Microphone

Today I recorded a concert for the first time with the microphone of our Galaxy R. ..
To say that the result in terms of image is spectacular, but the sound quality is terrible ...
I guess the problem would be solved by lowering the gain of the microphone, but I can't do it.
Anyone have any idea how to fix it?

Not true... Iphone mics record sound really well. I think it's to do with the design of the mic orifice. I've tested this with a few samsung phones and an iPhone.. And sadly, all our phone recordings sound bad..

Yes u right iphone have better quality mic and also not mic but earpiece, display and camera is also better.
I have 4s and comparing it to other phone, nothing can beat it (i meant in hardware quality, ofcourse ios sucks)

actually camera is uncomparable...
but again what about the so hyped screen?
i cant feel the screen as superier...
pixel density is of no use as i dont use it for reading texts without zooming web pages...(much brighter screen of galaxy r n ofcourse bigeer)
n the low volume of external speakers and again its not worth it if u buyd it unlocked...
and about ur "ios suks" thing ,its got more quality apps than ours..
but it all depends on the taste of users...
u cant mod ios exept some springboard theames which personally i dont like !!
u cant sync contacts with facebook or gmail etc...
AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING-WHY TO WASTE SO MUCH MONEY ON A DEVICE WHICH IS NOT WORTH IT,U CAN GET THOSE THINGS IN HALF OF THAT PRICE..

If iPhone is the best in hardware quality , that means the SGR has a more easily crackable screen than the iPhone .
My iPhone 4 dropped once and the LCD screen cracked .
I dropped my sister's SGR and all I got was her rage .
So if the iPhone has the best hardware , I will commit suicide .

I dnt know much about technical terms but i read in some websites that iphones ips pannel ratina display is better than super clear lcd technology

lol, you're not helping with the problem with distorted sound at all; i ran into the same problem; does anyone know how to make the distortion less noticeable with software like sony soundforge ?

I have never installed a kernel, can I install any kernel with any Android version?
I installed the SuperUser app to get administrator rights but never dared to change anything else. I know that there are a lot of tutorials in the web, but I'm Spanish and my English level is not perfect and I don't understand some words. Thanks in advance.

[SUGGEST] Buying my first Android!

Hello everybody,
I will buying my first android very soon and my budget is of INR 25,000 = 451.811 USD = 358.611 EUR
The prices are to be considered for unlocked devices.
Requirements:-
I would prefer ICS on it. It won't matter wether it comes preloaded or an update would be available afterwards.
It should have a front facing camera as now it is a requirement for me.
If possible suggest dual core smartphones.
The back camera should be minimum of 5 Mega-pixel with flash.
I would also prefer such phones which have developer community support.
It is preferable to have phones of Sony, HTC or Samsung as I don't trust other companies much.
My List:-
Sony Xperia P
I have heard it is a good phone but it's battery life may be shorter & I have also heard that due to the new white pixel techonlogy of Sony battery life is not a big problem as it consumes less power.
HTC Sensation
It is great phone but it was released last year and I have heard so may issues relating to it such as Death grip, unresponsive touch screen, poor battery life, improper viewing angles.
Suggestions are welcome but please see to it that it meets my list of requirements.

Get a Samsung Galaxy S3.

Post updated. Actually I use currency converter plugin that caused the problem while posting.

If that's the Indian rupee, $448 can get you a SGS3 if only it were available in India.. there's always buying it somewhere online and having it shipped to your country as an option.
If not, there's the Galaxy Nexus that I would recommend second.
I'd never recommend an HTC, due to in part that sense is nonsense. What's the point of going to a dev community with a sense phone if the #1 motif will be REMOVING Sense? Lol. I'd avoid HTC altogether. The beats by dre sound is a joke, just overpowered bass. Get Samsung, then combine it with voodoo sound.
Don't make the mistake of getting an SGSII though.

What about the HTC One like was suggested? From everything I've read it looks amazing (great screen, great camera). Then again, idk of that falls into the price range either.

You mean One S? In India it's available for above 25K and one V don't have secondary cam which is a requirement for me.

The phone is nice mate but I find it's screen pretty big. A tablet would rather be a better choice then.

