I uploaded Multi-Watch to the Samsung apps store.
Make sure you use the Samsungs Apps from within the Gear Manager to find this app.
Update (30-07-2014): Latest version available: version 2.4
This is a demo video for version 2.3 which is pretty much the same as the latest version.

It is a watch which you can edit/configure on the gear2 itself.
You can change the background, hands type and color, digital time on/off ampm or 24h, battery indicator on/off.
You can also select a background from the gallery on the gear2.
Nice free background images can be found on gearfaces.com
The app is currently "Under device test" by Samsung, might take a few days to become publicly available.
Here is a preview video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdo9JBPInIk
Put the Multi-Watch in "Edit-mode" by clicking in the center of the watch, return to "User-mode" by clicking again in the center.
Edit-Mode:
=======
Center: switch on/off Edit-mode
Top left corner: select image from Gallery
Top middle: set dots or number in a circle on the screen
Top right corner: am/pm or 24h time format
Right middle: date on/off and position
Bottom Right: position of digital time
Bottom middle: select a build-in watch face
Bottom left: Select hands type/color

Please wait for the official version.
Even if I wanted, technically it is not possible to post a working development version here I think.
The watch (wgt file) needs to be signed with a Samsung developer certificate that is bound to my own gear2 device. It would give a certificate error on other devices.
Samsung does this to protect developers, so that their development versions of apps can't be distributed.
Wgt that do not use special priviliges, don't need to be signed with a samsung developer certificate, these can be used by others too, that are basic WebKit apps, like some of the watches posted here.
You probably have already seen privilege errors trying to install some of the demo apps...that's because you need a samsung developer certificate (public type) to build/sign these.
It's bedtime over here, I'll read your comments and wishes(!) tomorrow.
Thanks for all the positive reactions so far.
Is it possible to load your own clock hands aswell??
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
he never said it was going to cost did he ? lol , maybe a free time trial for xda members heh ?
but yes if all works out defiantly worth supporting.
I have a feeling that Samsung won't release it. I don't know why....but I just have a feeling that they are gonna be pricks about letting ppl customize our own devices...

if its a possibility that they wont allow is , isn't it possible to just share the wgt file , from this thread we have a few we can share and load on eachothers watches and they work fine.

Is it possible to use your own designs or do you have to use works created by others from the original gear one watch styler themes? (see images below)
Ps. it's customary and polite to credit the original authors when you use work that is not your own... Just sayin'.

If I read correctly you would choose images in your gear2 gallery to use. He only listed gearfaces.com as a source for background images.

No he says that the author used images not created by him. And that Gearfaces can be used for the backgrounds, but Im the owner of GF and I need to ask every designer his permission to use their backgrounds for this.
Their not our creations and these designers spent tons of time on some of them. So I think its fair to give the proper people credits at least, or maybe even ask their permission. As he wants to ask money for this app with someone elses work.

ChargeBar is a free, fully-customizable, feature-packed MIUI battery bar for ANY Android device on ANY ROM, no root required! Hopefully everyone will give this a shot, we're sure you'll like it. It includes more customizations that the actual MIUI battery bar! Like the app? Don't forget to hit "Thanks!"
Feature include:
The ability to start when the device has finished booting.
Automatic hiding in full screen applications.
Hiding in the lock screen.
Displaying a status bar notification/ reminder.
Configurable animation style (normal, right-to-left/ inverted, and centered)!
1% battery indicator for supported devices (and a hack for Motorola devices including the Defy).
Charging animations.
Changing the color (choose a static color or an interval based on the remaining charge).
1% interval options for color (unlike other apps there are no predefined ranged like 0-20%, you can select as many ranges as finely as you want. Even choose a color for every percent!)
Changing the height.
Configurable position (top, bottom, bottom of status bar).
If possible please consider donating, it supports development as well as removes the permanent graphical links at the bottom of the app (they are not "ads" per-say nor does this app require the INTERNET permission). Please refrain from re-posting the APK anywhere! We will take care of updating it on our website.
While ChargeBar is no longer in beta that does not mean that there will not be bugs. If you run into any issues please send us an email with your device, firmware, description of the problem, screenshot/ logcat, or any other relevant piece of information.

nice job....just what i need....like the animation when is charging
Thanks guys, I will certainly look into custom colors for specific levels and/ or times of the day but I don't want to look it into say 15%, 30%, etc. so I need to come up with a clever interface and ContentProvider to handle this.

