I am not sure if this is the right place to post but or if it a repost(tried searching but no result here and sorry I if it is a repost.),
I am just sharing a tool that I found online to root the Karbonn A27+.
Just enable USB Debugging Mode and connect the phone to your PC and let it install all the drivers.
Then just click on "Next" on the GUI.
It installs a KinguserApk in English which allows for root permissions and changing it to SuperSU does not work and I loose root.

I have tried binary root tool (many version of script) but fail. I have tried after installing drivers from many sites as pdanet, karbonn official drivers for a27. I have installed java and android sdk on my windows 7 system.

What Android version are you currently running.
The screenshot shows 2 very basic possibilities
1). you have not enabled USB Debugging from Settings -->developers option Menu of phone
2). the drivers installed are not working,
check the usb debugging option and then try again, then try using different USB Port of your pc/laptop.
Use search option as this ADB error should already have been covered 1000 times here.

I have tried many solution for adb errors from inetrnet but all useless.
I am running android 4.1.2 version of android on my karbonn A27.
I am also able to run internet via usb tethering from my mobile to my pc
I have enabled USB Debugging. If driver are not running why tethering is working.

Hi friend you exactly have the same problem as I had. I too have the same phone . the thing is your phone is not recognized by root tool not because of the drivers it is due to vendor id (vid) of manufacture. The vid is not present in the android_winusb.inf file which is present in path android-sdk\extras\google\usb_driver\android_winusb.inf as well as android_usb.inf at path C:\Users\karthik.kolanji\.android\android_usb.inf . I am attaching both the files...

I brought karbonn Retina A27 ... The phone's system is r/o (read only). The phone is not rooted due to that problem . All the root tool shows "mount : permission denied (are you root ?)..real only file system"
"without root I can't change r/o to r/w" BUT " without changing r/o to r/w I can't root my phone"...I am stucked..please help me

can upgrade Karbonn 41.2 to 4.3
I have karbonn retina which runs android 4.1.2 .......can it be upgraded to android 4.3

I did few extra steps
1] Configured vendor id in adb_usb.inf located in C:\Users\karthik\.android
2]Configured drivers code (extracted from Device Manager i.e; hardware id) in android_winusb.inf located in Android\android-sdk\extras\google\usb_driver
Managed to root with these steps:
Here's what to do in case you still haven't managed to root your device:
1. Download and install latest ADB drivers from here (make sure you have USB Debugging on)
2. Download and Install the latest Root Master. Google for VROOT and it should be the first link, or just click here
3. Disconnect your phone from pc, open VROOT, connect your phone (USB Debugging must be on) once your phone is detected it will show the model number
4. Click the green button in the bottom right and wait for the app to do its thing and you should see the tick and A27 ROOT once its done and your phone should reboot, you'll see an extra app in your drawer called superuser after reboot.
5. To confirm root install Root Checker from Play Store to confirm root.

i have rooted my symphony xplorer w70q using vroot pc tools method , its a simple , safe & easy method.
ok lets talk about rooting process. . . . . . . .
First go to setting =>security =>unknown sources & check unknown source.
then go to setting=>developer option & turn it on.
then tick USB Debugging Options & also tick allow mock locations from Developer Options in Settings.
if your W70q dont shows Developer options, it means you didnt get developer access,
to get developer access, First you have to go to setting=>about phone & tap sometimes on Build Number, then you will get developer access & Developer option will show on setting.
ok, now download pc root tools from this link vroot english[mgyun,com/en/GetVRoot](english vroot needed 1st to setup root process but then you have root using vroot china) Vroot china [mgyun,com/vroot] (use dot in place ,) (i could not post vroot link for xda forum's spam system, i will update link later) {i have rooted my phone using china version}
after downlooading, install it in c: drive in your pc, then connect the cable with you phone to pc . from your phone, select connect as Mount SD card.
then open vroot in your pc, connect the cable then it will check your phone driver & will download it automaticly for you, then vroot will show your phone model connected,
then click root ,then vroot will start rooting, after 1min, it will reboot device & upgrade android version & complete rooting. then it will give root complete message. :good:
As this is China version you have to download SuperSu from Play Store.
After installing SuperSu from play store, Open it Then you can see 2 option like Normal or CWM/TWRP Select Normal…Wait a second..then you can see uninstall option, select it..You Have done….now Enjoy
it will not brick your phone & you can unroot later,Internet connection compolsary while rooting phone, use usb modem or wifi for this, don't use phone while rooting, happy rooting

