[MOD][LP][New:31-05] SystemUI mods for Stock LP 30/a/d/e D802 (Deodexed) (updated!) - G2 Themes and Apps

Hello,
i'm presenting to you several simple modifications of the LGSystemUI for the D802 LP roms 30a/d/f.
The below mods are based on deodexed LGSystemUI from the stock LP 30B rom. Please have in mind that the mods below will deodex your LGSystemUI, but will not deodex your whole rom. If you want to remove the modification please flash the Restore to stock file, but have in mind that the LGSystemUI will continue to be deodexed.
The previous mods which were available in the thread and which were not deodexing the LGSystemUI are still available, but i recommend you to use the new deodexed ones. If you insist on using the odexed one, please scroll down and expand the hidden section, where you'll find the old links.

Modified AOSP Style
This one is special. It has several modifications which deal with some functions which LG decided to remove for us, with no apparent reason. Here's a list of the included modifications, which for the moment are available only in this version, but some of them will be added soon to the other versions available here:
- AOSP-style Wi-Fi icon
- AOSP-style signal icon
- Merged data type indicator with signal indicator (HUGE thanks to glfsd, who helped me a lot on that)
- Changed Bluetooth status bar icon
- Added battery icon to the expanded status bar header
- Removed the circle from the lock screen
- Bigger lock screen clock
- Bigger lock screen date
- Lock screen date and weekday on one row
- Added next alarm time and day on the lock screen
- Removed carrier text from the lock screen
- Moved the position of the Charging text on the lock screen to appear under the date
- Enabled Sunny and Cloudy weather effects on the lock screen
- Changed the color of the Quick Settings button to blue
- Added flashlight button on the Quick Settings (credit for this one goes entirely to p_a_r_s_a7, who still haven't officially granted me permission to use his method, but i hope everything'll be OK)
Here's how everything looks, i hope you'll like it and enjoy it as much as i enjoyed creating it:

I did some testing and have some news for you. please read carefully the text below:
Have in mind that the attached mods are only for ODEXed stock rom!!! This means that if you have flashed a DEODEXed LGSystemUI.apk and try to use one of the below mods, you'll get a FC. On top of that restoring from DEODEXed back to ODEXed LGSystemUI.apk is not possible for the moment. Basically this means that if you somehow mess with the /system/priv-app/lgsystemui/arm/ folder you have to reflash your rom or to restore a nandroid backup. I'm currently investigating how to force restore to stock ODEXed lgsystemui.apk.

V2 - animation from 0 to charge value (I personally like it more than V1 and recommend it):

F320:Mediafire: CM_style_circular
VS980Mediafire: CM_style_circular
For the future you can expect several other mods with different icons, not only for the battery, but also for Wifi, Signal etc.
If you wish to go back to stock LGSystemUI you can either use you backup, or just flash this:
D802:Mediafire: LGSystemUI_Restore_Stock
F320:Mediafire: F320_LGSystemUI_Restore_Stock
VS980Mediafire: VS980_LGSystemUI_Restore_Stock
LGSystemUI is taken from stock D802 30A rom. It should be working fine on all D802 LP stock roms. If you experience any issues, please write here.

Yes, it's possible, actually for me the biggest issue is finding battery icons with the necessary quality Having this in mind - i can modify with any custom icons, given they're with size 57x75, png.

Can you Make it work on D800 5.0.2 also?

Yes, I need the Rom in order to pull the files or if you're rooted please send me a private message and I'll let you know which files you can pull for me.

What files?!

I've added 2 new styles and an updated version of the stock one in the OP.
if you want me to make them for one pf the other types of G2 (like F320 for example) please contact me with a private message so i can tell you which files i need from the rom.

Very useful work.. Thank you..
But, honestly and sadly I have a request: only the circle and % like CM, more thick than the last one..
:good: for now I'm using the first tipe, stock 30a..

Thanks for this mod! I would also love to see circle battery if possible

Hello, circle battery was my initial idea but I was searching for icons with goog resolution in order to avoid it being blurry. Finally I managed to find icons which look good and cooked it, so expect it a little bit later today for D802 and also (once I have a confirmation it's working fine) for F320.