Great stuff. Using it now.
some1 reported that it almost messed his device by changing the Height to a very high amount, like 600-700-800 range

suggest to limit the amount
Looks nice but i can't seem to make it show above your super status bar+ app.
Best thing that I can do is to make it show at the bottom

Alright, I've set the height in the latest version (beta two) to 99px, just to be sure that it can't do "too" much damage. Of course this option should be used with caution even at 99px, but it should minimize the impact.
Check out the Android Market or our website for the latest APK.

Fantastic app. Back in Windows Mobile times I used a similar one. One option I really liked was an ability to set the color to rainbow style (RGB spectrum). It made the bar really visible no matter what the background was. Could you think of implementing it in future versions?
I set everything and start the app but i don't see the bar in any location i tried. I tried bigger height but still nothing. Process is running. Any help?

September 13th
Today I released Appsi 1.5. This release includes the following new features:
1. A new (100% free and a part of Appsi itself) page in the sidebar with support for
- App widgets in the sidebar
- Home plugins (Appsi specific plugins, more below)
- DashClock extensions
2. Full freedom in placing the hotspots and the amount of them.
3. Fast scrolling support
4. More cutomizations and look & feel options
5. Music player controls (with special thanks to xda member Dr.Alexander_Breen for his excellent guide)
.. And a lot more.
September 4th (beta 1.4.21):
It's been a while and I think it is time to give you all a little update on what's going on behind the scenes in beta. I am working on fixing the issues that are left and hope to release the upcoming version as Appsi 1.5 soon.
I have got tons of new cool features coming up. To name a few:
1. A new (100% free and a part of Appsi itself) page in the sidebar with support for
- App widgets in the sidebar
- Home plugins (Appsi specific plugins, more below)
- DashClock extensions
2. Full freedom in placing the hotspots and the amount of them.
3. Fast scrolling support
4. More cutomizations and look & feel options
5. Music player controls (with special thanks to xda member Dr.Alexander_Breen for his excellent guide)
.. And a lot more.
The Home Plugins are small extensions to the home tab/plugin. The are small plugins you can add to the home tab in Appsi. They can be used to show things like, missed calls count, launching certain intents and a lot more. There is an open source sample project with docs on Github. And there's some instructions right here.
If you are looking for screenshots, take a look in the G+ beta community.
July 30th: Version 1.4 released
Last weekend I updated Appsi to version 1.4
New features:
1. Customize the size of the text and icons
2. Change the spacing between the items
3. Global search
4. New icon
July 15th: Version 1.3.3 in beta.
Very small amount of changes for this beta. Moving to production on 18th if no issues arise.
1. Option to minimize the notification. (no icon and smallest possible notification, no extra actions etc)
2. Bug fix for android 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 devices, causing crashed with hardware acceleration enabled.
3. Fix issue with long texts on items in the sidebar when there is a title and a description. The title will now also have ellipsis.
July 13th: Version 1.3 released.
Today I moved version 1.3 from beta to production. The following changes are probably going to make 1.4:
Improved search: Search through all apps, even if the section is disabled. If you have plugins, search will include all results from all plugins.
Live folder support in Appsi (add a live folder as if it is a plugin)
If you have a suggestion, just let me know.
Also I will add new translations once they have been completed. This is just a matter of time. If you would like to help out, pm me.
July 6th: Version 1.3 beta released.
I just finished uploading the new beta version of Appsi to Google play. This new version contains the following new features:
Proper favorites manager
Contextual action bar to perform actions on long press.
Switch plugins by swiping left or right on the sidebar
Updates to all plugins for the contextual actions
Fixes:
Fixed a bug in the icon caching mechanism
This is a beta release, so for now only accessible for beta testers (wanna be a beta tester? let me know). This version will most likely move to production within one week.
July 1st: version 1.2.4 was released
Although it may not sound like a big update, This version adds support for the following new features:
* transparency in the sidebar
* the ability to choose a background image for the sidebar
* Choice between light and dark theme
* Improved the way to get the data from the plugins.
* Improved user experience, especially for new users.
Special thanks go out to all the people helping with translations and beta testing. Thank you very much!
See https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appsimobile.appsi for the Google play listing.
Appsi sidebar is a sidebar application for android. It comes with an embedded App plugin (more about that later) that allows you to see all your apps and add your favorite 5 apps as favorites.
It supports 3 distinct gestures when opening the sidebar, by default they will all open the sidebar normally. The gestures are moving horizontally after touching the hotspot, moving up or moving down. For each of these you can set the action to perform, these actions are:
- open the sidebar (default)
- open favorites swiper
- open recents swiper (needs plugins with recents)
- open plugin swiper (swipe to the plugin you'd like to open and then open the sidebar)
The swiper is the same as what you might know from other apps (like swipepad), it allows you to open something with one single touch, by moving your finger from the sidebar to the item.
The hotpot is either on the left or right side of the screen, it can be positioned manually and can be as big as you want.
Thanks to the wonderful people on this forum Russian translations have been added in the latest version. Also simplified Chinese has been added. I'd like to know what you all think about this app
Appsi is plugin based (and supported). This means it allows you to buy plugins to extend the functionality. This is not needed for normal operation, but it will add more types of things you can add as a sidebar.
You can either add a hotspot for each plugin, or use one hotspot for all plugins. The opened plugin can be changed by tapping the title of the sidebar.
If anyone has suggestions or improvement, either for plugins or Appsi itself, please let me know.

