Permanent icon theme - Galaxy S 4 Themes and Apps

Hi guys.. Is there an app that make permanent my icon pack? For example: my icon pack includes the Facebook icon; when I flash my icon pack, the Facebook stock icon will be replaced by the mine but if I do any update of the Facebook's app, my modified icon will be replaced by the stock one. What should I do to make my icon pack permanent even if I do updates? Thanks

I can't understand what exactly do you want, but try Unicon from the store. It changes permanently the icon of any app

I meant: if I change the stock Facebook app icon with an another icon made by me, then, when I'll do an update of the Facebook app, my custom icon will be replaced by the Facebook's original one. Now, to use unicon I have to create an app. How can I create an app with my custom icons inside?

not possible because an custom rom can include facebook app .. the app then is stored in system/apps by the rom cook.. if a update occurs the update replaces the app and stores it to /data/app .. if you replace an icon in data/apps the app will be removed and renamed .. for example to data/app/com-facebook~.apk so any icon in it is stock ...

[Q] Change Icons in App Drawer?

Is it possible to change the icons within the App Drawer? I figured out you could just edit each .apk file when rooted, but I don't know for sure how to do that. And maybe there is just an easier method with a ROM. If the MIUI ROM would have that kind of option it would be awesome!
Also, Go Launcher EX (and probably more launchers) is capable of putting apps into folders in the app drawer. The icon of the folder is then a kind of preview of the apps within it. That is not really that bad, but it would be nice to be able to change the Go Launcher EX folder icons as well. Since there is no .apk file for the folder to change it with, I can't think of a way to do that.
In short, what I want is this: being able to create folders in the app drawer and change all icons (and also remove text beneath the icons) in the app drawer, including the folder icon.
I know, I am a nitpick, but I just want it all to match .
To change the icons in the app drawer you need to edit each and every apk file and change the innate icon therein.

Ok, so no easy way?
And about my other questions? I know it is possible to create folders in the app drawer with Go Launcher EX, but what you see isn't really an icon, it is a preview of the apps within it. And I suppose I can't change that, but it would be nice.
Or if there is another launcher/rom that can create folder in the app drawer (and then change the icon of that folder), that's OK too.

[Q] Replace app drawer icons

A few months ago i started an icon setfor my own use. I kept updating them and now I have enough to replace most of my app drawer icons.
I'm running brainmasters black cm9. I flashed the Minimal Icons Theme but there are to few icons available for my taste.
I managed to replace the system app icons with my own succesfully using the script but whenever I replace any normal app icon (like barcode scanner) the app dissapears from the drawer.
Anyone know how to go about flashing non-system app icons?

(Q) App to change icons

Is there any app that can be used to change individual icons within the app drawer (not the home screen). I should be able to change the individual app icons for my own liking. For instance within Apex u can change icons by long clicking on the app n choosing an icon, so I want the same functionality within the app drawer
Sent from my LT18i using xda app-developers app
A theme would do this, wouldn't it (which Apex supports) ?
It'll change icons like sms and Gmail like most app packs do. But not all apps are supported so you'll have some themed icons and some non themed in your drawer. I'm looking for something that's able to apply different icons to apps in the drawer too.

So the app I would need is one that would b able to change the non-themed icons...u may say tht the particular theme doesn't support sm icons bt if u look within the icon pack u will find tht the custom themes do exist but they haven't been changed within the app drawer

With Holo launcher or LiveHome (free app) => https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mo.android.livehome&hl=en
Try Nova launcher .
Sent with my Google Nexus 7 through the XDA Developers APP.
Here it is
Download the attachment app below or View its Detail
** HOW TO USE **
1. Execute ICON CHANGER
2. Choose application or activity to change icons
3. Choose an image from gallery / icon package
4. Icon will be changed!!!! :good: :fingers-crossed:
Cheers ! Cheers !
but don't forget to hit the sexy "Thanks" button below.
After icon packs have been loaded in your launcher ADW/APEX/HOLO/LIVEHOME there will be some apps that have not been supported.
There will be some themed icons and some unthemed icons in the app drawer.
You can apply a custom icon to any app on the home screen.
Icon changer only seems to change the icon for display on the home screen not the drawer
We are looking for an app that will ALSO change the app icon in the drawer.
I don't want to have to decompile each apk and change the icon manually. Is there an app or process that you will allow me to change apply icons for the home screen AND the drawer?

[Q] Google now launcher icon packs

Are there any?
I want to keep the launcher but change app icons. All icon packs I can find in the play store require the installation of a different launcher.
Icon Packs on the play store are installable. What you'd actually need to do is download actual images to use as icons (from NOT play store) and then use an app that creates shortcuts with custom images, then use THOSE shortcuts instead of the apps.
I used to do this using apps like "Desktop Visualizer". I'm not sure if this app still exists and if it does, whether it works on KK.
If you're using Xposed, you can try this out : http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-icon-themer-v1-5-winterboard-app-t2246783

I've been using this for a few years this to created custom icons...

Works fine with stock launcher, but one thing I've noticed on KK is that it seems that you need to make sure you don't already have the icon on one of your screens or it won't create the new one. So, say you're creating a new Chrome icon, remove the existing one first.
Thanks. Used the xposed method in the end. The icon themer is now called unicon.
However, I can't find a way of changing individual icons with this, I can only install icon packs.
If your ROM has the new CM theme manager it works EXACTLY like Unicon, but without the need for Xposed and you don't need to restart apps like it prompts you to in Unicon. Also themes system wide in the same way.

XGELS now allows you to use icon packs.

That's the only downside to Unicon. It's cool that it themes the icons system-wide, but you can't change individual icons if the icon pack doesn't have an icon for a certain app. It just applies random masking.

Yeah. I'm thinking I may finally switch to using XGELS for my icon theming (instead of Unicon) when the ability to change individual icons is added, which the dev is currently working on.

[Q] Stock launcher, individual icon change

I have rooted my device, Nexus 5, and I want to change my icons but keep my default launcher. I found Unicon but as far as I can see it can apply icon packs but not change icons one by one. Is there any application that can do it?
Try icon changer by junyeong its free! This is the app youve definitely need for! You can decorate the app's icon... or you can use junyeong's icon package for icon changer! Or you can use other launcher's icon pack!
PS: it only decorates or customize the app icon on the home screen. It does not change app icon in the app drawer ..