@d_ave you can also add stock D802 v30e in your title bcoz it´s working fine here.
ps: i love the 2nd charging animation. also can you make ios like icons. thx.

Cm style circular battery mod uploaded for D802 and F320.
Thanks for testing on 30e rom. I need some brave testers who can flash the D802 mod on the other variants like D800, D805 etc. And please make backups if you decide to test.
Tomorrow I'll port the stock % icon for F320 and i'll try to add also some new mods. I'll also try to change the icon from png to the java which is used as indicator on the cm/aosp roms, but i do not promise anything since the porting process seams a little bit complicated

Some touchwiz theme?

Hi herbertzzz, this is a nice mod and i know this only for D802 and not AT&T. All the phones have a stock feature in common that i want to change i.e. Status bar (that carries signal, battery, notifications etc )50% transparency for custom wallpaper. I want it 100% transparent for custom wallpapers also just like how it appears for stock wallpapers. I played around all possible images in "LGSystemUI.apk". But i think it is some ".xml" code that is doing this in which i don't have the skills. Could you please help. Thanks in advance.

You are right, but I am have no chance to decompile G2-apks. APK-tool worked for me with Galaxy Note 2, but with G2 it does not. Also there are less Devs here for this device. I hope, this will become much better in the next few weeks.
I´m also waiting for some similar Mods. Code-changing is not my strenght, sorry for that.I always need some manuels and patterns to do this.

Nice work, its a beautiful MOD
Works fine on D80210C AME :good:
Just installed it however is it normal that half of the apps, the status bar remains silver? Done on purpose?
Thanks
Here's an example;
I also found another bug
In post # 1 I wrote, that the level of transparency in statusbar is about 50 % !!!. If you have white app-backgrounds or wallpapers, statusbar will be grey. This is really normal.
Second Post: Which bug do you mean? I can´t see one. I think you also mean the 50%-tinted bar, am I right?

[Mod][Theming] Statusbar/Navbar Mod

Okay so originally this was designed to be an ios styled statusbar mod but I decided to just make it a statusbar mod which has flashable icons and flashable styles which arrange icons differently. The mod is made using vrtheme so that means it does not replace the entire systemui and it does not matter if your rom odex or deodex it will work. I am working with xml files directly to move icons around so this means there is no need to use xposed. The 1% battery modding/theming needs a deodexed systemui in order to work properly so you can check out post #4 on how to deodex it and then flash it. You can check out post number 3 for some 1%battery mods by @rastigo.

Important Please Read
Since I rebased the mod in a way that it can be flashed to any rom it would be very difficult to maintain and create a flashable restore zip for all the roms on the g2 and I decided on the following, one restore zip which anyone can use:
-download restore systemui zip
Restore_SystemUI
-unzip on your pc or phone
-copy your lgsystemui.apk and lgsystemui.odex(if your rom deodex this won't be there) into system/priv-app
-rezip and now you have a flashable restore zip
Icons/Styles Download Links
The mod is designed in a way that if a person does not want other icons then they can just ignore the icons pack and flash the styles pack; the styles packs will only move around the icons and you need to flash the icon pack if you want to use other icons icons. This helps when some people prefer to move icons around without theming icons or can theme icons and not move them or have them both.
The center clock version only centers the clock without moving icons around for those who just want to rock with the center clock.
You will notice multiple versions of ios/center clock/left clock styles packs:
no lock- does not include the lock by tapping a corner or long press for power menu
no data- hides the data icons so if you are connected to 3g/H/4g/Lte/etc it will not show icons
center lock option- ability to lock screen by tapping statusbar center and long press for power menu
left lock option- ability to lock screen by tapping statusbar left corner and long press for power menu
right lock option- ability to lock screen by tapping statusbar right corner and long press for power menu