Appsi 1.5 release
Hello everybody,
If there are people out here that would like to test the app and provide feedback that would be great. I am open to suggestions and have a list of upcoming features. One of the features I just released as beta is the ability to change the alpha and to set a background for the sidebar. And the ability to be always up to date with the plugins (no need to load the data when the sidebar opens)
So if you'd like to do beta testing, send me your Google account (e-mail address) and I'll add you to the testers list.
If you do not want to test the beta version but would prefer to test the current version, that will also help very much.
Any feedback will help.
Thank you all!
If I'm right, this sidebar uses a service as "sidebar", doesn't it?
All other apps I've seen start up an activity if you touch the gesture area. If you press the home button and try to launch an activity from the gesture area, it has a 5 second delay.
So that's a really good thing.
Overall UI looks pretty good, which makes the users first thoughts about the app very positive.
ActionBar in the sidebar is awesome and usefull.
Logo isn't the best I've seen, you could improve that.
This is my opinion 4 seconds after installation.
Edit: search bar is very usefull
Sent from my Nexus 4 running Android 4.2 JB
I will try it ASAP and report.
I tried a lot already.... almost all to be honest, and i stick right now to a cryptic one but which really work well. Can be used for inspiration, so here it is (and i am not advertsing, ok. It is just for reference as this one is relly unknown) : overlay launcher.
Gonna install your app and report from my of course subjective point of view.
Cheers
Really like it thus far! Would it be possible to make it easier to switch between plug ins, I.e, when the sidebar is open instead of going to the top to switch plug ins, maybe you can swipe left and right within in the sidebar to switch between plug ins. It will make it a lot easier to use instead of going to the top.

It is mandatory to add an option to dismiss notification from the notification panel... It's way too big, and it is very annoying for me!
App works really well indeed, and I'm looking forward to try a couple of plugins!
Keep up the good work mate!

Thanks! Yes I know I'll ask try to find someone to do some icon design later on. Will become better. I am focusing on improving the usability right now and other performance improvements. They are all in beta now, and if no more issues are found in these versions, I'll be putting this beta to production.