Xperia J Review & Discussion

Hello,
I know that in many thread sections, users have a review thread. I have not seen one for the Xperia J yet. Are there any Xperia J users that would like to mention what they like and dislike about their phone?
I notice the battery is huge, I wonder do users get a couple of days use before having to charge again? I've heard about a lag on the phone, do people find this? Also, I read that the audio is not brilliant, any ivews? :fingers-crossed:

Ok...
Battery 2-3 days
Audio speaker it's powerfull, with good bass
Keyboard very laggy, exchanged with SwiftKey
Even dialing a number I've counted some lags, exchanged with Dialer
Camera it's poor in low light conditions, very good outside in sunny landscapes
Evidently nice design
And a final aspect, at this price range its a bargain.
If you want a clean and sharp screen, hd, no lags, a perfect camera, go for a flagship xperia.

as for me, my xperia J's battery last 3 1/2 (just doing some texting/calling and very minimal internet)..so far I haven't experienced prob with my stock keyboard, got some few lags when I'm using the cosmic flow live wallpaper, and also got some prob with that timescape widget, it doesn't update even tho I've already set it up to be on automatic...so far I'm happy with my xperia J but when the xperia Z comes out next year I'll probably by that one instead of the V

I notice that there are some more expensive Xperia phones with higher screen resolutions - but the batteries of those phones die very quickly, even if the capacity is more e.g. 1900mha etc. It's a good thing that this (very good) resolution was used in the phone, I think.

Yeah i know so many people said this XJ was a Laggy Phone, but so far i'm excited with this XJ. Good in design and it was built in Corning Gorilla Glass !! I use this phone for daily activity and office so i'm good so far until the JB is relase. I love my XJ with all weakness. Even when they are leaving you one day later

iI got my xj a week ago but had to send it off to sony because of sd reader problem. but the 3 days i had it i was impressed with it evan though its a single core its a good one better than my ray gta3 game was realy laggy on my ray but on my xj its really smooth. had a few lags but v6 supper charger & kak Script soon sorted that out if people are having lag problems i sugest they try these scripts plus it gives 3g tweaks wich is an added bonus. so over all im pleased with it just cant wait for more roms and mods to be released

This phone is the wife's choice, not mine, after all she got it as a replacement for a lost ST15i Smultron. I just like the model name (JLo); phone's got a curvy back simulating J Lo's butt!

XJ an awesome phone with superb media capabilities..the device does lag pretty often but its ok for the price u pay n what u get for it..the screen is great and the audio impeccable..id advise using ur own earphones tho..sounds lovely with ma skullcandies n sennheisers..video playback is great but id recommend a 3rd party player like moboplayer..gives u more codec support..not really the phone for heavy gamers.of late even temple run has started to lag..gonna root this device n toss in a custom rom soon..as soon as I get my hands on older firmware..new firmware cant be rooted I hear

Bought the j for my wife , long Battery was the biggest requirement and yes it certainly meets this requirement she gets 3 days out of it
It is a little laggy to me but I've got a note 2 is like comparing a porsche with a ford fiesta
My wife is very happy with it and I only pay £13 pm on 3 and get loads of allowance so I'm happy and so is my wife
If your after a b9g standard android phone with no bells and whistles this phone is for you

Buy it.
This device is a performance beast.
It has capabilities beyond your imagination.
The multitouch problem is just a stupid glitch.
I am making a new ROM and I hope I can fix that.
TRUST ME, its not buggy.
And 4.2.2 is butter smooth.

nexus 4. I wish I did that earlier

its a gud phone for gaming and daily use... and the camera is also good and there is a update is coming. i hope this update will fix all existing bugs.

Can you guys give feedback about ur touch feedback ???

A costum ROM/kernel can make a bit of difference. But compared to, for example, an iPhone the quality of the touchscreen is pretty sad. But then again, the phone is 1/2 of the costs of an iPhone.
I removed my screenprotector, this helped a bit.

I dunno, but I'm pretty satisfied with the sensitivity of my XL. My father's iPhone 5C has a very good sensitivity, but my XL is good enough. It does have the multitouch problem, which is sad for me since I play a lot of games and most use the multitouch functionality. I don't have any screen protectors on, nor was there an anti-shatter proof film though I think all XL did not have any ASF out of the box. I guess it's because it's an ODM phone, QC is different.
