Can send me link to some free app? I think in sip apps ill have to purchase minutes. Isnt there any mod to change my number?
Sent from Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005

Not app but you needs to purchase minutes from sip call provider
Sent from my SM-N900 using xda premium

@dr.ketan thanks but I dont want to purchase.
Just a thought I think someone can make a xposed mod to do that.
Sent from Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005

I think a module might be able to be made but i cant see any reasonable reason why someone would need to do this. I can think of plenty or sketchy reasons but no ligitimate one.
I've not had to do it for years but can you not turn off the part that sneds your number out when you call someone? My father in laws still comes up as private number when he calls me.

Actually operator can allow it and different region have different process. In India they giving facilities to post paid subscriber with monthly charge. But still you needs to clear formalities including police clearance.

Caller ID is assigned at the operator site (switching site), not at the user side, so you cannot and never can change of spoof caller ID.
However you can hide it as unknown caller. You can use my app Advanced Call Settings to activate this feature. Of course you should register this service with your provider first.
Open this app, select 'Line ID' tab, select CLIR, tap Interrogate to check if the service is available for you. Tap Invoke to see the instruction how to use it.
Download link in my signature.

The name does say, "advanced". Here you can find many advanced settings that doesn't exist in the phone's settings menu.

That's I know but when you suggest your application to activate hide caller id instead of stock setting that's why just asked if it have anything different.
Long ago I have looked your app.

That's not entirely true. I'm not going to post any details here, because I seriously question the legality of it, so you'll have to take my word for it (or don't; makes no difference to me)...But there absolutely do exist apps that will change your outgoing caller ID to whatever you want. You won't find them on any app store, and I'd be surprised if you find them from searching Google, but they are out there.
My understanding of the technical details of how exactly they work is fuzzy, at best, but I've tested more than one method with a couple of friends, and sure enough, I was able to call them and their phone showed an incoming call from 911, their own number, and whatever else I set it to via these methods.
Again, I have no intention of providing any further details or any 'proof', but if you're really interested in such a thing, and know where and how to look, eventually you'll find it, as I did.

You can use third party services to spoof number, I on Cydia I remember app/tweak that did it was not a free service.

[Q]Voicemail App

Here in Holland we have to pay to listen to our voicemail messages.
I was wondering if there is an app that does the following:
Auto picksup after 15-20 secs, then plays a message + beep, and then records a message on your phone locally.
This would save me alot of cash.
So does anyone knows an app like this?
Thanks!
I have recently started using Tasker. It can completely (almost) automatically. It can auto answer calls, play files and record calls. It can be fiddly, but is powerful and should do what you want (and more).

[Q] Is there an app that would notify me on phone A about activity on phone B

Hi !
It's kinda difficult for me to explain but it's fairly simple:
I have 2 android phones:
1. Phone "A" with number I use all day and carry it with me.
2. Phone "B" with number I use rarely and usually it stands on the shelf all day long.
I receieve calls, SMS and other things on phone "B" occasionally. Sometimes entire day passes until I see that I have missed call, SMS or other notification.
Is there an app that would notify me on phone "A" that I have some activity on phone "B" ?
Thanks in advance ! :good:
Im looking for a same aplication too for android. Can anyone give us a clue??

Google voice with lycamobile?

Is it possible to get google voice working with any other services besides the ones they have listed? I want to set it up with my lycamobile number. So is there a way to do this or is it not allowed unless they officially support it? I Google searched and all I could find was how to transfer your Google voice number but nothing about getting it working with other companies. Thanks

When I tried setting up google voice and texting and calling on my computer it said choose your carrier from a drop down list. The list only had certain big ones. Lycamobile wasn't on there but it supposedly runs on tmobiles network so do I just choose tmobil?

I never had to select a carrier but I set mine up a few years ago. Maybe things have changed. If your provider runs on T-Mobile network I would choose it

It didn't work. It says mmi something then error or something like that when I put in the activation code. It says prepaid T-Mobile plans not supported and my plan is prepaid so that might be the issue.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
I don't understand what activation you are having to do. When I set mine up, I simply put in the number I wanted to verify from, what number would be used to forward to and that was it

Se situation
Abdel, I appear to be in the same situation as you. I am able to receive calls/texts using my Google Voice number, but I wasn't able to make calls using the number because Lycamobile isn't on the drop-down list on Google's "activate Google Voice on this phone" page. BUT then I just changed the setting in GV to "Making calls: Use Google Voice to make all calls" and it works perfectly, showing my GV number on phones I call and ringing my phone when people call my GV number. It even seems voicemails are handled by GV and not Lyca.

Correct, nothing else onthe computer. I'm using the GV app for all my text messages, not the normal Android texting app (soon to become Hangouts, methinks).
If this is working for you, hit the thanks button. I don't know much compared to some people here, so I'll take any boost to my thanks meter I can get.

Nice to see the Gear S2 gives the ability to at least reply to messages with the dismal s voice, pre defined or keyboard ?
But you cannot create a new message only reply to an existing received message on your watch.
A Big plus for me
Something happened
Mine started off being able to reply but now the options available to choose is show on phone, Block and clear..
Odd still works fine for me

Noticed that pictures will only show when there is only one message in that particular whatsapp thread. Once there is more than one message, images stop appearing on the Gear S2.

Check Last Seen On WhatsApp Even If Hidden!

Hello XDA!
Today I wanted to share an app that's really cool with you guys.
Please keep in mind that I am not the developer of it, I just saw the app on a website and decided to share it with you guys!
The app is called Whatsdog, it allows you to to see Last seen of a contact which has hidden its Last Seen information and also get an alert when the same contact goes Online in Android. Instructions are simple:
1- After installing WhatsDog App, tap on the App icon to open it.
2- Select Start on the main screen.*In the next screen you need to enter the contact number whose Last Seen you wish to monitor.
3- Tap on*BY CONTACT*to directly set the contact from Contact list instead of entering the number manually.
4- Tap on Continue once you have set the Contact whose Last Seen you want to see.
5- Select Contact whose Last seen even if Hidden is to be viewed and Continue You are done!
Now in the Second Tab of the WhatsDog App all the Online/Offline time information will be written even if the contact has hidden Last Seen from Privacy Settings as shown in the image below. View Online and Offline time stamps even if Last Seen is Hidden for the contact selected Moreover, you will get a notification as soon as the contact goes Online on WhatsApp as shown below. Notification if the contact goes Online on WhatsApp
This way you can also get to know if someone is Online on WhatsApp. WhatsDog App is free. The limitation of the app is that you can monitor ( i.e. see Last Seen information) only one contact at a time.
That's it! I hope you guys like it, if you did please hit thanks.
Here is the original post on the website: http://www.techuntold.com/how-to-see-last-seen-on-whatsapp-even-if-hidden/

As an alternative to WhatsDog(which I don't think will work any longer) you can spy WhatsApp messsages even if deleted .
Hello
I've recently discovered a new app that shows you who is talking to whom on WhatsApp, is called WhatsDetective and works great
WhatsD0g is back with a new version. Search WhatsD0g (with a 0) on google play and install it now to enjoy a 2 days FREE trial. Just enter a phone number and start tracking WhatsApp status.
