as an option.
If not, there's the Galaxy Nexus that I would recommend second.
I'd never recommend an HTC, due to in part that sense is nonsense. What's the point of going to a dev community with a sense phone if the #1 motif will be REMOVING Sense? Lol. I'd avoid HTC altogether. The beats by dre sound is a joke, just overpowered bass. Get Samsung, then combine it with voodoo sound.
Don't make the mistake of getting an SGSII though.

Looks: HTC One
Speakers (Audio): HTC One
Everything else: Galaxy S IV
The Verge reviewed the HTC One and said it has a mediocre camera (they have test shots), mediocre battery life (and no removable battery), and not much going for it aside from its look and feel.
And no, a 4 MP "Ultrapixel" camera is still a 4 MP camera. It doesn't magically multiply the pixels. All it results in is better lighting because it can process 3 times more light than a normal camera. They would have been better off even putting a "Normal-Pixel" 5 MP camera.

While that is probably a quite accurate comparison, its still based on rumour and speculation. And the differences in spec as you look down the page are mostly negligible.
Its going to be a split room based on personal requirements, and its only going to be things like build quality/battery/sd slot/onboard software etc. which will push most people one way or another.
I'm going to wait for the SGSIV release with an open mind... work with some real facts and figures, and get some hands-on when they are both in the shops together.

Rooting always depends on the device developers.
If there are good developers,
They create one click root,
If they are average they create root access in patched which makes it tough to root.
Sry no offence to developrs.

See the facts samsung let my note taste 3 major android flavors. I am satisfied with their software update thing.
2. Their phone quality looks cheap maybe coz i didnt feel it that way but their phones are durable. I never heard anyone cracking the plastic. Unless its a major accident.
3. Their phones outperform and have too much development.
4. Futuristic hardware and removable battery.
5. All other oems even google cheat once they sell their product and when it comes to repair. Most even dont have service centers.
6. Plenty of storage due to expandable cards. Other oem force u to use their cloud service. Plus on the go usb makes it way too better.
7. Oleds are way better than lcds which are just brighter and battery eaters.
8. No overheating and plastic has a role in it.
9. Good camera and built in editor
10. Spen if ur a note user..

Are you tied to a contract at all with your N4? The specs appear to be better on the newer phones, but you must hold strong and stay away from hype and read some good Vs. reviews. Personally I'd hold on another year to the N4 (quality, solid, well supported device) and see what next year has to offer.

I understand on personal choice but coming from iPhone I don't know to much on the background of each device... On a general opinion which device has better performance base on previous devices... That's all I'm asking... I though I have the best android but honestly my wife's GS3 looks faster and better battery than mine... But I don't like the look and color options... The new HTC looks nice but I have friends that said the previous device are bad...

I used HTC One V, X and S for a certain period of time. They all worked without any problems, except for One V, that one was feeling a bit laggy, but it's the first device in the HTC One line and has only 512mb of RAM. Anyway, I would go for the HTC One

I understand but what might be a better performer for me may be different for someone else and previous devices don't matter, now is what matters. All the reviews online will help you more, trust me. And the nexus 4, HTC One and galaxy s 4 are all fast phones so it won't even matter. What matters is if you like stock android, if you like sense or touchwiz, if you're ok with a plastic phone or if you need a premium looking phone, if you need the best performer in the camera... there are so many factors here and again we all have different opinions, even some of us are having a hard time choosing but if speed is what you're looking for than the nexus 4 is very fast I can tell you that now.
