GSAM or BBS with temp Root - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Is it not possible to install GSAM or Better Battery Stats for root with the temp root?

It worked fine for me. I didn't try gsam but bbs worked fine

With the weaksauce root? What version of BBS are you running?

Yes with weaksauce. I'm on 1.15.0.0 I don't think older versions work on kitkat since kitkat doesn't allow applications access to battery stats anymore unless you have root

Thanks for the info. It's working for me now. I was on 1.16 beta.

Yes, if you have the full radio zip file for cwm.
Thanks man... should I charge my phone completely to 100% before doing so? Or can I do it now that I'm on 34% without having battery reading issues

Disabling OTAs

Now that we have root, anyone remember all the files we need to disable to prevent Verizon from pushing an OTA to the phone?
Disable or freeze sdm1.0

Mine was already on the phone. Froze the above mentioned app and deleted update.zip from /cache/fota to remove it entirely.

After installing cm 12 but now not root.

I've installed CM12 and before that I was rooted but now I'm not how has this happened

In settings, developer options, root access, grant root to apps and ADB.
Just like that .... You have made me very happy.
I've been at this for two days now and finally I have it all sorted.

How did you root via Towelroot if the 907A is not supported?

Possible temp root?

I remember being able to achieve temp root on the Verizon Note 4 using king root, then using supersume to remove all remnants of kingroot minus supersu. The root would last until the phone was rebooted. You were able to do most things except modify system files. Anyone think this would work on our Note 5? Trying to find the thread to link here.

I tried it, however KingRoot and Kingo Root both failed...

There is no way to currently bypass Knox. If you want to softbrick your phone .........
