I just finished asking a question about this too. The regular Email app is not working right? or are you talking about the Gmail app?
well i couldn't get the network to work(4g/3g) but i was able to make phone calls, so i uninstalled it for now.
With the couple hours i spent tinkering with CM7 i fell in love with it, i will keep checking on the updates for a more stable version.

Im my experience CM7.1 is not really stable yet on the G2x. I guess that depends on your definition of stable, but I was having a lot of problems, even with the release canditate. I absolutely loved CM on my nexus one, but it might be better to wait for a stable build for this phone unless your helping out with bug tracking and what not.
Yeah that's what i'm going to do, wait for a stable build.
no email in general, gmail or email.
im on nightly 114 and no problems at all

Just wanted to know if any of the devs would be interested in porting the Ubuntu Touch over to our One XL's. I'm not a dev at all (I know absolutely zero coding), but came across this post on the XDA homepage. Thought it would be kinda cool for us to have Ubuntu touch ported over to our device as well.
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/porting-ubuntu-touch-is-as-simple-as-building-cm/
Would love to see it if anyone knows how to get it ported over.
Thanks in advance to anyone that does!

Hmm... I may just do this. I've got a machine available that could make quick work out of it. Just need to install Ubuntu on it first, that's the challenge. I'll update in a little while.

They make it seem pretty simple to get set up so long as you have CM10.1 working for your device, so hopefully that's the case. Ubuntu is installing right now, fingers crossed it doesn't have any issues along the way.

Just a heads up, it looks, unsurprisingly, like Ubuntu's servers are getting hammered right now. I'm only getting about 150 KBps from the, though it could also be my sometimes flaky internet connection here too. It's gonna take a little while to pull everything at this speed.

Yeah, it sounds like it's barely even able to work as a phone. We'll have to see how quickly they are working on it. Hopefully it'll be actually usable before too long.
Unfortunately, I'm STILL trying to pull the source. I mean, it's ridiculously slow. I'm under 100 KBps now. I was hoping to get something running today because I don't know that I'll have time to work on it over the weekend. We'll have to see.
Update: Yeah, some 5-6 hours later we're STILL downloading. Nothing for today. I'm going to try to get back to it tomorrow or Sunday if I have time. Hopefully by then it will have finished downloading, haha.

Wow, this dropped all the way to page 4. I didn't even realize this section was that busy, haha. Well, I unfortunately didn't get any time to come in and mess with this over the weekend, but my source pull failed before completing, and now every time I try to start it back up, it just fails again saying the remote end hung up unexpectedly. I'll check back later and see if they get it fixed.

At the moment, I've gotten back into a busy cycle at work, and my computer is broken at home (I'm down to an iPad and my phone), so I haven't been able to play with it. Hoping to get my computer up and running as soon as I can get some parts ordered. I can't really be upset, I've been using that system for over 5 years now and it's been running like a damn champ! Goodbye ridiculously old Opteron 165. Maybe one of these other guys might have an interest in getting it running.
Did think it was that easy.... had the tablet for 6 months and didn't bother unlocking or rooting cause it looked annoying, can't believe I didn't do it earlier now. I wouldn't say its a completely new tab experience, but I can say Im not thinking about getting s nexus 10 anymore. So if you feel your infinity isnt on par... unlock and root. It's worth it.

I couldn't agree more. Actually I was in the same position and state of mind... You know, all about "what about my warranty etc.".
By the end, I got pissed not using the TF700 just because it was laggy and not as expected. The basic thought was just that I bought a device for 700€, I just need to use it at it's utmost, or at least as I would like to use it.
I took the risk to root, on CM10.1 Nightly. Well, that was quite fast and now it's a new tablet. As Jojo said it definitively worth the switch to a custom rom.
For those who are afraid, as I was, please note that "custom rom" can no more be related to "unstable and testing". There is really reliables and stables release from highly qualified programmers (CM10,AOKP/AOSP, CROMI....).
Unless you only use the tablette to listen music without touching I really recommend to jump on a CRom.

Anyone who thinks that the nexus 10 is a good replacement for the infinity is nuts. I work in a tech store and have access to the nexus 10 and the ipad 4 (or ipad retina), the infinity dances circles around them and is way more productive. The infinity can replace laptops, unless you need high end software to edit videos, pictures, or data (stats software). The development on the infinity also rivals any other device out there. If you install CROMI you will understand, it has better support and updates than any other ROM out there. It also squashes them in terms of performance. At this point no software on my infinty is stock other than apps, and i couldnt be happier. Not many devices have a custom bootloader, kernel, governors, scheduler, ROM, theme, and UI mods that work to create a comprehensive and kickass system.
Agreed
I am with you, I only had my tablet for a month or two before not being able to stand it. But once I put CleanRom on it, it flies. Makes it worth it all the more, and those who have not done it yet, are missing out. However, before doing anything make sure you spend lots and lots of time looking up on how to do so!!!

I lasted 6 weeks and got pissed off with the constant native browser crashes..several sites that I frequent have Flash and only the native browser supports it properly. Didn't care about the warranty really, it is only for a year and it looks like I've got a decent device.
After I got over the "scared to break something", it was quite easy. Now just to keep up with the CROMI updates. It doesn't take long to patch at least.

If you're having Flash issues, try Boat Browser. Flash works perfectly. It's nice to watch a CNN stream nice and smooth in Flash on this big screen.
So I haven't seen anything related to the topic, but the download link to the ROM for the Nexus 5 brings up a 404, a site specific search of Hammerhead brings up nada (google.com/#q=site:codenameandroid.com+hammerhead), and they haven't made a post since Jan 7th (http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=252675652). This is nothing new, CNA does this every time they 'come back'. The project is probably already dropped. Cna is very unreliable.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Yeah this is like the 4th or 5th time he's pulled the same exact thing. I stopped caring a while ago. His ROM was my DD on the gnex for 4.1.2. Then he had a twitter comment saying he was merging 4.2 and that was the last we heard from him until he came to the N5 forums.
Now I know, everything here is free and developers don't owe us anything, sure.... But at the same time... You say an update is coming and then stop development and disappear. It is kind of rude to the users. You said there's an update and got everybody waiting all for nothing. If you're going to abandon a project at least have the decency to tell people so they don't keep testing things/report bugs, etc.
He really killed it back in the day. Sucks that he keeps doing this, but CNA has never been very reliable. If he does 'come back' it'll only be a short while and for a couple of releases. Sorry :/
Not the first time and it won't be the last. Many great roms out there.

Hello xda friends,
I've dusted off the relay 4g & playing around with android again to keep my hands busy.
My Question of the day is, are there enough people still using this device to be testers? I've been looking at porting since that's just what I've always done for fun, and currently I'm using the LG G3 on verizon so I won't be able to do network/data testing on tmo.
The other thing, I left off on 4.2/4.3 and wondering if anyone can fill in the blanks regarding issues going to KK/LP.
I've already read some posts regarding memory leaks in LP, and Recovery issues I think..
Happy Modding!

Dude, drop in to IRC. Dev is pretty close to dead on Relay right now, since Nard and I don't *have* relay's any more, and Magamo's busy in his new parental role...
Before I got rid of mine, I did get 5.0 running on it reasonably OK. Some of the inherent 5.0 glitches made the experience slightly.... crunchy, but it was fully functional. 5.1 would probably work pretty well on it.

Finally got 5.1.1 booting using your device tree. Looks like sound, wifi & BT is borked. Likely do to cm-12.0 pulls & needs fixed.
Thanks for the direction & I'll see what I can put together, I'm sure I'll have to mess with the 8960-common now.

As of the last time TeamApexQ's repos were touched, CM12 booted, but audio was borked due to a CM change that I never had the time to figure out. -- Never did get around to starting with Android 5.1 on this thing. Nor did we touch Omni after the 5 upgrade, because for a long time their CAF trees were... inadequate.
Eugene, did you gave up on our relay? I hope not.
Just found this thread. Been hoping for signs of life (although this thread is looking pretty dead). Still using the relay until it dies, and would love to see LP or MM on it.

I'm still here, though I agree things are looking pretty dead. Within the next few weeks, I plan to either be gone from here, or be looking into becoming a new nightly provider.
My wife's Relay is having problems, and I fear it's a hardware fault. The proximity detector seems to get stuck. When she takes it away from her ear, the screen stays black, and I'm really not sure what lets it clear its state and display the screen, again. If it's a hardware fault, we're buying two new phones in the next few weeks. I've tried all sorts of things, except a factory reset, and that's next.
If the factory reset works, and I'm able to get it running again, then I want to see new nightlies, even if I have to be the one building them. The sticky part will be getting enough assistance to where I can start building them.
I still use my Relay 4g as my main phone and I'm trying to port LP to it. But I'm still a noob so it will take some time
My main too. I really need to find the time to poke around the code for this thing..
Just noticed this thread now (ha!). I'm using my Relay as my backup phone - but hey, sometimes I do need a backup! Happy to do some testing if it helps. I'd love to have 5.1.1 on it.
Im still rockin the relay also as my main device, but I'm probably gonna get the priv for Christmas.