1% Battery + Mods
Thanks @XxZombiePikachu for the opportunity to contribute for our g2 in this thread...
As requested by many, I will be posting battery mods here. These mods allow the battery to display individually at each percent decrease. I will take individual requests as well..
Installation is very simple-Just flash in recovery
Note- turn off all xposed modules before flashing. This is a must do for the mod to work...
Lets start off: ----USE DEODEXED LGSYSTEMUI and delete odex file from /system/priv-app.
For those of you who are unable to deodex your CloudyG3 1.3 LGSystemUI, I did it for you, available here for download:laugh:
For those of you who are unable to deodex your Stock G2 LGSystemUI, I did it for you, available here for download:laugh:
Mod v-1: Battery with percentage integrated in it. I had to make the battery icon wider so that the percentage of battery can be displayed in icon itself. The background is black to maintain better visibility at all times. Charging animation is stock with modded icons. Percentage color is as follows:
0-Empty;1to10-red;11to15-orange;16to20-yellow;21to99-white;100-Full
DOWNLOAD
Mod v-2: Circle battery with 100 charging icons. Percentage color is as follows:
0-Empty;1to9-red;10to18-orange19to99-white;100-Full
G2StockKKmoddedLGSystemUI.apk

Thanks to @Ticklefish for his guide to make the mod

For displaying customized text/customized carrier label in Statusbar, you can do it easily. I learned it from a guide posted by @EnricoD .
1. Decompile LGSystemUI.apk and edit status_bar.xml with notepad++ found in res/layout folder and find this line
HTML:
<LinearLayout android:orientation="horizontal" android:id="@id/notification_icon_area" android:layout_width="0.0dip" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:layout_weight="1.0" android:layoutDirection="ltr">
2. Add the following line below it
HTML:
TextView android:textAppearance="@style/TextAppearance.StatusBar.Clock" android:gravity="left|center" android:textSize="15.0dip" android:textColor="#ffffffff" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" android:text="@string/mytext" android:singleLine="true" />
3. Go to /res/values/strings and at the bottom add the following:
HTML:
<string name="mytext">"your text to be displayed in your statusbar "</string>
IMP: Please maintain the " " as without them special characters will not be displayed properly.
4. Recompile , push the LGSystemUI.apk to /system/priv-app with 644 permissions
5. Reboot and Voila

How to deodex your lgsystemui.apk
I suggest Universal Deodexer which is very simple to use.
Instructions :
1. Download and extract the zip using 7zip/winrar. You will get a folder called "Universal_Deodexer_V5"
2. Open the folder and place your framework files [/system/framework] in the "framework" folder.
3. Grab the LGSystemUI.apk/LGSystemUI.odex from your roms system/priv-app using a root explorer or extract them from the rom.zip and place them in the "source" folder.
4. Double click on Launcher.bat to start the tool.
5. Select the various options: Android Version- 4.4 Compression Level- whatever you would like, I use 9 but it takes longer
6. Click on the deodex all files button and wait for it to do it's stuff.
7. Once the process is done you can find your newly deodexed LGSystemUI.apk in the Universal Deodexer>Done folder.
8. Now that it is all done deodexing we want to flash it and so you can download this zip and extract it then go to the systemui flashing>system>priv-app and place the deodexed sysetmui here.
9. Zip up the two folders using either 7zip/WinRAR and then you are ready to flash it.

Hey when I flashed optimusg3 I played with the build.prop and one of the changes made it so I always had only one bar, I think that there are specific lines in build.prop that affect what signal it shows, if you let me know what is your carrier then I can tell what line you can edit to see if it changes

[MOD][THEME][G2][CLOUDY G2.2 & G3 2.1][DEODEXED] Cobalt (+ Giga) icons / UI theme

UPDATED!
CLOUDY G2 2.2 & G3 2.1 - MOD for Cobalt (+some Gigamatrix) icons & UI theme- See screenshots
CREDITS TO ICON CREATORS!!! THANKS!!
PS: If you did create the icons and don't want them released in this MOD please let me know.
WORKS WITH CLOUDY G2 2.2
I said DEODEXED, and I repeat it. I don't know if this works on ODEX ROM, but it should (now you flash entire apks, not just patch them). Let me know if it does, only test after full nandroid backup.