Thanks, the problem with this is running as a service. Android will kill the app if it needs resources. I have tested it and it will kill it quite often and restart it within a few moments. I can add an option (a discouraged one) to disable running as a foreground service. I can also suggest the user to disable notifications for the app if running on jelly bean, and take them there. Another thought was the ability to set a 100% transparent icon so that it does not show up in the notification bar.
The upcoming version (current beta) adds the following features:
custom backgrounds on the sidebar
light and dark theme (dark theme is the current theme, light is like holo light)
better synchronization between appsi and the plugins. (less data loading needed and better user experience)
Improved getting started experience (visible hotspots until the user disables it and an arrow showing how to open the sidebar once the hotspot is touched)
For the next version (after the current beta), I will add the following features for sure:
Favorites manager: Manage the favorites in a proper way and allow for an unlimited amount of favorites.
Navigating between plugins with a simple swipe.
and possibly:
integration with live folders
widgets plugin (already working on this)
Thank you all, and if you have any more ideas or suggestions, please let me know!
May I add something to this already rich and awesome list?
I would REALLY REALLY LIKE to have the possibility to add shortcuts to the apps plugin (as I can do on the launcher screen, for example). That would be really helpful!!
...Maybe also an option to change app icons and names, and a way to hide the "X" for apps removal (which I find quite ugly, this function might be moved to a separate and specific menu to add/remove things maybe?) ?
you may also think about offering an "all plugins package" at a discounted price, rather than having to buy all plugins separately (which, btw, makes the sum of all prices quite high). So that the user can choose if selectively buy the only one or two plugins he needs at their actual price, or directly going for the full thing.. I hope it's clear what I mean!
Cheers and keep up the good work!!
Should you need some beta testers... You know where to look

Yes, the favorites manager will at first be used to replace the current way of adding and removing the favorites. But later on it will also be improved to allow changing names and icons. Also I am planning to do something with icon themes, I still need to determine how and what, but a new theming format is not what I am aiming for (we are talking several releases in the future now)
Shortcuts is definitely on the list of to-dos for the apps plugin. I can't say yet when it will be added but it is something that will definitely be there in the future.
Well beta testers are always very welcome. The XDA Android app testers community is a good starting point, https://plus.google.com/communities/100406373096097711894 . If you join this group and opt-in for beta testing at https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.appsimobile.appsi you'll be able to get the beta version. I still need to add this community to the plugins, I will update my original post with the details when it is done.
Appsi sidebar is well beyond 1000 downloads from play store! Yay!
I really recommend this app guys, try it out and you'll see that it is even more comfortable to use than it looks!

This feature is included in the beta that was released today. I loved it from the moment it worked. Very good suggestion
Today the beta was moved to production. See the original post at the start of the thread for the changes
Very cool app and working great so far.

New Beta release, for all of you who want the notification icon gone, it is in beta now!
I'm joining this too.
Gonna try out.
Keep the good work.

New version released, 1.4 see original post for details
Newest version is great!! An awesome improvement, really!! Appsi is becoming more and more polished and feature rich, while staying lightning fast. Can't think of anything better!!
Now we only need some more theming options, like changing icons (as we do on launchers like nova, apex...)
Cheers and keep up the good work!!

Appsi crashing
Firstly, after 24 hours of using Appsi, I have to say that Appsi has become one of my favourite apps. It is well done and provides needed functionality.
However, from time to time Appsi freezes and the only way to get the sidebar back is to force close the app from the application manager and then restart the app.
I'm using CM 10.1 (Android 4.2.1) on Samsung S3.
Any idea why this is happening?
Cheers,
Eran

Never ever had a freeze or FC on Alliance Rom.. Maybe the problem you have is only tied to aosp roms and not stock or derivative ones?

This thread is for designers to share their watchfaces created with the Gear Watchface Designer. Below are images of my first attempt with GWD called GlowingSportWatch.
First Attempt
I would post the very simple combination analogue/digital watch face that I'm currently using but I'm new here and can't post image links. Oh well.
I'm now working on a black watch face with spotlights that act as the hour and minute hands revealing the watch face as it goes. Probably works better in my head than in reality but it'll be different if nothing else.
If I can find the right images somewhere I might also try a background with a picture of the earth that rotates in sync with the time, or maybe one where you see the sun rise and set followed by the moon doing the same. So many possibilities...
Are these available for download?
My First Attempt with GearWatchDesigner
Here is a screen shot of my first attempt with using Gear Watch Designer. Just trying multiple features at the same time. Also fun to finally have control over the sequence of layers and the ability to stack graphic layers in-between other layers.
The design incorporates
6 Digital clock items:
Hour, Minute, Second stacked on left side. Day, Month, Date stacked on right side
5 Analog clock items
the three outside comets are analog hands for hour, minute, second as they move around the face.
And there are two other graphics of twinkling stars that move, one clockwise and the other counter-clockwise as "Second Hands" (counter-clockwise movement is really cool)
Plus two complications: Steps count at the top, and a Battery level graphic at the bottom.
As a newbie, I cannot post a link to the picture, but you should be able to decipher this.