Hello! There is some Custom Rom for this model like Cyanogenmod? Or Kitkat version? I'm interested to get the all firmware (including partitions like persist and all radio and network partition information), because my gsm signal is allmost = 0. There is some posibility to have a better signal (in the same place of the city, with nokia e51, the signal is full).

Firstly , download "Kingo Root" - http://www.kingoapp.com/
Enable USB Debugging,
To do this go to Settings and then Developer Options and then enable USB Debugging.
Then connect your tab to your computer using microUSB cable.
Then open the KINGO ROOT app on windows and follow the instruction.
You are all done.

Make sure USB Debugging is turned on and install all the needed drivers on tab and pc!
HELP.. Can you provide me with the recovery.img file of the rom of this tablet.
I need recovery.img of the stock rom of this tablet. See if you could help me anyhow. I would suggest, if you rooted you could make a backup using flashify or twrp(apps only don't install these mod., not needed, just install apk and make backup and please share it with me.

You need drivers before using this. Just google 'enable adb drivers on nvidia based android tablets' and install drivers within 2 minutes by this easy process. Also, I need help if you sucessfully root it, please share recovery.img which is a part of the stock rom, if you could anyhow . Thanks to you too.

No need for any special kinda driver but though am not sure because on my own pc I have a couple of drivers installed . When I used my friend's pc for testing it again . I just insalled general ADB drivers . That was all I did . :good: Hope it helps . and sorry for the late reply . Things were messed up!

Yeah! iRoot worked . But at the time of the post iRoot didnt worked but now it works so its cool!
I can also confirm that kingo root worked for me. Just Fyi i have flashify backup of the stock recovery for xolo play tab 7 if its of any use

Kingo root worked for me
Kingo root got stuck on Waiting for device...
I couldn't get it to work until I deleted android USB devices and then installed the android SDK, drivers were recognized before the SDK but kingo root wouldn't run until I did the SDK thing
I also have the same model(Hipstreet Phoenix), and I success on rooting it. for kingo root maybe check if you had enable USB debugging,
if it still does not work, then try install king root(is not the google play store,
download link:res.kingroot.net/msoft/webapp_kingroot/image/KingRootTrunk_105001.apk
1. download it than install the apk
2. open it(the only issue is the main screen and intro is in chinese, english video link:youtube.com/watch?v=Kzv75LQ1SlQ
let it install the root component(if is not rooted yet), on the upside the rest of interface is in english(including the request for root permission window)

KingGo worked for me with no problems, Make sure that USB Debugging is enabled and Unkwown Sources is enabled. My Tablet is the 16GB version and has KitKat- still no problem with KingGo. Now I need A good Custom Lollipop ROM- anyone have one?

I was advised to use Mobogenie by another member of this forum it was very easy and worked quickly. One button push to root.
I have searched for months on end to try and find a way to root my Goclever quantum 700s but hadnt had any luck up until now i download some software called "mobilego" made by "wondershare"
(id post the link but im new here so this isnt allowed as yet) google the above
Install mobilego to your pc/laptop
Start mobilego and connect your device (enable usb debugging)
At the top of mobilego you will see the "root" button click that and away you go it will find all drivers it needs automatically and also its app on your device (not sure why my guess would be for communication during root) your tablet will restart once or twice but just leave it to run DONT use the device once its complete congratulations you now have root access.
I tried all other methods every single .apk i could find all failed the above method worked for me so thought i would share as i see nobody claiming to have root yet so this maybe helpful
PS i would like someone to point me in the right direction as to identify what it has installed so i can maybe find a suitable custom rom that will work with the help from you guys :good:
