After trying to port ARC SMS app to CM 6 I thought it would be better to do the other way. Because porting app from is not that easy.

Since these mods are being used in several other roms and confirmed working I changed the title a little bit.
Modified Contacts.apk Contacts_t.zip
Now all the contact.apk windows use the blue background.

Settings.apk Settings_t.zip
There are some settings like call settings CM settings which are still black. Relevant apk files should be edited to get them use the background image.
This version should be Framework independent so it might work on other ROMs too. But I'm not sure as I didn't check. You can change the background by replacing settings_bg.png

Works perfect for me, just flashed Phone and Callscreen, combinet with Go Dialer we have a really nice phoning experience

Seems to work flawlessly, but the first boot took quite a while...

if i just flash the phone plus contacts apk i will retain my black status bar right?

I´ve tested GoDialer + GoContacts and they're very smooth. Only thing keeping me away from it is that i don't want to have 2 apps for the samething on the phone. There is anyway to remove the original dialer and contact book without breaking everything else?

I don't know if you can remove it, but for me it doesn't matter. i don't think it would consume more battery if you have both on your phone. you can also set the default action for missed calls etc to go dialer and as i nearly never use the appdrawer, it never gets in mi sight . sorry for my bad english, my native language is german

i also would like to see a black version or some styles to choose from, so it really matches the theme from Wolfbreak. I just seen enough blueness from SE

We'll see. I'm having exams till next friday. I'll release a black version also after that.
and I'm hoping to mod the SMS app and settings app also to use a background, we'll see how it goes.

Very nice, if you can make it with Settings and SMS too it would be very good. In the first Pic the left Button doesnt look like the others can you fix this? I will include this in my next ROM if you have nothing against it becouse i like it alot.

I flashed it and it didn't look like that when flashed. The right backspace button did, but only until you typed numbers then it looked like the others

The left button is disabled because voice mail is deactivated in the phone. It will be same as others if you have voice mail activated.

Very nice work, its nice to have something other than stock android. I have a request though, along with the all black, can you rerelease the blue but make it just not modify the status bar? That'd be great of you, thanks.

you can flash only contacts_phone.zip and it will only modify those parts of your phone, not the status bar, wtc..

Tested on Z's Free X10 Beta4!

I'm working on it!
At the moment it gives me a blank black page on the second page when I try. But I'll keep working on it

Did a little digging and it turns out that it's the small horizontal notification toggle bar that is inflated into the large toggle page.
This means that it's not possible to hide the small bar through the xml (Which also explains why I get the black page when hiding the small toggle row).
I'll take a look at the smali after my exams (It's gotta be in there), but for now this is what you get
If anyone has any ideas or wants to help me with the smali edit, just PM me or write here.

Just flashed it on my gs4. Irritation gone! Suddenly I love my device more, after almost dumping it because of these annoying quick settings. You are a superstar! Do you have exactly same solution, but for galaxy note 2 and galaxy note 10.1? I'm also deeply frustrated there:good:

Regarding note 2 and note 10.1 you probably should find one who owns the device. Wouldn't want to release anything that I couldn't test myself

I have always liked the pull-down quick toggles like Samsung and LG feature on their 'skinned' phones. Is there anything available like that for our phone that DOESN'T involve installing a new ROM?

Not that I am aware of as I am using that mod. It just lets you manipulate the toggle panels. Doesn't offer any 'quick toggles' addition to the notification tray.

Cataclysm is stock rom with extra toggles options so you wouldn't have to wipe data if that's what you're worried about

I'll have to look into that eventually. I've spent quite a while getting everything just the way I want it. You know how that is.

Yes, for some reason it wants to force us to keep a notification icon while we have it enabled AND it's not very intuitive as far as adding/removing toggles. If it weren't for that.....

i was talking about the gravity box notification toggles, not the app one.

I've dozens of them. I have to scroll and I've shrunk them. Xposed gravity box is what you need. You can program 2 to what you want

I have plenty of the two finger swipe tiles, that's not what I am looking for. This is basically what I am looking for.