I really don't see the theme here, you got an image of the visible universe in the background in a realistic style, but then you have those abstract streaks on the edges as clock hands, what are they supposed to be? why are they hanging around at the moment of the big bang? And then you have the minimalist numbers in the center, which again, thematically clash with the background. Plus you have the step count up there, which doesn't make sense for a space themed watch face, I mean who counts steps in space? The same can be said of the battery meter, it's usually only there for like utility themed watch faces because usually there's no reason to be worrying about the battery, unless you want a utility look to it.

Oops, sorry I failed to explain the reason for this. Not intended for anyone to actually use. Just a demo of the multiple capabilities of this as watch face design software. I am participating on a Google Community board about all things associated with Gear S and Gear S2, including watch faces. A lot of discussion about different development tools including Mr. Time Maker and Photo Watch Pro. Discussion about what these have, and what they don't offer.
Gear Watch Designer has most of the features people have asked for. So I put together this watch face to demo the ability to use digital, analog, animation, and complications.
Reminds me of the days when I put together plastic model cars from kits and the package included a sheet of decals which had flames, stripes, numbers, and other things. I once thought I was supposed to use all the decals, and I covered that car. LOL, what a mess!

I have avoided Error 78 by not using the command line "sbd install..." command. Instead I use the Run On Device command to install on my watch from the GWD software.
This is the one I made, It's both digital and analog, I intended it to be just for private use but if you guys like it I can try and upload it to the appstore.
Two so far. Just started last night

Hi all,
I'm a player of Ingress and I've made a watchFace themed on resistance color.
For those how knows Ingress, the resonators disappears with battery drain.
The portal is a shortcut to batterie status and the day send you ton the calendar.
What do you think about?
Here's a few I've done with both live and ambient modes. As you can see, I've managed a fairly dynamic ambient mode with several. I won't be uploading these to the store as they do not contain enough original content (the first one is a direct copy of Clay: Epoch which is just not available in the Gear store for me otherwise I would buy it). The second is taken from watchawear (called Opulence) and reconfigured for the Gear S2. A couple are more original, but even the logo I'm using wasn't mine (from Partickss at freekpik).
One thing I am struggling with is creating action buttons. I can create them and edit them by adding a battery complication and deleting images and using the action button to do something different (for example on most of mine, tapping the date triggers my schedule), but can't figure out how to do it by just converting an image to an action button. Any idea?
My new Watchface for Gear S2, i'm waiting to post on SamsungGearApps Store:

My Latest Watch Face and Problem
My latest project is running into a bit of a problem. As you can see from my testing screen shot, the text is all rotated. It appears that there is a bug with rotated text that is tied to data synchronization (heart rate, battery level, steps taken). I can rotate this text, build the project and test the project. However when I load to my watch, these three fields are no longer rotated. Also, if I quit GWD and later return to this project, these fields show no rotation.
Yes, I am saving my project. Yes, I am testing my project. Yes, the build is using the updated and saved project with the fields rotated. Just does not stick. However, the rotation of digital clock fields works just fine.
I have reported this problem on the Samsung designer forum.
What it should look like:
What appears on my watch:

