You need to wait untill preparing has finished then you'll see the prompt to connect your phone in flash mode then flashing will start.

i faced the same problem
here what i have done
flash bot image of FXP once again
Then remove the cable
Edit :- dnt press power button after removing cable
Hold (-) vol key and insert the cable
Then flash firmware TFT
here firmware link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2001567

That's because you didn't put the phone in MSC mode.connect your cable to the phone while it's booted, and slide the drawer, it should ask you for connection options, choose MSC, or because you have CM, PTP aka Camera.

[HELP]Xperia J BRICK

I installed AVD Rom on my Rooted Xperia J with Locked Bootloader running on Stock ICS 11.0.A.7.5, after following all the instructions like Wiping The System Cache, the Dalvik Cache and the formatting /system. I was already at the instruction where I had to install the ROM itself It said it had a problem on the SDCard and I realized that the zip file of the rom was supposed to be placed in the ext_card, which i removed earlier before installing the ROM.
As a result I removed the battery Even with CWM On and after inserting the ext_card with the ROM I booted up and it stayed stuck in the SONY Logo and I was unable to enter CWM
I tried Reflashing the Stock ICS with Xperia Flasher but the phone won't even enter flashmode even if I am holding the Vol- button while connecting to PC all it says is Device Connected with USB debugging mode off. I tried to repair it with Sony PC Companion but it is also not detected by PC companion.
Please help guys I would really appreciate it. Thanks

There should be no reason for the phone not to go into flashmode is your battery charged?
Yes Sir, It boots up when I press a button and stays stuck at the SONY LogoI doesn't even enter recovery mode
Sir please help, All i can do now is rely on your instructions
Use pc companion and repair your phone
Sent from my ST23i
does fastboot mode work?
Download Sony Update Service and follow it's instruction to fix your phone.
For me it worked.
Charge your XJ's battery using an external battery charger! That happened to me also! I charged my battery and tried and flashmode as well as fastboot started to work

Awesome that you help him, but the post is from September . But it's still awesome that there are people out there who post complete guides like yours, and not just say: "use SUS, use Flashtool use PC Companion".
Merry Christmas

[Q] XPERIA L bricked or what?

Hi everyone, I think I might have bricked my Sony XPERIA L after I tried to partition my External SD card. After partitioning it to Fat32 and Ext4, I put back my SD card into my phone but after that my phone like never turned ON. Without being able to boot into bootloader, I can't flash stock firmwares. Seeing from all other threads that my phone might be dead, I came across something different today. I plugged in my phone (either to a PC or a Wall Charger) and a 'Light' Green LED was lit. Does it mean that I can do something to bring it back to normal usage?
p.s I love my Xperia L
Anyone, pliss?

hi,
first of all connect your phone to pc in flashmode via flashtool !
now it will ask you automatically to select phone model !!
ok if still your phone is not recognized in flashtool then go continue and click on THUNDER ICON and select flash mode !!
now here again it can ask you ur phone mode ..
still if your device is not recognized then go continue .. and flash with your phone with original stock.. now here again it will ask yor model number !!
ok if still you are facing problem !! then cancel flash .. and again click on Thunder ICON ... and select FASTBOOT MODE ... and after clicking fastboot mode it will ask to remove your phone from pc and reconnect by pressing Volume UP button and hold then connect to pc .... now this time it will ask your model number or it will detect automatically !!
then install kernel again .. and rebot your mobile and start in boot mode .. and clean chache , clean to install new rom then select your rom and it's done !!

Flashmode problem

Hi,
I tried to flash stock FTF using falshtool. Right now I am on 15.0.A.2.17 android 4.1.2. I am on unlocked bootloader(TA backup created) and after that I have once already flashed FTF and it worked. Now i want to flash FTF(15.3.A.1.17_Generic indian version) . Flastool has recognized the device but I am not able to go in flashmode and flash. All the drivers are fine I have checked.
I have attached the pic where I am stuck. I have followed the steps to go in flashmode LED is glowing Red and then Green but nothing is happening after that.
P.S. :- dont think it's a driver problem tried different pc but still same problem
Please help...Feeling frustated
Hi.
Had you any firmware flashed to your phone with the pc? If the answer is yes! You must connect your phone, but instead of pressing (vol-) fully pressed (camera button). To my I worked well. Please comment and give thanks if you help.
Send from my C2104 using XDA Premium HD app
First go to flash mode
Select ftf
And click flash
It will take 30-40 sec
And there will be one pop up (how to connect)
Now connect your phone
With volume down being pressed...

My Xperial L has crashed, plz help.

Hi, everyone, I'm new here but I've created a topic for anyone of you can help me.
My Xperial L stopped working after installing the new Cyanogenmod after restarted by CWM, the phone will not turn over, however, CWM lights still work, but when I press the volume buttons together, the lights go out and I can not open the CWM menu to make the recovery of the original ROM.
I tried another method, use fastboot to reinstall CWM, but my computer does not recognize the phone more.
Could anyone help me?

I have hard bricked a Xperia M2. Help please.

I think I was not suppose to do a full factory reset and then flash Cyncyanogen 12.1. Can this phone still be fixed?
I should have realised that I could not flash non stock custom ROMS when my device cannot be unlocked. I should have downloaded Z5 style in Android development.
