I made this mod basically for Cloudy's ROMs, but it doesn't mean it won't work on other ones.
It modifies the LGSystemUI.apk, but you don't actually flash the whole .apk (except the Flex 2.4 mod), only the modded files, so there's a good chance it will work on many stock based ROMs!
What's new?
- Stock G3 QuickSetting icons
- Added animation to some QS toggles
- New FM Radio/Music controller icons
- Made a zip for Stock ROMs (based on D802 20D), so hopefully we won't have disappearing volume sliders, navbar button order issues anymore
Note: If you've already installed any of the previous versions of this mod, you should go back to stock - meaning you should restore the backup of your LGSystemUI.apk - before you flash this update!
Note II: Addons (themes) from 2nd post will NOT work properly anymore, so don't flash them! I'll just make new ones later.
Q: How do I install it?
A: Just download the zip for your ROM and flash it via recovery (make a nandroid backup first, better safe than sorry!).
Q: How do I go back to stock?
A: You either restore your previously backed up /system/ partition OR make a flashable zip out of your "stock" LGSystemUI.apk
Here is how you do it:
Let's say you're using CloudyFlex. First, you open CloudyFlex_2.4.zip (this is the whole ROM you've downloaded from Cloudy's thread), then extract this file: /system/priv-app/LGSystemUI.apk
Now download this sample zip. You'll see 2 folders in it: META-INF and system. Double-click system, then priv-app. Now grab your previously extracted LGSystemUI.apk, and just drag-and-drop it into the sample zip, so you will have the .apk in /system/priv-app/LGSystemUI.apk.
Your zip is now ready, you can flash it via recovery!
(don't forget that you can use adb push while you're in recovery!)
Q: Can I flash this on stock (like...really STOCK) ROM?
A: You can try flashing the D802 20d / CloudyStock version, it may be buggy though!
Download:
(d/l the one for the ROM you're using - Captain Obvious; If you're using other stock based ROMs, you should either download the one for StockROMs or the one for CloudyStock, make a backup first!)
- CloudyStock
- CloudyFlex - Now it works with ART as well, but it's not a patch; you HAVE to restore the "stock" LGSystemUI.apk, then flash this new mod, otherwise it won't fix anything! If you haven't installed previous versions of the mod, just go on and flash the zip.
- CloudyPro II
- Stock ROMs - it's an experimental version. Tested on D802 20D; will NOT work on LS/VS980 phones!
If front touch button combination/knock code doesn't work after flashing this, restore your backup.
- Xdabbeb's VS980 ROM - soon!
Tested and works on:
- CloudyFlex 2.4
- CloudyPro II 2.2
- CloudyStock 2.2
- Stock D80220d
- ???
Tested and doesn't currently work on:
- Xdabbeb's VS980 ROM
- LS/VS980 ROMs.
@ devs: If you want to use my work in any way, please PM me first.

OLD VERSIONS - Scroll back to 1st post!
The first time I saw the leaked G3 screenshots I immediately fell inlove with its simple UI, so I thought I'd try to bring it to our beloved G2.
So far, I've remade/copied the notification panel. I think it looks great. Of course, it's not exactly how the G3 will look, but I think it will be similar.
I made this mod basically for Cloudy's ROMs, but it doesn't mean it won't work on other ones.

Stock / Modded
Q: How do I install it?
A: Just download the zip for your ROM and flash it via recovery (make a nandroid backup first, better safe than sorry!).
Q: How do I go back to stock?
A: You either restore your previously backed up /system/ partition OR grab /system/priv-app/LGSystemUI.apk AND .odex files from your ROM's .zip and make a flashable one out of it. I've uploaded a backup .zip for each of Cloudy's most recent ROMs, you can download them from here.
Q: Can I flash this on stock (like...really STOCK) ROM?
A: Good question, I haven't been on stock ROMs for ages, so I couldn't test it myself, but I see no reason why you shouldn't give it a try.
Make a nandroid, then flash the mod for Stock based ROMs.
Q: Can you make the app icons flat?
A: I'm pretty sure there are people working on a G3-like theme, so I won't waste my time on it.
Download:
- Stock-based ROMs (d/l this one if you want to flash this on stock ROM, but once again, it might will NOT work, so backup backup backup!)
- Flex-based ROMs
- GPro 2-based ROMs
If you can't change the navbar button combination after flashing the mod, flash this little patch, it should fix the problem. (the title says it's for the D802, but it should work on different modells as well)
Changelog:
Xposed module
- P_Toti is trying to include this mod in his next release of G2 TweaksBox, so I'm not going to update this anymore, because hopefully it will work on every variant without any issues.
V1.1
- ART support*
- Changed brightness/volume slider color
*LGSystemUI won't crash now if you switch to ART, but you NEED to restore your .odex file that V1.0 previously deleted! So you either restore your backup (you made one, right?) OR if you're on a recent Cloudy ROM, download one of these flashable zips for your ROM OR restore them manually: you can find LGSystemUI.apk and .odex files in your downloaded ROM's .zip in /system/priv-app/ OR dirty flash your ROM (I guess).
Even if you don't need ART, please, restore your files for your own good!
If you haven't flashed 1.0 before, then you don't have to do anything, just flash 1.1.
V1.0
- First release
Tested and works on:
- CloudyStock 2.0, 2.1
- CloudyFlex 2.1, 2.2
- CloudyPro II 2.0, 2.1
- Pardus 6.1
- Stock D80220a/d
- Stock D80520a
- Stock F320k
- OptimusRs Pro 2 Rom
- ???
Tested and doesn't currently work on:
It's not working on my G2 F320 using Vietnam Mod Rom

- Xdabbeb's VS980 ROM
- LS/VS980 ROMs.
Reserved this post for upcoming stuff.

It isn't? That's good to know! Thanks. It's strange though as I've only changed a few png's and xmls, nothing too drastic.
edit: I switched to ART, now I see what you're talking about. I'm sorry it screwed up your phone!

Ouch, now that looks really flat!
If you disable G2 Xposed; is it normal, like in the screenshot I posted in the OP?
I wonder why your settings button looks like that in the header.

Works fantastic. Thank you tons. Subscribed to thread!

Kickoff's QuickSettings Mod
This thread has been separated from Hid3rs thread where I posted my mods first.
HTC Sense 5 style quick settings panel.
Hid3rs' beautiful work brought me to the idea to develop something similar with the look of other device theming (HTC, Samsung maybe later). Since I liked the HTC horizontal EQS icons (Sense 5) very much I started to learn the structure of the LGSystemUI.apk and several theming methods. I have to note that I am a beginner in terms of theming, but the result of my first project seems to be fine... If an experienced coder could help me to get the full panel including HTC stock background pngs, I would be very grateful.
First of all I have to thank to Hid3rs who helped me a lot. The base of this mod was his work.
The HTC icons come from several source, they are mainly stock. Some of them was edited by Basil. Many thanks for his permission. The missing LG icons and animations have been made by me.

Thanks to manuelmagix here is a version without resources that should work with stock based ROMs like the MagixROM.
Redesigned icons and animations for G3 ROMs.

Flashable stock SystemUI from CloudyG3 1.1
NEW!
G3 Colorful Notification Panel .
I have prepared a slightly modified notification panel for CloudyG3 1.1. The icons are stock but colorized. Works on CloudyG3 1.2 as well.
Download
New version with bigger (168x168) icons (looks really cool!) [07.07.14]
Download
Installation
Simply flash the *.zip in your recovery. In case of CloudyFlex and the G3 versions it will flash a new LGSystemui.apk, the other versions only modify it partly.
Please make a nandroid backup first and keep Hid3rs' corresponding version on your SDCard for emergency cases. Or follow his description how to install the stock SystemUI back.
Enjoy! Your feedback is very appreciated.
@devs: if you want to use this please PM me first. Thx.
Thanks very much looks great!

I am using Energy rom, it is JB, went ahead and flashed anyway and can confirm that it doesn't work for this rom, but when I do finally move over to a KK rom I will try again, definitely like the colored icons, need more colored icon themes like this, as for AOSP and basic Android menus, they need colored icons as well.
Thanks.

CREDITS TO ICON CREATORS!!! THANKS!!
PS: If you did create the icons and don't want them released in this MOD please let me know.
WORKS WITH CLOUDY G2 2.2
I said DEODEXED, and I repeat it. I don't know if this works on ODEX ROM, but it should (now you flash entire apks, not just patch them). Let me know if it does, only test after full nandroid backup.

- LS980: seems to create an nfc error
Please let me know if you test on other configurations, including odex ROM.
I have serious doubts it would work on verizon phones, depends on how Cloudy G3 works on those.
3minit battery mod for Cloudy G3:

credits @vPro97
NOTE on 3minit MOD: if you want 3minit MOD, then first install that, if you apply 3minit AFTER applying my MOD you will lose some aspects of it.
Notes:
- Battery icon in screenshots is from 3minit
- Most icons are Cobalt. I also used some status bar icons from Gigamatrix (either because they are nicer or Cobalt was not themed), etc.
- The status bar icons have been resized from G3 to fit, others have not, and I like the very large quicksettings icons!
- T-action is not themed, i Just replaced the blue button with something that doesn't clash as much.
- some UI icons in settings might no be themed in "tab mode"
Instructions:
1. Either make a full nandroid backup (recommended if you are testing on an ODEX ROM), or follow these instructions for creating a quick flashable recovery file.
Backup the following files with ZIPme: (Make sure you backup the odex files too if you are testing this on an odex ROM!
system/app/LGEasySettings.apk & LGNfc.apk
system/framwork/framework-res.apk & lge-res.apk
system/priv-app/LGContacts.apk & LGInCallUI.apk & LGSettings.apk & LGSystemUI.apk
2. Download flashable zips (see Download section below)
4. Reboot to recovery
5a. If you DON'T have E 3minit: Flash "Flash-CloudyG3-Cobalt-Theme-FULL files.zip" first, if you want the light blue clock on the left then also flash "Flash-CloudyG3-ClockBlueLeft-stock.zip" second (this last flashable zip is only a patch to LGSystemUI.apk, it might not work for ODEX ROMs).
5b. If you HAVE 3minit: Flash "Flash-CloudyG3-Cobalt-3minit-FULL files.zip" first, if you want the light blue clock on the left then also flash "Flash-CloudyG3-ClockBlueLeft-3minit.zip" second (this last flashable zip is only a patch to LGSystemUI.apk, it might not work for ODEX ROMs).
6. Reboot to system
Downloads:
Flash-CloudyG3-Cobalt-Theme-FULL files.zip
Flash-CloudyG3-Cobalt-3minit-FULL files.zip
Flash-CloudyG3-ClockBlueLeft-3minit.zip
Flash-CloudyG3-ClockBlueLeft-stock.zip
Restore:

By experience, this should also work on ODEX roms. Great job mate, that's a wonderful contribution.

Thanks, trying to catch up with you.
But this flashable ZIP only contains replacement image files and patches the apks, so not sure if it would work on Odex.

Oh! I think the best you can do (if it doesn't work for ODEX) is to provide a LGsystemui.apk that's already Deodexed and contains your changes. People will end up with a Deodexed systemui but if it's zipaligned they won't notice a decrease in performance at all.

Sorry to hear that.
Which model do you have?
The only thing I can think of is that your nfc.apk is different for some reason.
Option 1:
1. Boot to recovery and wipe dalvik+cache.
2. See if that works.
Option 2:
1. Revert to your original files
2. Boot to recovery and flash the non-full version:

Let me know if the problem persists.

I'm on the ls980. I just did a clean install and will try the full again and if that doesn't work I'll try the non-full version. I had xposed and other stuff installed, so I'm trying it without the other tweaks to see if that's what's causing the problem.

Ok the link you posted worked but I don't have everything themed. Battery and signal are still white and the left side of the status bar is stock also.
@bloof Is there a way you can create a full theme that takes out the nfc.apk or whatever it was that caused the nfc chaos on my ls980? I'm a huge fan of the Cobalt theme and would love to have everything themed with it. Hope I'm not sounding too pushy.

Thanks for testing. Don't have an ls980 so can't find out what to change.
For removing the nfc.apk it is really easy, just unzip the full flashable zip, delete nfc.apk folder and re-zip, you're good for re-flashing.

Did you manage to make it work? The only difference will be the NFC icon in status bar will be missing.
For other status bar notification icons, the ones on the left will always be stock as they are contained within the apps themselves. Only exceptions are system status icons (adb, usb, etc).

YES! Just tested on G2 2.2 Dalvik deodexed.
All relevant apks have the same MD5 in 2.2 and 2.1, so works just as before.
@bloof How can I make this theme work with Cloudy G3 3.3? Are you able to do so if its beyond basic knowledge?
Sorry, my G2 bricked 2 weeks ago, (full brick, no response).
But there is a cobalt module in xposed i think.

Ok I'll give that a try. Also, see if reseating your sim card and then holding the power button for about 10 seconds will make it boot up. I had that happen to me about the same time as yours and that did the trick for me.

[MOD][LP][New:31-05] SystemUI mods for Stock LP 30/a/d/e D802 (Deodexed) (updated!)

Hello,
i'm presenting to you several simple modifications of the LGSystemUI for the D802 LP roms 30a/d/f.
The below mods are based on deodexed LGSystemUI from the stock LP 30B rom. Please have in mind that the mods below will deodex your LGSystemUI, but will not deodex your whole rom. If you want to remove the modification please flash the Restore to stock file, but have in mind that the LGSystemUI will continue to be deodexed.
The previous mods which were available in the thread and which were not deodexing the LGSystemUI are still available, but i recommend you to use the new deodexed ones. If you insist on using the odexed one, please scroll down and expand the hidden section, where you'll find the old links.

