[Q] Need Help From Developers - HTC Pico (Explorer)

I need help to Increase my HTC Explorer's internal memory using Mounts2sd. to be precise I am stating below what methods I have already tried :-
NOTE: I have already rooted my device and already installed TWRP Recovery ( I have also tried below mentioned methods on CWM recovery too)
1: First I booted into recovery and did a factory reset, wiped cache, wiped data, wiped dalvick cache, wiped system etc.
2: after that I partitioned my sd card through recovery ( partition size 1gb, swap 0)
3: Then I installed cm 10
4: rebooted into system
5: Rebooted again into recovery
6: installed gapps package for cm 10
7: rebooted again into system
8: Then I installed mounts2sd from playstore.
9: opened mounts2sd a screen appeared asking to configure busybox and ti install init.d startup script.
10: I tried both but both failed with errors.
SECOND METHOD
1: First I booted into recovery and did a factory reset, wiped cache, wiped data, wiped dalvick cache, wiped system etc.
3: Then I installed cm 10
4: rebooted into system
4: installed mounts2sd NOTE : This time I did not flashe gapps yet.
5: opened mounts2sd and configured busybox successfully and also installed init.d script successfully.
6: configured mounts2sd
7: Rebooted system android system upgraded
8: upon checking internal memory was increased to 1gb.
9: rebooted into recovery
10: flashed gapps
11: rebooted and again that android upgrading screen appeared with optimizing apps 1 of 20
12: but after that process was completed the CyanogenMod Loading screen reappeared instead of going into system. and that screen never ends until i remove battery.
Kindly guide me through this issue and let me know how can I increase internal memory and at the same time I also want to use gapps too. Developers are humbly requested to plz solve this issue for me
Thanks.
NOTE: I have also tried different ROMs too and nothing helped.

[Q] Unable to Install Gingerbread Stable Edition RC1 on to my Zpad

Hi guys, I am wondering if anyone can help out. I am trying to flash Gingerbread stable edition RC1 on to my Zpad/G Tab but I am have a lot of difficulty. About 4 months ago, I installed Vegan5.1 on to my Zpad using cwm, I managed to install and all went well. Yesterday I decided to install Gingerbread on to my Zpad, I followed the same steps when I flashed Vegan 5.1, But when I rebooted, it starts up but does not boot up, it seems to hang at the initial starting phase. I followed the same steps that I used when I installed Vegan5.1.
Eventually, I decided to go back to Vegan 5.1, I tried the same method that I have been using to install Gingerbread and it worked like clockwork.
So I am now back with Vegan until I can work out how to install Gingerbread.
I am at a loss.
Here is the sequence that I used when flashing the Gingerbread ROM.
CWM internal MOD v 2.5.1.1-bekit-0 already installed
Booted in to cwm
partitioned SD card”, first option 2048, then second option used 0
Rebooted back in to cwm v08
In mounts and storage set to unmount system and unmount /data
Selected install zip from sdcard and choose zip from sd card and pressed home
Selected gingerbread ROM
Installed ROM
Received the message "install zip from sdcard complete"
Back to cwm menu
Set to unmount system and unmount /data
Selected wipe data/factory reset, Navigated down to “Yes – delete all user data”, and select it to wipe out user data and all the cache.
Then selected reboot.
The unit then starts and hangs on the bootup logo and does not proceed.
If anyone can be so kind as to help out, I would be most grateful. So to recap, I have Vegan 5.1 installed, tried to flash Gingerbread using cwmv8, when I reboot, it wont go past the initila logo and appears to hang.
Thanks All for the help

Strange Bootloop!

I install ResurrectionRemix M v5.7.2 and gapps 6.0 to my phone through TWRP. it was good. But later i decided to install AospExtended-v3.1 . I took the zip file into my USB Removable disk as my phone didn't have any external storage so that i could install it with the help of OTG cable!
I install AospExtended-v3.1 and gapps 7.1 successfully from TWRP recovery . when it is 'done' i tapped on 'Reboot to system'. I don't know why, my phone goes into bootloop though i installed various ROMS in this process but i wasn't face this problem before!
Anyway then i wiped all data and decided to go back to my previous ROM. I Installed ResurrectionRemix M v5.7.2 through TWRP. it was installed successfully and i thought now that looping problem will resolve, but after successful completion of installing ResurrectionRemix M v5.7.2 when i reboot to system there still the bootloop problem!
Then i though i should go back to my STOCK ROM. I download MIUI 6.7.5_5.0_global fastboot ROM and using miflash tool with proper ADB drivers installed i flash my phone. It was again completed successfully, then i thought this time the bootloop problem will resolve! But no! My phone still stuck into bootloop.
whatever installing process(TWRP/Fastboot) i followed, i am unable to solve this Strange bootloop issue! What should I do?
i am also facing this problem, wht i do i cant understand, pls anyone hlp me to take out from this situation
Try these.
1. Boot into twrp
2. Wipe System, Data, dalvik, cache ( Don't wipe system storage )
3. Connect USB disk
4. Copy desired ROM into internal storage using the file manager given in TWRP.
5. Flash ROM locating the zip in internal storage.
6. Wipe Cache/Dalvik.
Your phone should now boot successfully.

custom Rom install never works!

