Which rom to choose ? - HTC One S

Well guys im using viper one s rom, its really really bad! i think the stock was better... it looks good but its very very very bad! why?
Battery life - few hours, this rom eats my battery
Rebooting more than few times a day
so its useless and annoying.
What im looking for ? Rom which has
Decent battery life
No reboots
Very good camera app such as sense 5
without WIFI,GPS,BLUETOOTH BUGS
With beats audio enchancer, well its not obligatory but i like this bass
Android 4.2++
My one s have Hboot 2.15 and s on and twrp recovery, so i need rom for this settings. Please help !

If you want the latest sense ROM and the most customization, then Viper is the way to go. Make sure you are using:
-The correct ROM for your device e.g. S4 ROM for S4 device
-Check all the MD5 sum
-Recommended Radio
-Clean install
Also try a custom kernel like ElementalX. Viper has always had the best stability and battery life of any custom ROM I've tried.

Custom roms worry

I've S offed and rooted. I'm a bit skeptical of installing a rom. My concerns are of battery life, stability, and receiving calls. Is there any rom out there for the desire s now that is atleast 95% completed with a few bugs?

For me, LBC v0.5.3 works flawlessly - 100% complete in my opinion. No stability issues for me whatsoever.. No crashes, FCs etc, no issues making or receiving calls, smoothness better than stock and battery life same/better than stock. It's a no brainer IMHO.

I'm waiting for an AOSP rom (CM 8hopefully), because that's my preference, but for a sense rom LBC is the best I've used.
Does the rom need you to flash kernels or radios? I'm not very good with that. Also can anyone send me a link

Look in the development forum, titles LBC mod, see link in my signature, it is suggested that you flash a new radio, but, all instructions are provided within the first post and on the supporting website
You shouldn't really start flashing until you feel reasonably comfortable with the process, so I'd suggest that you spend a day or two day reading the entire thread and the site before you do.
You can then ask any questions regarding anything you are unsure or are un clear about in the rom thread

You can try virtuous unity too
Try virtuous unity 1.29.0, its pretty stable too, running sense 3.0.

DO NOT FLASH radio's unless you really need to, we know a lot about the Nand and can recover from almost any error there, but the nvram, radio etc is a different story. A bad radio flash, could mean you end up with a very expensive calculator!
The stock HTC European Baseband (radio) is: 20.28b.30.0805U_38.03.02.11_M. I did not need to change mine when I flashed LBC. Different carriers will have different radio's.
You can flash a Kernel any time after you flash your rom, otherwise the rom flash will simply overwrite your kernel flash. Pick the wrong kernel and it can cause you a lot of problems, although these should be easily recoverable. The only way to learn that, is experience.

Hi,
If you are using the kernel that came with the ROM, then you might consider a change.
Look in my signature and you will see the faux 0.2.4 beta7.
Download it, make a nandroid backup, wipe your cache partition and dalvik, then install this kernel.
I think you will notice the difference.

I had that same problem, I couldn't go a full day without recharging the phone. I think is a bug in that version of the rom, I think that Mike1986 actually mentioned in the rom thread at some point. Just upgrade to 4.1.6, it is out now. I upgraded this morning and after flashing a couple of things and using the phone heavily today, I can say that battery life is much better.
Good luck.

[Q] Complete noob question about flashing custom from stock ics

Hey all,
I'm complete noob about flashing. When I had GB - that was quite simple, but now I'm on last official ICS stock from HTC, and I'm totally angry for this. This rom it's just crap. I want to flash to a custom rom, and I don't know how on ICS, there is any solution? Noob proof? I want to change to some stable, smooth, and maybe non-sense rom? Can some1 help me? Will be very nice, if this rom will have wifi/bt switches in quick settings, and auto sys-updates (ota)