If you drag the app from the launcher to app info, you can hide the notification, I believe.

The whole app is a notification. So, if I turn those off, I won't see the toggles either.

You are right about the first part - the notification icon. Because I have a battery icon on the left side of the notification area anyway, I guess it doesn't make a difference to me (since I can have the power toggles icon show the battery level instead).
Adding/removing toggles is fairly easy though - just open the power toggles app, and customize away.
But in the end, what matters is what works for you, and if power toggles doesn't work for you, it doesn't

You can change the notification position to not pinned and no icon. under customize.

Cataclysm got closed because it was just getting non stop replies asking where the dev was, because he basically adds his editions to stock rom and leaves it at that. It even states an update will come when Google release a new version to go off. Some people just want to flash a rom every 3 hours tho or they're not happy

PLEASE NOTE: Since these Softkeys are targeted at non-root users, the icon for "recent apps" is used instead of the "menu" buttons. This might not please everybody, but if you want me to change it, just request it!
The icons used in the first version for Quickmemo and Notification panel drop-down are grey AOSP ones. If you want the "original" where Recents, back and home are Android L-themed, please look further below.

Installation instructions
After installing the APK, go into "Settings", "Display", "Front Touch Buttons" and lastly go into "Colour". Then either pick AOSP vPro97 Softkeys or AOSP Softkeys (depending on which one you downloaded).
The only way to make these custom icons stick on home screen on a non-rooted device is by disabling transparancy in Settings-Screen-Touch Buttons menu. With a rooted device, install either G2Tweaksbox or G3Tweaksbox depending on which rom you are using. These custom icons work on both G2 roms and G3 ported roms and you can easily uninstall it again.

Possibly an utterly daft question, and I should frankly know better. But, I assume being rooted wont be a problem to having these?
Also, as I use g2 Tweaksbox and xposed and bleed immersive mode etc, would that all work with these icons?

Great softkeys, pls make 'normal' edition where recent is recent button and menu ise menu...

You might have to disable G2 xposed or at least the nav bar options. It seems it overrides the stock front touch button options. In G2 xposed you just load png images of each key and it will not work with the TweaksBox options.
Edit- I haven't used bleed immersive. I was thinking of tinted status bar option in TweaksBox which works the same. Not sure how it will work with BIM...

Disabled the nav bar settings and tried installing again. Took me to the buttons menu in settings. They werent there to choose, will prob leave it for now, am just getting impatient for L already ha ha.

They are labeled AOSP VPro97 or something like that.

Yeah I'm sorry, I don't know how to rename them just yet. I'm hoping to learn that before my next batch of softkeys!

I did uninstall, but thats not the problem?

I uninstalled the old one and the new one installed for me. Are you on an LG based Rom?
Didn't notice a change besides the apk title though...

I am on cloudyg3, first one worked normal for me, but for second it just says app is not installed

[MOD][Xposed] Sense 6 Transparent Recents

N.B. This might be outdated now, and it's not being worked on anymore as I sold my M8.
Requires the Xposed Framework
This mod shows the status bar in Recent Apps screen on Sense 6. Also makes the status & navigation bar transparent.
Only tested on One M8 Sense 6.

Navigation bar is working correctly as far as I know, it's like that because of HTC's overlay for transparent bars.
But your action bar is obviously not right, which is because another module is modifying it I'm guessing? Can you tell me which mod adds that RAM bar?

I edited navigation bar using dimensions editor (module) and ram bar from viperOneM8 ROM
EDIT: i disabled ram bar and now your module is working great

Okey, good Was going to say it would be difficult to make a fix for it since there is no source code for Viper.

but with my M7 I got this spacing:
This is probably caused because I haven't the navigation bar.

I'm on Verizon htc one M7 (w/nav bar enabled). And it's working good! Great job

I've uploaded a new version that might work, so if you could confirm it would be great.
One thing I noticed is that the top row gets a little cut off for me as well (not as much as you though). I'll probably fix it in the future, by re-sizing everything, whenever I get the time.
But personally it's hardly noticeable.