Hey everybody!
To God be the glory, I've been making some custom roms on XDA for a while, but I have decided to try to learn some new things by taking an app developer course. I've made a few apps, and I thought I would share them here as well. This app is open source, you are welcome to go to the Github and post issues, review and or copy the code (it is Apache-2.0 licensed), or download the app and enjoy!
These are my first apps, and I know they need a little improvement. So please feel free to leave a comment! But please remember, the best criticism is constructive.
If you do check out my Github, note that just about every line of my code includes a comment as to what it does or why it exists, so if you are like me and new to Android programming, be sure to check it out to see how it works! Also, in my Github are many "small apps" in the "apps_small" repo, which are apps I either made for the class, or made on the side to test out some feature or function. Hopefully that would be useful to someone.
Without further ado:
A simple, open source app that allows you to search posts on Craigslist.
This app allows you to search Craigslist and save on bandwidth at the same time. The search is only text, which presents you with a list of your search criteria. Then, when you select a posting that you wish to see, it will be displayed as normal in a special web view window. With simple colors and controls, this helps you focus on what is really important: the posts!
Other than the Craigslist postings, there are NO ADVERTISEMENTS!
This app allows you to save on mobile data, as only a small picture of the item is loaded with a price, date, and description (if provided by the poster). You can also click the web browser to open and view the full post if you desire!
You are welcome to stop by the Github (link in app) or website (link in app) to see progress for new features, or if you are into open source coding, you are welcome to submit pull requests and get involved!

One thing I would suggest immediately is to do away with that background and change the font color. A simple black background with white text would work better, but ideally a Material Design layout would be best!

MishaalRahman,
I have some thought to your proposal, and realized you are right, to a degree.
I happen to like the color scheme as is, but I realize that others may prefer something else. The sell cars in every color, so why not let just Craigslist come in more color options?
So, starting with version 1.6, you now have the choice of several colors for title bars, text, backgrounds, and buttons! There are also several pictures to choose from. So now you may have your preferred black background with white text, and I may have my cyan city! Everybody wins!
Thanks for the great suggestion! Please see OP for a few screenshots.

i test your app i think you should convert question mark ( ? ) button to search button ( ? ) and move help to top right.

Great suggestion. One problem though: if the user types anything, like a price or search criteria, then the keyboard covers that button. So if the search button was down there, the user would have to hit the back button to make the keyboard disappear, then hit the search button. Do you think that would confuse new users?

After some testing and feedback, it looks like you are right. I have added the search button to the bottom right, and I also added the feature that when you press the enter button on the keyboard after typing, it will search.

Use your notch as a battery bar in this live wallpaper.
I need someone to test this app on the Essential Phone. So if you install the trial version on the phone, adjust the size and post a picture(not a screenshot), I will give away pro version codes for the first 3 people.
Trial - Play store link
Paid - customizable - Play store link
Looks pretty awful, since it's designed for wide notches and we only got a "drop" of a notch...
Width: 200
Height: 150
Used settings:
Width: 220
Height: 160
After applying size adjustments to app, nothing happens.. all I see is the wallpaper, and the app wants me to change 5he wallpaper as well?
This is a very creative app; appreciate the ongoing work for this ?
Please give me code too.
210x155
I tried your app with a bunch of different settings to try to get one that works well with this phone.
width 170
height 129
Seems to work best for me.
One issue I have with it is the angle of the slope.
Is there any way you could simply make the highlighting properly follow the curve of the notch for this phone, rather than spread out (thicker) at the top and around the bend (bottom). FYI: I could never see the color band below the notch (as shown in your video for other phones).
Also, there should be a way to visualize any changes you make rather than going pixel by pixel to try to get to the perfect setting for your phone. --> Hit apply. --> Hit back. --> Hit preview. --> Realizing you have to change it again and again. --> Hit back. --> Hit edit. Change #s. --> Repeat.
Simply too many steps.
My guess is that the average user takes 10-15 tries to get to the correct-ish numbers for their specific device.
Suggestion:
I know it's a lot of work with so many phones, but maybe a submission key / option so you can begin to collect preset ranges that people are using for the most common phones.
Question:
Is there any way to implement this so that it overlays when you are using another app. Right now, it only shows on the home screen (wallpaper only).
Because of this, I can't use muzei
If you can do this, I'll happily buy it.
------
Feel free to PM a code if these suggestions are useful.

Interesting app. I just previewed the trial. I need to play a bit with the sizing though. I'm a little disappointed this is a live wallpaper though. I'd like to use a different live wallpaper. Is there no way to use this as an overlay or something, even with root?

Yes, we cannot use 2 live wallpapers at the same time. And the wallpaper needs to be live otherwise it wont be able to update itself.