PLEASE READ EVERYTHING; AND I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OF PHONE, FUNCTIONALITY, DATA, STRESS, ETC
Tested:
This should work on Dalvik and ART and ODEXED ROMs.
- D802 cloudy G3 2.1 Deodexed ART with and without 3minit MOD
- LS980: seems to create an nfc error
Please let me know if you test on other configurations, including odex ROM.
I have serious doubts it would work on verizon phones, depends on how Cloudy G3 works on those.
3minit battery mod for Cloudy G3:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/themes-apps/3minit-battery-mod-cloudyg3-2-1-t2962454
credits @vPro97
NOTE on 3minit MOD: if you want 3minit MOD, then first install that, if you apply 3minit AFTER applying my MOD you will lose some aspects of it.
Notes:
- Battery icon in screenshots is from 3minit
- Most icons are Cobalt. I also used some status bar icons from Gigamatrix (either because they are nicer or Cobalt was not themed), etc.
- The status bar icons have been resized from G3 to fit, others have not, and I like the very large quicksettings icons!
- T-action is not themed, i Just replaced the blue button with something that doesn't clash as much.
- some UI icons in settings might no be themed in "tab mode"
Instructions:
1. Either make a full nandroid backup (recommended if you are testing on an ODEX ROM), or follow these instructions for creating a quick flashable recovery file.
Backup the following files with ZIPme: (Make sure you backup the odex files too if you are testing this on an odex ROM!
system/app/LGEasySettings.apk & LGNfc.apk
system/framwork/framework-res.apk & lge-res.apk
system/priv-app/LGContacts.apk & LGInCallUI.apk & LGSettings.apk & LGSystemUI.apk
2. Download flashable zips (see Download section below)
4. Reboot to recovery
5a. If you DON'T have E 3minit: Flash "Flash-CloudyG3-Cobalt-Theme-FULL files.zip" first, if you want the light blue clock on the left then also flash "Flash-CloudyG3-ClockBlueLeft-stock.zip" second (this last flashable zip is only a patch to LGSystemUI.apk, it might not work for ODEX ROMs).
5b. If you HAVE 3minit: Flash "Flash-CloudyG3-Cobalt-3minit-FULL files.zip" first, if you want the light blue clock on the left then also flash "Flash-CloudyG3-ClockBlueLeft-3minit.zip" second (this last flashable zip is only a patch to LGSystemUI.apk, it might not work for ODEX ROMs).
6. Reboot to system
Downloads:
Flash-CloudyG3-Cobalt-Theme-FULL files.zip
Flash-CloudyG3-Cobalt-3minit-FULL files.zip
Flash-CloudyG3-ClockBlueLeft-3minit.zip
Flash-CloudyG3-ClockBlueLeft-stock.zip
Restore:
If you have followed this link instructions to create a recovery file BEFORE applying these MODs, then simply reboot to recovery and flash your recovery file.
If you also installed 3minit MOD please follow the 3minit MOD removal instructions (http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/themes-apps/3minit-battery-mod-cloudyg3-2-1-t2962454).

Thanks, trying to catch up with you.
But this flashable ZIP only contains replacement image files and patches the apks, so not sure if it would work on Odex.

Oh! I think the best you can do (if it doesn't work for ODEX) is to provide a LGsystemui.apk that's already Deodexed and contains your changes. People will end up with a Deodexed systemui but if it's zipaligned they won't notice a decrease in performance at all.

Sorry to hear that.
Which model do you have?
The only thing I can think of is that your nfc.apk is different for some reason.
Option 1:
1. Boot to recovery and wipe dalvik+cache.
2. See if that works.
Option 2:
1. Revert to your original files
2. Boot to recovery and flash the non-full version:
https://mega.co.nz/#!HZoDDQ5b!ekEx4CE2sZzZI-Y1_0GWcQ6S5P7bdVyFRvG0dvN-7u8
Let me know if the problem persists.

I'm on the ls980. I just did a clean install and will try the full again and if that doesn't work I'll try the non-full version. I had xposed and other stuff installed, so I'm trying it without the other tweaks to see if that's what's causing the problem.

Ok the link you posted worked but I don't have everything themed. Battery and signal are still white and the left side of the status bar is stock also.
@bloof Is there a way you can create a full theme that takes out the nfc.apk or whatever it was that caused the nfc chaos on my ls980? I'm a huge fan of the Cobalt theme and would love to have everything themed with it. Hope I'm not sounding too pushy.

Thanks for testing. Don't have an ls980 so can't find out what to change.
For removing the nfc.apk it is really easy, just unzip the full flashable zip, delete nfc.apk folder and re-zip, you're good for re-flashing.

