Hello! I'm new to flashing and i need a bit of help. i was recently flashing my xperia u with ST25 6.1 etc dat is ICS ftf.
So when i Excluded baseband and clicked 'ok' i got the following on screen -
Start Flashing
Processing Loader
Checking header
Ending flash session
ERROR -
Error Flashing Aborted
Device connected in flash mode
Device disconnected,
also, i had pressed d volume down button and plugged in the USB and a green LED was seen which indicated flashmode, and dis led was seen only for few seconds, n den again my phone started normally. PLS HELP
I'm not sure what baseband actually means, but just get a generic stock ics ftf and flash it without unchecking anything extra. flashing xperias do sometimes fail, so just try again and again till it works
Thanks

You need to wait untill preparing has finished then you'll see the prompt to connect your phone in flash mode then flashing will start.
i faced the same problem
here what i have done
flash bot image of FXP once again
Then remove the cable
Edit :- dnt press power button after removing cable
Hold (-) vol key and insert the cable
Then flash firmware TFT
here firmware link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2001567
That's because you didn't put the phone in MSC mode.connect your cable to the phone while it's booted, and slide the drawer, it should ask you for connection options, choose MSC, or because you have CM, PTP aka Camera.
So yeah I tried unlocking bootloader and now my phone's being bootlopped.
I downloaded the ftf for C2014 (15.2.X.XX)
and now the thing is when I enter fastboot mode on my laptop and select the ftf file
After it says "preparing files" my phone automatically turns on during the process and it says 'device dissconected' please help :/
Nvm... I see what I did
got it fixed myself.
So I rooted my Xperie E C1505 and installed Chainfire3d , thinking nothing bad was going to come out of it, and when I installed some package on Chainfire3d, ignoring the warning, my phone is now stuck in Bootloop!
Just now, I unrooted my phone using KINGO Android ROOT, but this hasn't brought me anywhere I have Flashtool and I downloaded a 4.11 Xperia E firmware and it is in the "firmware" folder. I attempted to flash my ROM and it was going fine until it asked me to connect device in Flashmode. I installed Flashmode and Fastboot drivers and I connected my phone, but only the green LED came up on the phone and nothing happened
I have no clue now so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Open flashtool,select firmware.
Untick everything except wipe data.
Flash.[Will take some time]
A dialog box will pop up saying connect to flashmode.
Power off mobile.
Press the volume down button while connecting phone via usb.
Phone will get detected, and then a firmware shall be flashed.
[Have you installed adb drivers?]
I downloaded ADB-USB drivers but when I open it in WinRAR, it's a .inf file so I dont know what to do

Dude if you haven't unlocked your Sony Xperia Phone's bootloader you can repair your phone with Sony Update Service (SUS) software.
You just need to be in the working flashmode and else all work will be handled by that software.. from downloading the firmware of your phone to flashing it and then you will get your phone up to date working with the latest firmware.

I tried installing Z2 rom on my xperia C. After installation while i reboot it. Now it is not starting up. Nothing is happening in it. When i connect charger RED light showed up. When connected with PC it shows only red light. Windows buzz a connect tone and then disconnect tone. Means it connects and disconnected. It is not going even in flash mode so that i can flash it with new rom. I already tried WMSHUA tool to flash but it fails to connect the phone. It installs the drivers and then no response.
I tried everything as given on the other posts but nothing works.
It happens because I had installed wrong ROM. It wasn't for xperia c.
Somebody help me out. :crying: :crying:
