I cannot find it in the Samsung store.
Nope. Tizen =/= Android

Thank you for the email address! Just sent them the following message...
I am sure that your inbox is being flooded with requests, but we would really be honored if you would work on making Watch Styler work with Tizen. I'm not sure if you are already in the process, but I just wanted you to know that I would be willing to donate to the cause (hell, even purchase the app!).
Your app is one of the reasons I went with the original Gear. As silly as it sounds, that app allowed me to make that device my own. And I would love the chance to do that with the new one.
Thank you for creating this app!
Here's hoping something comes of it!
I have send him an email to, Dude Damn i wan't this app to for my Gear 2 Neo because the normal Styler from Gear Manager are **** not enouth creativiti for me

I'm pretty new to android phones and moved from a softbank iPhone 4 to a J Butterfly on AU. It's awesome, as is the Aurora 1.02 rom I'm running on it (thanks IS03!) but there's one thing that really bugs me.... The AU email app is so basic it's not true! To give you an idea....
Notifications don't include any information other than an email has arrived
Clicking on the notification re-opens the app, not the email in question
So you then have to click on your inbox and the mail to see what's going on
Replying takes way more steps than it should (tap reply, tap body, type, click done, click send)
I've tried using the gmail and outlook apps and they're not bad at all as email apps, but lacking for chatting. I've tried some SMS apps that feature iPhone esque themes and they look good, but unfortunately SMS is basically unused in Japan - people can't reply to me. So after all that background, finally my question:
Is there simple, streamlined email client that works great for chatting?
Thanks for any and all advice!

Didn't seem like there's anything like that on au's end, I'd have found it by now as I share your frustrations.
Many people I know are using Line, though. I haven't really used the standard email app in quite a while.

Thanks for the reply. A few of my Japanese friends are using Line, I guess it's time to get on board!
Hey,
I read a lot in this forum, but I do have a question, I can not answer by myself...
Is it possible to read Emails on the Watch, which i receive in the Email Client on my Samsung (Note2) phone? I do not mean the Gmail App, but the native Email Client.
I hope I was able to make clear what I mean, my Engish is not the best.
Thanks for any help...

Just download an email reading smartwatch app from the play store. Sony has both an email and a Gmail apps available, so make sure to get the right one.
Try Augmented Smartwatch from the Play Store. It allows you to send any notifications from any Android phone directly to your watch, and even customize fonts, colors, and have longer messages shown across multiple screens. I use it for everything. Just configure it in settings to send you alerts from Samsung's email app, and any other alerts you'd like to see on your watch. As far as reading the whole email, I'm not sure this is possible, but you can certainly see the sender, subject, and the first few lines on most apps.

Just to be clear: english isn't my mother language, so...
I got my Smartwatch last friday. Started to play with it, and installed augmented smartwatch from google play store.
It works like a charm with my galaxy note II, but I had to disable all the TTS engines (google's and samsung's), even talkback, to get all whatsapp notifications on the watch (with sender and message). Also had to download sqlite3 from playstore, because the sqlite version embedded on my rom didn't work properly.
It's a known bug and even samsung's engineers say are working on.

For this case you can use an specific app for smartwatch (you can have stock samsung email app on your phone and another one just for your smartwatch) you can try Mail Notification it claims to let you read the whole email on the smartwatch.
I preffer just notifications that Watchit! (as augmented) show to me from any app I want and is pretty cool but these are just notifications not all the text is prompted.
Another option is not so good but actually works for what you want (if you want just the samsung email app) use AppWidgetDisplay and add into it the samsung email widget to show it on your watch (but text is not as readable as you will wish).
Another sugestion (if notifications are not enough), is better to use another email aplication as K9 mail (works perfect and is much better than stock one) this app have an smartwatch app to notify.
I've got the Gear 2 and I'm receiving notifications, but I am noticing that there is EXTREMELY limited notification for the Exchange email portion. Such as, I hope I look at the screen the moment the alert comes up so that I might actually see more than just the name of the emailer, but possibly a small portion of the subject. Because when I go back into notifications and select email, I get the following alert:
"The content of this email cannot be shown on the Gear for security reasons. For details, view this email on your mobile device.".
NOTE: I left the original Galaxy Gear for the Pebble and now left the Pebble for the Gear 2. Both the Galaxy Gear as well as the Pebble allowed me to see the content (albeit not all content, but some) of the emails from my Exchange account... I am aware that certain security protocols within Exchange would limit the view, however if that same protocol was active on the Exchange account, it would have limited notifications on all three devices, not just this one.
Is anyone else experiencing this aggravating issue?
I've attempted all software updates as well as checked within the Accessibility settings (but there is no Gear service there to approve access) and within Security (notification access) and Gear Manager is already checked.
Gear Manager version: 2.0.14040401
Gear 2 Software Version: R380XXU0BND8
Yes same issue and I fill your pain it sucks when Your in a meeting that was the selling point of the gear2 frustrating that's for sure.
Try Cloudmagic for your Exchange emails. The notifications are working for me, with a few minor bugs such as a doubling or tripling sometimes of the email notification. Also use the older stock Android email and Exchange Services, but this gave me more of the same type of bugs in frequency, so I went to Cloudmagic and am happy enough.
Hacked Sense Exchange app (preventing PIN lock enforcement, available on most custom HTC ROMs) also defeats this security limitation. I'm able to see Exchange email subject and several lines of text on my Gear 2 with HTC One M8.

