On my verizon Htc one m8 i was running viper one ROM with no problems and tried another ROM the ROM didn't work so i restored my stock backup with s-off and unlocked boot loader and now it says roaming and I cannot get data at all i tried *#*#4636#*#* I could not get data back through that method if anyone know how to fix this can you please help I need data...

Hello I'm new here and had a question about my htc inspire or desire. somebody installed a custom rom I guess to unlock the phone for me everything works but the wifi seems to be not working. Its connected to the router and it shows gr8 signal also shows its connected but some how I dont have any data or access to the internet it says web page cannot display? and I cant use android apps or market or gmail. Plz help thanks

My problem solved. It was caused by the custom rom. So what you can do is try to go back with the stock rom or install a new rom and flash it. Make sure you have backed up all your stock rom so incase if something goes wrong you can get back to your old rom.

Hope you guys can help me. I'm lost right now. (COMPLETE NOOB)
Yesterday I rooted my htc amaze 4g with Hasoon's tool and it worked. Then I installed the Speed 8.0 rom on my phone and everything worked except that it did not recognized my mobile data. I could not even see the 4g in the corner next to the signal symbol.
After that I thought my Wind phone might not be 100% compatible with that ROM (since the rom might be for tmobile phones or something) so I tried the FastAmaze rom but the same. Now I'm trying to go back to the Stock rom, but I cant.
I tried downloading the RUU but once I start the process, it can not be completed. I don't get an exact error it only tells me that the usb might not be connected to the phone or to check the battery. I tried the same thing many times.
I really need data on my phone (Plus I'm paying for it). Can someone help me to restore the STOCK rom or to get data in the Speed or Fast Amaze rom? To avoid future problems I would prefer to just stick to the Stock rom, but if is not possible then as long as I can get data on my phone I'm happy.

I was running ViperXL 3.2.8, but i could not connect to a pc to access unless in bootloader so i went back to 3.2.6 works fine but now i cannot use data over 4g 3g or 2g. I then tried installing (Using venomhub) a new radio nothing changed then did ElementalX kernel it killed my phone and it took me two days before i could either get it to boot or it would boot but .com processes were crashing.
I am not back in to 3.2.6 but as i said i have no data please could someone advise a fix.

Still new to Android even after 6 years, APN's were blank but even after I manually input the details and hit save the list stays empty.
Just rebooting and trying again
Try flashing a different ROM and see if you get data.

I got my one SV k2_cl from boost a little over a month ago and got the bootloader unlocked and rooted, working fine until one morning it wouldn'tmake calls or texts. I tried to factory reset and when I tried to boot got stuck at the HTC logo. Took me 2 weeks to get it to even flash a Rom on here that will somewhat work. I've got WiFi and partial 3g 4g connectivity but no voice at all. When I try to use the phones its activation tool-error, tried manually programming phone- nothing. I'm stumped. Can someone please help me out here. Don't want to have to buy another phone if I can help it. The only guess I've got at the moment is that if I could get a stock original rom to flash I'd be good to go probably and just hold out on doing anything else to it until after the kitkat ota is launched. The few stock roms I've tried either wouldn't download for some reason or just won't flash right. Thanks in advance for any help guys. I've always been more of a hardware geek more so than software but I can usually muddle through following guides of course.

As a matter of fact I have tried that and unfortunetly the installer locked up on a reboot of the phone because the phone wants to do the "Android is upgrading # of #" on every boot. That was why I was thinking since adb/fastboot and the HTC One Toolkit all sorta work that if I could get ahold of a working stock rom to flash on there and I have a stock CWM backup still on my laptop from when I first got the phone rooted and everything working. But of course thanks for the tip anyway. I wish that would work. It seems to be the easiest way to install back to stock.
I have a problem on my M8 that nobody seems to be able to solve. My M8 doesn't connect to 3G, only to 4G and 1x. This gets carried over from Rom to Rom. My SOD is running Viper and she connects to 3G no problem while I'm stuck with 1x.
I have posted multiple times about this but nobody seems to know whats going on.
Would going back to S-ON and Unroot possibly fix this problem? Would I need to revert my firmware.
I just don't know what to do.
I'm not the one to help you but I can say with confidence that turning s-on will only limit your options for fixing you problem.

What ROM are you currently running ?
You may have to revert back to a stock ROM and then build back up. Before that I would wipe everything but your external card in recovery, flash the firmware twice with fastboot, and then flash the ROM.

Have you tried using factory reset from hboot while on a stock recovery? Stock recovery resets parts used by the radio that custom recovery can't touch.
Have you also verified you have your network settings set to global and not lte only?
Whatever you do....do not turn s-on to trouble shoot this.

No just flash the stock recovery just like you would a custom recovery. If you go to the android development section you should find the download for the stock recovery. Make sure to flash the correct one, such as the 4.4.4 stock recovery if your on the latest firmware or the stock recovery for 4.4.3 if your on that firmware and so on.
It never fails, every time I see somebody ask if they Should go back to S-On for any reason other than Warranty/returning phone, I cry a little on the inside..... ?

Whatever you do, Don't go S-0n. It will only make your life more complicated.
What you need to do is run Dottat's FUU to make your whole thing stock.
Then do a factory re-set with stock recovery & kernel, and voila(!) your radios will be fixed.
Then put whatever rom you want on it.