yes, only this method for now.
read it carefully
I'll be able to back to stock if needed? (To send it to service for ex.). It's really needed to change cid? IS there any custom rom with OTA?
Yes you need to change cid, yes you can change back if needed. Try out a few roms, see what you like they all are really great. It's just a matter of personal preference. I'm not understanding what you mean by Rom with ota. Over the air Rom? Or do you
Mean a Rom like the ota update? If so, yes there is. Hope this helps
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
Rom that have system updates over the air, and notifications about update like stock rom, u know, i'm entering preferences > about > check updates.
I can't try few roms... This is my only one phone at now, and I really need it to work, that's why I want to change to some better rom than stock, and that's why I can't try few of them. You know - I don't have time to beeing angry to my current ROM, and also no time to try few of them
No with roms you won't get the ota updates , sorry
There are a lot of good stable roms, what exactly are you looking for?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
I'm using beats by grogg Rom, I like it a lot, WiFi hotspot are working great. What is it you don't like about your current Rom and maybe we can recommend one you will like I'm sure there's a Rom here you will be happy with!
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
Hm, I don't really know... I like Sense, but maybe clear ICS have better features? If yes - I don't want Sense. I really liked quick settings when on GB rom, now I don't have wifi/bt switches, but I want to. I don't know what's more... I've never had any senseless ROM. But most important - I want ALL functions to be working. Sense 4... ahm, I fall in love with Sense 4
Help me to choose, pls. Battery is important too, and smooth. But I think smooth is very good on most future ROMS
Any1?

You can get s-off with the juopunutbear method. Which now does not need the htc dev-off, so htc does not know you are tinkering with your phone.
Returning your phone completely to stock can be done, but from what i've read it can be tricky as you must become S-ON again. (however, there is a unbrickable team here).
There is a way to flash with S-ON but it requires HTC DEV unlock, and for you to manually flash the boot.img, and keep the stock kernel. A noob myself i went for the whole S-OFF, lets bring it on experience.
From what I read on a local forum in my country, Ordroid gives you the sense 4 experience. And the developer regularly updates his / her rom.
Then again there is sense 4 from Baadnewz (insertcoin) and many more. A popular sense 3.6 rom is ARHD.
You can flash different kernels to increase your battery life.
As for the vanilla ICS, you can either go for CM9 (respect to Vorbeth) or the AOKP. The latter is based on the cm9 nightlies (i believe). I run such a rom. I love the vanilla looks and the added tweaks.
However, I believe recent nighlies have worse battery life. And there is an audio routing issue. For full reliability you might consisder those sense.
what's vanilla and aokp?
Please help?

[Q] Best rom for Ville C2 ? JB

Which is the best JB rom for our phone
Its very individual,
Thats why "which is the best rom" questions arent allowed here.
Everyone habe other needs.
Some likes aosp look and feel,
Some likes the stock features..
Best way would be to try it on your own.
Or tell us your needs or your focusses, so we can recommend you one.

if you want to stay on stock: viper one s 2.2.0 with latest bricked kernel (I got 3-4%/h drain with normal usage, whatsapp, fb, xda, music)
if you want to switch to aosp: slimbean/latest cm10.1 release/deviantx with latest bubba vn3 kernel
thats my opinion
I also would recommend Viper!
i was going to install the trickdroid meh its sounds like viper rom is faster and more stable thanks for the input guys

both roms are stable.
but trickdroid is more stock orientated (look&feel)
viper has more customizations like center clock, battery % etc.

I know it's been almost a year since your last post, but what are your thoughts on these 3 roms now?
I got this phone not so long ago, tried a few kitkat roms that weren't fully functional, so ended up choosing unofficial cm10.2. But after 2 months, I'm still not fully satisfied with stability and especially battery life. What is your current rom now, and otherwise which one is the most stable/has best battery life?

That's the rom I'm using already. I'm still getting random reboots, lags when using browser, it's pretty good but not stable enough for me. I was hoping there was an aosp (even 4.1 I wouldn't mind) that is perfectly stable but it seems that it isnt't the case.

I think you can use RUU from HTC to downgrade without root/unlock BL/S-OFF, I'm not sure but should work. Remember it will clear your phone's data, backup first.
4.0.4 from HTC on One S is really great power life. 4.1.1 could achieve nearly same result but you will need rooted and buy greenify donate on playstore, uses it to freeze all those annoying no use background services/apps and remember to enable power saver mode in JB. By using custom kernel and rom, the battery actually can be just as great as 4.0.4.
4.2.2 on the other hand, it drains a little bit more battery because of Blinkfeed and other stuffs.
