Addchildsk8er have you tried Mobytube? I find that Mobytube has a much better playback (video&audio) compared to Vtap. I would suggest you give Mobytube a try and compare the 2 and see which one you like better. I have posted the link to Mobytube below, just follow the online directions on how to install the software for your mobile device.
If you don't like this option you can always go into the tools settings on Vtap found at the bottom right hand corner. Just click on tools and a drop down menu will appear scroll down to where you see options. Click on options and a dialog box will appear with more options. At this point look for the media option and this is where you can tweak your audio & video settings. Good luck..

Go to the website on your cell phone and under the word "Top" type in the box what your looking for. Right above the word search there is another box just click on the drop down button and it will give you several options. Scroll down to youtube and click on it and then hit search. it will give you all the media file for the word you searched for in youtube. Just click on the file u want and it should play through your tcpmp player. Hopefully this helps. Good luck...

Would have thought that would need a major redesign of the app. You can find out a video's name by opening it, pressing stop, then selecting the right menu button and finally properties.

ohh... that's a plenty of work. and uncomfortable... takes a lot of time...
I've noticed on my friend's N900 that there are names under the thumbnails in video gallery and found it VERY good, especially if you have a lot of trailers, movies, music videos... never know where's the video you're lookin' for, unless you have a name of video written...
Question for you guys...
I stream music from my phone while I work out, using Amazon Music. On my AW watch, once music is playing, it is always on the active watch face (change track, volume, etc). On the Gear, if I open the music app, I get the same features (even the cover art), but when the face times out, the app closes. Is there a way to get it stay on until I close it? It's handy to have running while I am working out.
Thanks!
I'm not sure if this helps, but my BeyondPod podcast app stays on my S3 music player widget after I initiate it on the paired S6 phone. Have you tried using the music player widget?

I have not, I'm more familiar with Android Wear. I will see if I can figure that out. You mean set it as one of the programs you can quickly access from the bezel?

Yes there's a music widget app. I have mines set up to be the first widget from my watch face for easy access. Any time you play music from your phone from mostly any app it will show up controls for it. Weather its the stock music app, YouTube, Spotify, play music, or SoundCloud to name the few I use it will show up. Just go all the way to the right of your watch fave with the bezel scroll and it will have the option to place a new widget and just hold the widget when place to move it around

This!! Music controls are essential. I also went from AW and this has been my biggest issue. I would have loved the watch to keep the app open, any app for that matter, until I chose otherwise.
My "fix" has been to add the music player app to open with the double click action, but it's still a pain.
Also, rotating the bezel to skip songs instead of volume, seems kind of redundant in my eyes, as there are already buttons for that on the screen.
so if I am tracking, you have to rotate to the widget each time you want to manipulate the music? am I getting it right? there is no "stay active" portion of the music player?
thanks all

It would seem that way. I really hope someone finds a fix for this.

It really shouldn't be that difficult either. I'm new to Tizen, but as far as I can understand, it was a feature they removed.
This doesn't really help solve the issue, but another way to get to the music player quickly is to swipe down from the top (12 o'clock position) of the watch face to get to the "quick settings." There you will see a music note - touch it and it brings up the music player.

Thanks While it's nice to have a shortcut there, you still have to navigate to that button every time, which is a hazzle. It seems we just have to wait till Samsung hopefully brings an update to fix this.
request it as a feature through samsung's help system, this can be found in the Samsung gear app in the help options.
i requested it there before I found this thread.

Thank you! :good: Didn't know they had that. Do you think they will actually listen?
big companies only listen to big noise, so it's unlikely they'll do anything unless more people suggest this.
thephonus directed my attention to this little tool in another thread: http://apps.samsung.com/gear/appDetail.as?appId=suQANKUenM
it's a decent temporary solution, while active it disables the standby/AOD timer.
you should be careful though, as it also prevents burn-in protection from activating (shifting pixels, low light)
Hi Friends
I have quation.
Which depends on the video(only video sound) plays in the background like to GPS,menu, settings, like playing radio, music.
My device is a Erisin ES9782A

You want a video player that you can still hear while using other apps, right? Try MX Player: https://www.xda-developers.com/best-of-xda-mx-player/
In the settings there are options for background play which keep the video going even when you can't see it. :highfive:
Let me know if this is what you're after and I can close the thread.

I wouldn't know, sorry. It could just be that it's not powerful enough to cope with what you're trying to do.
I suggest asking in here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android-auto/android-head-units/generic-android-headunit-erisin-es8990a-t3112976
This is a thread about the head unit and there are people posting in it who actually owned it. You're more likely to get a detailed answer there.
Even as an 5+ years' MX Player Pro user, I still struggle with the limited options available for the end of video behaviour, which are:
(a) return to the media list, or
(b) run into the next unrelated video(*).
They go well along with media junky habits. However, both options feel awkward if you want a smooth, immersive, zero distraction experience, watching nothing but this one deeply moving masterpeace, today.
There definitely should be an option that
(c) simply halts playback at the end, showing a still image of the last frame
- just as you see a still image of the first frame at the beginning, i. e. before starting playback.
I'm stunned that apparently, this natural preference is neither considered nor discussed (publicly). I would greatly appreciate if it was implented!
Thank you!

It's a trip no one has responded to this. I have exactly this same wish. Every other video player I've used has an option to simply stop the video at the end or repeat it. MX Play has neither option. Don't
know why.

Thanks for your valuable comments. We would like to let you know that MX Player already has the option to loop the current file. Request you to enable the loop one function from the quick shortcuts on the screen or from the play menu.
With regards to stopping it on the last frame, we regret to inform you that it is not prioritised as we found it useless in most of the common use cases and will unnecessarily keep the decoder component active. However, you can enable the "back to list option" to close the player and return to file list on completion of the playback.
Trying to get used to this app and just can't do it. As far as I can tell this app wants you to do everything within the app like start a movie for example. It doesn't work as well when starting a video from outside the app. For example clicking on a movie from say the Gallery app. After playing a video, I want it to return to the app I came from but mxplayer wants to return to it's own videos list. I have tried to get a refund but the option is no longer there in the Google Play Store. I have uninstalled this app. Can I get a refund?
Edit: Never mind, got a refund. I'm good.
