[Q] How do i unbrick my Sero 7 Pro? - General Questions and Answers

Ok, I'm going to condense this as much as possible. Rooted Sero with XboXpert's root(props to XboXpert). Decided to try a custom ROM and only could find Randomblame's taKtiK ROM. Tried to flash a few times with no success. Then ONLY after enabling encrytion on the tablet did i first get an error message that ClockworkMod could not read external SD card.(Oh Sh*t!) From there i could not recover my backup. Edited asserts in updater-script file to fix status 7 error i began to get.
1. Does anyone know where i can get the ClockworkMod update(6.0.4.4) for Hisense Pro?
2. I can get into Fastboot, so is there a way that i can flash a ROM from there?
3. Is there a TWRP alternative?

First want to apologize for misspelling of Xboxexpert's name and second want to give another HUGE thanks to Xboxexpert because soon after my initial post i searched and found his stock OS zip files online. This is what these forums are all about. People helping other people. So for those who may have the same problem I'm posting the stock ROM zip files below(just for search purposes). If you want to see the complete instruct, go to: http://www.androidtablets.net/forum/sero-7-pro/60523-xboxexperts-root-instructions.html
My Sero 7 Pro is back up and running and i thank all who even glanced at this post.

[Q] Having problems with recovery (LS980)

So I finally decided I wanted to flash custom roms on my new phone (Sprint LG G2). I did some research on the pros and cons and the risks and thought I was smart enough with tech that I could figure it out. I was able to root no problem, it was really easy to just follow the top root thread step by step. Now I'm trying to install a recovery method to backup my stock rom and flash new roms and I'm finding it really difficult. I'm following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522965
I chose this one because it is up towards the top of the forum. I installed flashify and set the recovery image to the latest version of twrp (2.6.3.3) like OP suggested. I then backed up the stock recovery and the restore kernel in flashify. I rebooted recovery and there is an error. I read through the post and someone suggested using the previous twrp recovery image (2.6.3.2). Now it works, I immediately backed up the stock rom (with root). Now I'm worried about flashing a ROM when it says to use the most up to date twrp (which I don't have and I'm not sure how to update it now). Also I'm incredibly frustrated because I've reached my flash limit in Flashify because I was switching between different versions of twrp. I'm also worn out reading through posts to figure out how to get my recovery working and up to date. It's taken me like 3 hours now to get where I am. Can I install custom ROMs on an out dated version of twrp? Are there additional risks? Any information or resources on the recovery would be much appreciated.

(Solved) HELP! I need Stock image to be CWM flashble

Hi'

[Completed] [Q] Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Upgrade to KitKat or lollipop

Hi Experts,
I want to upgrade my samsung galaxy note GT-N7000.
After reading on how to install custom rom to N7000. I tried one of the way to install the Custom Rom using Install from Zip using SD card.
Steps i have performed to install custom rom are mentioned below:
1. I have install one app to root my phone.
2. Checked with the help of MD5File checkup to confirm that my phone is rooted or not and found that my phone has been rooted.
3. I have gone to developer option and checked USB Debugging.
4. I have not installed any backup tool for the current recovery.
5. i have copied the N7000 CWM Nightly rom which is for KitKat, but it failed in the verification and errored with Status 7.
6. Then with some other roms its failing in status 6.
8. At last one rom Slimsaber got passed in the verification and removed the current rom but while installing or mounting its rom it failed....(This action is performed using Install using Zip from SD Card)
Result was that my phone got hung on the logo. But some how i managed to installed one korean rom on the phone which was having a older version i.e. 4.0.3 and its update was not available so i got my phone updated with the stock rom of 4.1.2 version from samsung store. So now its back to where i have started
Query:
1. Is that the reason i have not installed a custom recovery tool for the existing rom in case the new rom fails (I have missed 4th point: Is there any best app that backup for current stock rom)
Request:
1. Can you guys please tell me which is the ROM that works for N7000 India version for Kitkat and Lollipop(If available)
2. Please suggest the rom that works with Odin because i have bad exp with installing from SDcard. If possible please provide a link for that tar file.
Really appreciate your support and thanks in advance.

You should install/flash a custom recovery and make a complete system (nandroid) backup directly in the custom recovery.
There are some other apps, which can create an Online Nandorid backup (just check Play store), but some apps are not compatible with all devices and to restore such a backup, you will need a custom (CWM or TWRP) recovery anyway.
To get best advices about custom recovery, ROMs, etc. for your device, please ask in the Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > [FAQ] [Q&A] [Noob Friendly] HELP THREAD - POST ALL YOUR SUPPORT QUESTIONS HERE thread.
P.S.: To install/flash a custom ROM provided as zip file, you usually need a custom recovery. Stock recovery only flashed signed zip file (e.g. official OTA update files from Samsung).

Need a FLASHABLE build.prop file! (STOCK ROM) (STUCK ON BOOTLOOP)

Hello guys,
I am running on STOCK Cyanogen OS 12 on Android 5.0.2 on my YU Yuphoria. I have rooted my device and I have TWRP installed. SO it all started when I messed around with the build.prop file. I did not take the backup of the file and I went forward with changing the Android Version of my phone to "6.0" And guess what, now I'm in an endless bootloop. I require a zip file of the build.prop which could be flashed via TWRP. Also, I do not want to loose ANY data. I am really worried about this and I'd be glad if anyone out there could help me with the "FLASHABLE ZIP" of "build.prop" that I could flash via TWRP recovery.
Please reply as soon as possible.
Writing with GREATEST of hopes.
Thanks in advance,
Akshat

After intalling cm11, Android version got upgraded from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4. I was happy and exited for some period. after few days felt the earlier os was better as it had video recording and FM player. so wiped the phone to install stock rom of Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus but couldn't as the error occurs shows as mentioned below:
E : Unable to mount ' /system'
Please Help........
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
When you flashed TWRP did you make a nandroid backup of your stock ROM in TWRP? Making backups in custom recovery is the most valuable part of having custom Recovery. If you did make the backup of stock then all you need to do is select the restore option in TWRP and restore your nandroid and you should be fixed.
If you didn't make the backup then you'll have to download your stock firmware and flash it via PC and your device's compatible flashtool.
you should find what you need in the thread linked below in post #3.

If you have questions of how to use what you find in that thread, you can post in that thread or you can post in the forum linked below.