Hey guys,
General custom Rom question. Each time I install any custom, following the directions 100% it will never install properly. No matter what when I reboot back into TWRP it doesn't mount data.
Here's some instructions for an example from the latest one I tried Havok.
What am I doing wrong?
How to install
+ if you are coming from OOS then you will need to wipe your data as well as internal storage due to encrypted data but if you had any custom ROM before then just wipe data. No need to wipe internal storage.
for updating
1: Flash ROM
2: Flash TWRP installer
3: reboot again to recovery to boot from second slot.
4: Flash Gapps
5: Flash magisk
6: wipe dalvik cache and reboot to system.
That's all.
use tool all in one to decrypt internal storage

GT-N8000 google services framework keeps stopping with any ROM after Encryption error

After installing a ROM & Gapps, my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 3G & WiFi (N8000) boots into the initial setup but Clock, Calendar, Google Services Framework keeps stopping, can't complete the setup or do anything else.
Initially flashed Resurrection Remix Nougat v.5.8.5 ROM on the GT-N8000 with same steps as below without any issues, the initial setup and all google apps worked flawlessly but a day or so later was greeted with "Encryption unsuccessful" error upon booting. Went into TWRP, wiped everything, changed File system for Cache, System and Data from EXT4 to FAT, flashed ROM again with steps below, restarted and got stuck in the ROM's loading logo, loads/loops infinitely (waited over half an hour). Went back and changed back FAT to EXT4, flashed ROM again and this time it successfully got past the logo but started getting the Google framework stopping error.. someone please tell me there's something that can be done..
Steps I take
Boot into recovery TWRP 3.4.0-0
Wipe > Format Data & Factory Reset
Advanced Wipe > Wipe everything
Install ROM
Wipe Cache & Dalvik
Install Gapps
Wipe Cache & Dalvik
No errors during either of the installations, click Reboot into system
Loads into setup wizard, Google Services Framework keeps stopping continuously
Installing from Internal memory, no sd card. Installation process: https://imgur.com/a/zibaMTw
Have tried Current & Older releases of gapps (ARM-7.1-pico/nano) with multiple different downloads, same result
Cache - EXT4
System - EXT4
Data - EXT4
Micro SD card (N/A) - VFAT
USB OTG - VFAT
Have tried these ROMs with multiple downloads, same result
Resurrection Remix Nougat v.5.8.5
Slimroms Slim7
LineageOS 14.1 Nougat
Have no idea what to do at this point, anyone has a solution?
Thank you
SOLVED, read below
Solved
For those who may experience similar issue..
Downloaded Stock ROM N8000XXUDNE5_N8000OLBDNE3_XXV , Flashed with ODIN, rebooted and successfully got through with no google errors and worked without any issues.
Then started everything from beginning, Installed TWRP 3.4.0 with Odin, booted into Odin recovery, did all the format data, advanced wiped everything
Downloaded Slimroms Slim7 and latest Gapps ARM > 7.1 > pico put it on internal storage, Installed Slim7 ROM > Wipe Cache & Dalvik > Installed Gapps > Wipe Cache & Dalvik, rebooted back into system and got to setup wizard with no errors, was able to set it up and it's working perfectly now..
In short just had to flash back to stock rom and start the custom rom install from the beginning.
Here's to hoping I don't get another "Encryption unsuccessful" error in a day or so..

Recover soft brick w/o data loss - After failed dirty flash?

Hi All,
I'd urgently need confirmation and/or tipp from seasoned "brick recovery artists" ;-)
Key questions:
(a) In the scenario presented below, can I recovery from soft brick without loosing data (incl. encrypted external sdcard)?
(b) If no - is there a way to recover directly from a TWRP backup (to pre-encryption status)?
Thanks a million!
-----the issue------
To dirty flash to my S9+ rooted and encrypted device, I tried to perform a dirty flash. See CustomROM thread here.
How the issue unfolded:
1. downloaded the latest v7.4
2. moved v7.4 install file to external sd
3. booted into twrp and performed system partition backup (system image, system, recovery, boot)
4. initiated via twrp a dirty flash
4.1 received error messager after 1 second: damaged zip file
5. rebooted into sysem - WORKED
5.1 realized my SDcard was not mounted and the system tried to "encrypting sdcard 10%/11%/..."
5.2 shut down system immediately
6. repeated step 5 with same results
7. booted into twrp and tried to restore from backup (system image, system, recovery, boot)
7.1 received error message "extracttarfork() process ended with error=255"
8. rebooted into system and rebooted into twrp
9. performed full restore only "system image"
10. booted into system - same as before, in step 5; immediately shut down
11. tried to boot into twrp without success; bootloader 1 error message: "could not do normal boot. INVALID KERNEL LENGTH"
I am a bit screwed here, i think?
the funny thing is that
(a) a OS boot still required me to enter my encryption pin
(b) the OS itself had no sdcard access/mounting issues apparently, same for TWRP partially. HOWEVER, the TWRP system backup was stored on my external SD card - How was TWRP even able to perform a restore from it, if it could not read /data and the sdcard in the first place?
solved. Please close