Modified AOSP Style
This one is special. It has several modifications which deal with some functions which LG decided to remove for us, with no apparent reason. Here's a list of the included modifications, which for the moment are available only in this version, but some of them will be added soon to the other versions available here:
- AOSP-style Wi-Fi icon
- AOSP-style signal icon
- Merged data type indicator with signal indicator (HUGE thanks to glfsd, who helped me a lot on that)
- Changed Bluetooth status bar icon
- Added battery icon to the expanded status bar header
- Removed the circle from the lock screen
- Bigger lock screen clock
- Bigger lock screen date
- Lock screen date and weekday on one row
- Added next alarm time and day on the lock screen
- Removed carrier text from the lock screen
- Moved the position of the Charging text on the lock screen to appear under the date
- Enabled Sunny and Cloudy weather effects on the lock screen
- Changed the color of the Quick Settings button to blue
- Added flashlight button on the Quick Settings (credit for this one goes entirely to p_a_r_s_a7, who still haven't officially granted me permission to use his method, but i hope everything'll be OK)
Here's how everything looks, i hope you'll like it and enjoy it as much as i enjoyed creating it:

I did some testing and have some news for you. please read carefully the text below:
Have in mind that the attached mods are only for ODEXed stock rom!!! This means that if you have flashed a DEODEXed LGSystemUI.apk and try to use one of the below mods, you'll get a FC. On top of that restoring from DEODEXed back to ODEXed LGSystemUI.apk is not possible for the moment. Basically this means that if you somehow mess with the /system/priv-app/lgsystemui/arm/ folder you have to reflash your rom or to restore a nandroid backup. I'm currently investigating how to force restore to stock ODEXed lgsystemui.apk.

Yes, it's possible, actually for me the biggest issue is finding battery icons with the necessary quality Having this in mind - i can modify with any custom icons, given they're with size 57x75, png.
Can you Make it work on D800 5.0.2 also?
Yes, I need the Rom in order to pull the files or if you're rooted please send me a private message and I'll let you know which files you can pull for me.

Very useful work.. Thank you..
But, honestly and sadly I have a request: only the circle and % like CM, more thick than the last one..
:good: for now I'm using the first tipe, stock 30a..
Thanks for this mod! I would also love to see circle battery if possible
Hello, circle battery was my initial idea but I was searching for icons with goog resolution in order to avoid it being blurry. Finally I managed to find icons which look good and cooked it, so expect it a little bit later today for D802 and also (once I have a confirmation it's working fine) for F320.
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Free mobile app
@d_ave you can also add stock D802 v30e in your title bcoz it´s working fine here.
ps: i love the 2nd charging animation. also can you make ios like icons. thx.
Cm style circular battery mod uploaded for D802 and F320.
Thanks for testing on 30e rom. I need some brave testers who can flash the D802 mod on the other variants like D800, D805 etc. And please make backups if you decide to test.
Tomorrow I'll port the stock % icon for F320 and i'll try to add also some new mods. I'll also try to change the icon from png to the java which is used as indicator on the cm/aosp roms, but i do not promise anything since the porting process seams a little bit complicated
Some touchwiz theme?

D855 (D850,D851) Lollipop navbar icon change to old or custom theme's & Xposed modul
I don’t really like the Lollipop navigation bar. The circle, square, triangle... Just like a PlayStation controller. I liked the old navbar icons from KitKat, JB, especially the uniquely made ones. So I tried to modify the navbar icons. It worked very well, let me tell you that!
Required for installation:
0: As always, before you flash anything, make a system, or full (if you want) backup using TWRP.
1: Root (Obviously!(
2: TWRP recovery. (Or any other app you can use for flashing, e.g. Flashify.)
3: Stock based Lollipop ROMs, like these:
Stock ROM (V20h / V20i / V20p, etc., various models i.e. D850/1/2/5) Lollipop
Cloudy G3 ROM Lollipop
LAM HOANG G3 rom 5.0 Lollipop
LS990 stock based Lollipop ROMs confirmed, like this - these have been tested
THESE ROMs MAY NOT WORK PROPERLY, OR MAY NOT WORK AT ALL! YOU MAY BRICK YOUR DEVICE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
1: AndroidNow HD rom
2: LionRom https://plus.google.com/+TURKBEY06TR/posts
3: ChupaChups Rom
4: NovaStock ROM (20p) http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=972475
5: Spartaxx 2.0
6: Not sure… Testing more.
I say again: Make a full system backup before you begin I will not be held responsible for anything you do to your device. A few minutes is worth having to revert to stock, and re-install everything!
In case you do get a bootloop, hold the Vol down + Power key until the phone’s splash screen shows. Then let go of the two, and hold Vol down + Power key again, until it prompts you to enter recovery. (If TWRP or a custom recovery is installed, it will NOT format your data.)
Once the flash zip file, you can see after the restart as the system updates itself / the new icons. I'm waiting for ideas, tips, and other types of phone icon themes. Suffice it to the apk file, I can take them icons in 90%. This modified navigation icon theme height can be small wound and the larger for G3 Tweaksbox.
Once the zip has been flashed, you’ll be able to see your new navbar icons! I’m happy to take on suggestions for other themes.