Did you manage to make it work? The only difference will be the NFC icon in status bar will be missing.
For other status bar notification icons, the ones on the left will always be stock as they are contained within the apps themselves. Only exceptions are system status icons (adb, usb, etc).

YES! Just tested on G2 2.2 Dalvik deodexed.
All relevant apks have the same MD5 in 2.2 and 2.1, so works just as before.
@bloof How can I make this theme work with Cloudy G3 3.3? Are you able to do so if its beyond basic knowledge?
Sorry, my G2 bricked 2 weeks ago, (full brick, no response).
But there is a cobalt module in xposed i think.

Ok I'll give that a try. Also, see if reseating your sim card and then holding the power button for about 10 seconds will make it boot up. I had that happen to me about the same time as yours and that did the trick for me.

Big thanks and hail to:
@Kickoff and @ffalete for their work which set me on the right track to modding Navbar;
@xpirt for his perfect MM ROM;
@Cloudyfa for his perfect LP ROM
@blackcodetech for helping with LGSystemUI modding
All mods are made for Marshmallow.
Do not install on Lollipop ROM's
Description of the installation :
1. If you are worried or you are always well-organized back up at least file /system/priv-app/LGSystemUI/LGSystemUI.apk .
I recommend to use this flashable zip for making backup your original LGSystemUI:
LGSystemUI-Make Backup use this file for the first time before start modding. After flash this file you will have flashable backup in /sdcard/LGSystemUI-original
2. As a basis for further modifications need to use the re-compiled by me (Flash with TWRP and reboot the system):
LGSystemUI for Fulmics 4.2
LGSystemUI for Fulmics 6.5 MEGA or GoogleDrive
LGSystemUI for Marshmallow V30a,c,d,e,f,g,h,j they all (except 30b) have the same stock UI file (let me know if don't work)
3. If you left point . 1 and 2 , do not go further.
4. Select and install the modification from here (choose proper file for your system) :
All MODs for Fulmics 4.2 MEGA
All MODs for Fulmics 6.5 MEGA or GoogleDrive
All MODs for MM V30a,c,d,e,f,g,h,j MEGA

For G5 UI V30a,c,d,e,f,g,h,j navbar mods are now the same as for stock UI.
5. If you want to go back to stock navbar - restore your backup located in LGSystemUI-original
And here you have Framework MODs with couple navbar sizes for Stock Marshmallow V30 a c d e f g h j
Navbar sizes (Stock, 38, 36, 34, 32, 30)

Update:
Thanks to @xpirt for this G5 system dump, he gave us possibilty to port G5 UI and apps
1. Ported G5 LGSystemUI (not recommended installation transparent or semi mods - it's awful with this UI).
Choose your G5 UI for your system:
V30a,c,d,e,f,g,h,j or Fulmics 4.2, next soon.
All G5 UI MODs can be used as a base for navbar modding.
On screenshots navbar is script-MOD but in zip file is stock navbar.
QSNoti panel mod for Fulmics 6.5 with rounded corners - can be used same as a base for navbar mods.
Fulmics 6.5 rounded noti MOD - (not recommended installation transparent or semi mods - it's awful with this UI)
2.
a) MODs for stock G3 UI (not G5 like)
Transparent is the first made by me @blackcodetech helped), more come soon...[emoji41]
At this moment there are 3 mods:
Transparent QS + Noti Header
Semi-transparent QS + Noti Header
Transparent QS + Semi-Transparent Noti Header
MODs for quicksettings panel
Added LGSystemUI for Fulmics 4.2 with black QS and noti panel
Black QS + noti for Fulmics 4.2
b) All transparecy MODs for Fulmics 5.1-5.3 (can be used as a base for navbar MODs) - and all are maded with rounded noti corners

OK , maybe you meant something else . Writing fully transparent I mean , the soft keys change color when you change the background of the navigation bar , which is not happening in the case of tweaksbox themes.
Maybe i should say.. Full color softkeys?

I've been skiing in the mountains , so I did not write .
I do not know if it's worth doing white buttons for G3TWB if they do not change color and may not be visible depending on the background.