Ahh... Cloudmagic! I haven't tried that yet. I've had it installed for about an hour and I love it! Thank you for the pointer! Makes it even better that I'm able to see my notifications on the Gear 2 now with it. SWEET!

no problem with exchange here! I have two accounts (2010 and 2007) and both work as they should! I can read the emails without any problems, and the notification shows a few words of the content...

I used the ZWatch for a while before the Neo came out. Exchange emails were very limited, so at the advice of the community, I switched to K9 for emails. Well, for some reason today, K9 wasn't getting any emails out, so I turned the base client back on and was I ever glad I did. I can see the full content of the email on my device, which is EXACTLY the functionality I need.
I'm running a Gear 2 Neo against a Verizon Galaxy S3 on the stock version of 4.3.
I am very pleased with the Exchange Email output on my watch.
Thank you for the heads up with Cloud Magic it's been kicking a** that was the main reason I purchased the gear 2 for easy read of notifications during meetings all day I left my cell on my hip and looked at my gear to see the importance of the notification.
Thank you bro.

Glad to help out and share what i find out myself. That is why I like to visit XDA. I still am hopeful that Samsung did not intentionally block Exchange notifications, but it could be that they gave in to Corporate pressures on this. Since they did "break" it once in a past update, but then got it working again, we will all have to wait and see.
Gear S2 mail problem with exchange
I have exactly the same problem with my Gear S2.....and no solution :crying:
Hi everyone! I'm working a new Android messaging app, and to test my idea, I have a few questions for which I'd love to hear what you have to say.
Do you feel that you spend too much time on your messaging apps?
Are many of your conversations productive?
Would you like it if conversations were short and to the point? If so, with what kind of people would you want this (ie your friends, family, colleagues, etc...)?
Do you love the mute notifications feature on apps like Whatsapp?
I appreciate your time - feel free to PM me or reply on this thread. Thanks!
I would love you see a messaging and email app all in one. Like the same platform as the new Inbox. Its super smooth and convenient. If you could text too it would be perfect to me

A messaging app that lets you send files of any size or extension would be great.

Any extension would be cool. The size is limited to whatever your service provider is set to and I dont think there's any getting around that.
Split to another message and reassemble at the other end..

I agree with this guy, I would love that. Simple/fast/clean app for SMS and email accounts (outlook/gmail etc)
I got my first smartwatch yesterday! Really enjoying the features I have at my disposal on my wrist hooked up to my new S7 Edge! I used it all day at work and I only have one question or concern right now. My boss will, most of the time, send out a text to me and 4 or so other guys in a group text. I get it on my watch but when I reply through the watch itself either by voice commands or manual texting it only sends it to my boss and not the whole group is there any way to make it so when a group text is recieved, if I reply, can it go to everybody? Or anything I can download to make it work? Also, on a side note it sucks there's no sleep tracking but the gnight app works pretty well! :good:
Do you have group messaging turned on on the s7? Not sure if that's what your issue is or not. I just know it didn't work on my s2 or note 5 until I turned group messaging on under settings in the messaging app.

Yes I have group messaging turned on on my phone. I'm using the Samsung messaging app, the default app. I can't find any options on my gear s2 that'd change anything...am I missing something? When I reply it only sends to the person that started the group chat not to everyone in it. Is group reply not available on the s2?

Same problem, what the heck?!? I don't want to use another third party messaging app BC the default app shows the message thread between contacts on the watch and I don't want to lose that great feature!
