Can't seem to find a way to prevent the screen from coming on when plugging/unplugging AC or USB power. Does anyone have a solution? I'm stock ROM but with root, s-off, and system write protect disabled.
Thanks?

Sorry about that. I just figured it was a General Question

Hey did you ever find a way to do this? I've tried Wanam Kit and Xposed Additions and also tried using the Checkm8 kernel in case the kernel was why it wasn't working (could still be, not sure if whatever controls the wake on plug/unplug is included in the Checkm8 kernel) but no luck. I just want to be able to plug and unplug without waking my screen on my Verizon M8!

Hey guys i have a question. I'm running virus rom senseless with drod kernel and everytime i plug in my phone to charge it after it being off it boots into clockwork recovery. Is this a normal thing with cwm or a problem with the kernel or rom? Or maybe I'm just missing something entirely. I just find it strange i can't charge with it off any longer. Hahh thanks for any insight.

In short, it is just the way it works for now. Only way around it is too activate fast boot on your phone and then use the shut off feature. This keeps most from seeing the recovery screen. Some have reported that this trick didn't work for them.
Also there is a thread on this. If you use the search up top you will be able to read the whole issue and keep up with any fixes or updates...
Alright man thanks for the reply. And ill do that.

does anyone know what needs to be edited to add volume wake to the g2x? from what i've gathered it can be somewhat typical to have the volume wake only work at a very low percentage. yet when it is plugged in it works no problem. while i have no idea what switch is thrown when it's plugged in to a charger, i have been able to find that the key layouts are in system/usr/keylayout.....but from there i've actually edited every volume up & down key to include WAKE as well but it's made no difference. WAKE_DROPPPED is also an option but i'm not sure if that makes a defference. if anyone with experience could offer some input it would be much appreciated.
edit: oh ****...forgot to follow my own thread and couldn't find it....didn't realize i post this in development and not q&a....mods, please move.
This could be done in cm settings. Try posting in the right section though.
Edit: cm settings, input, volume rocker wake

9 hours have gone by and this still hasn't been moved!?!?!? That's kinda weird, why are the mods here so relaxed? I go to O2X threads and that area is controlled like really well... in ours... well every other thread is hijacked or there is a duplicate for every thread made in q&a, general, and themes lol. Just curious why ours is a mess?

Agreed, people keep complaining in threads about random chat about none relevant info to thread and nothing happens ever. I'm not complaining either just agree someone needs to step up and clean this house

isn't working for me. tried a few different roms, none of them wake my phone. thought maybe i could just figure out how to do it myself or see why the setting wouldn't take with my phone. although by my phone i mean someone else's. just trying to help someone else.
and when i posted this i thought i was in q & a, hence the edit, the apology, and finally, the request to have it moved. but thanks anyways

viper xl 3.2.7 bluetooth disconnecting when phone sleeps
About 5 minutes after my screen turns off/sleeps, my Bluetooth turns off. As soon as I wake the phone, it re-connects. I had the same problem with Bulletproof 1.3 and Elemental 6.5. I reflashed the kernels a couple of times, and the Rom as well. I did a complete wipe before flashing. I have used Viper in the past, but never encountered this problem. I have been on ICS till now, but was lured back to JB now that the mass storage mess has finally been conquered. Any suggestions on how to fix the Bluetooth?
This problem is not actually on my phone, it's on my missus' but I've changed the rom and the problem persists. So I assume it's something on the sd or internal storage or an app perhaps that isn't getting wiped when flashing roms....
When she presses her power button to turn the screen off, it goes off, but then lights back up again for no reason. She even says it can randomly light up to the lock screen when just sat on the side not even touched.
Any ideas anyone? It's really bloody annoying. Lol

It will just be an app waking up the phone. Perhaps using better battery stats with reference set to "screen off" looking at "alarms" can help identify what caused it.
It certainly wont be easy to track down the culprit though

Not sure if I just haven't found the option yet but can we extend how long the notification light blinks after a missed call, text etc? It seems like it may only flash for 5 or 10 minutes. I know it seems like not that big of a deal but I would like to know a way to change it. I'm dispatched for work through text so not having to constantly pick up my phone to see if I have a missed call or text would be ideal. Thanks in advance!
I think this is the 1 issue with the phone that baffles me. Such a great device, but such a strange setting by HTC.

I know. Such a stupid little thing but it drives me nuts.
Well after some more homework it sounds like this has been going on for a lot of HTC phones. This is my first one.Is there an app or something that can bypass this 5 minute timeout? I'm assuming it's probably something I would have to be rooted for since apps like liteflow don't seem to work. Any help is appreciated.

Light Flow has a "HTC alternative direct mode", and it states "Phones such as the latest HTC One control the LED differently when running in Direct Mode. This option should enable flashing the LED." Granted... I am unsure if you need root for that option. Same with Direct Mode. Only option I am sure that needs Root is, well, Root mode, lol.
Sadly this is all I can think of that might help you, sorry.
You can get lightflow to work this thread in the regular M8 forum kinda lays out how to do it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2719073

Thanks man but I don't think this will bypass the 5 minute HTC timeout.
It does for me. You just have to set the light to never time out was going for about 8 10 minutes before I noticed it was blinking sounds off its about bed time
