[Q] MODEM Baseband ML1 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I cannot figure out how to get AT&T 3g network speeds for GS3 (SCH-I535). I have tried flashing my modem via Safestrap, and still I get speeds of 11 - 14Kbps for upload and download. I have tried few option posted on XDA, youtube and other sites, but no luck. Currently modem is using the ML1 firmware.
I am running MOAR 9.0 TW via safestrap. Any guidance would greatly appreciated. Thanks.

[Q] MMS, LTE, and wifi issues

My D2VZW has been having intermittent issues with receiving MMS and connecting to any data networks. I'm thinking it's due to me continually updating the ROM but not radio. Does this sound right? Currently I'm running CM 10.2.1 (4.3.1) on the I535VRBLK3 baseband. Anyone have any ideas on what I could/should update to? I see tons of items in the download section but have no clue on what to update to. Thanks in advance.
Flash the VRBMF1 firmware from Invisiblek's firmware thread. This will update your modem (aka baseband), tz, sbl1, sbl2 and I think one other partition to 4.1.2 VRBMF1. Most if not all 4.3 AOSP roms included code from VRBMF1. If I'm not mistaken, they recommended users to upgrade their firmware to VRBMF1 months early in the fall.

Which Modem Should I flash?

I have a SCH-I535 (d2vzw).
Bootloader Version:
I535VRUCML1
PDA version
I535VRUCML1 / I535VRUCML1a
Modem Board
MSM8960
Android 4.3 (Verizon with some apps frozen)
Right now I have a Straight Talk card in it that connects to the Tmobile network. is there a Different modem version I should flash to, half the time I seem to not have data or txt. i was in a store the other day and lost service all together.
Suggestions? I think after my Straight talk is up I might just go with the Verizon prepaid.

First, this post does not belong in the development section. You only want to post in the development section if you created something to share for the community. Being that you asked a question, this belongs in the Q/A section. I will get a mod to move this for you.
Secondly, there is no other modem that you can flash once on the TW 4.3 VRUCML1 ota. The way that I understand how it works for a Verizon S3, flashing any modem will hard brick the device as the phone does checks once it boots to ensure the firmware is matching. I would operate under the same belief for Straight Talk. There is only one newer firmware available, and that is TW 4.3 VRUCNC1 and that only brings roaming on a specific carrier in Canada.

[Completed] [q] sprint s4 to at&t s4

OOOKAAAYY.....after many months of flashing and downloading files. I managed to get AT&T firmware, and modem onto my SPRINT SPH-L720T. I believe it happened after I got rid of anything carrier based, and flashed a google based rom, and then flashed AT&T firmware, CSC file, Modem, and Kernel. Heres the catch...when I did this I lost root and went back to stock recovery. It takes a while to boot, but the at&t firmware loads even with all the AT&T bloat apps, However my baseband is still stuck on L720TVPUBNC6 which is the baseband for sprint galaxy s4. Originally I upgraded it when it still had sprint firmware all the way to android 4.4, but after all the flashing to KK Rom, Cynanongenmod, liquidsmooth etc until the present I cannot change the baseband even when I flash with odin or from recovery mode on the sd card. Do I need to reacquire root , and a custom recovery to do this? Ive spent so many days, and hours doing this, and im finally on the edge of converting this phone completely to AT&T from sprint. My wifi also does not work which I believe is related to to mismatched baseband. Can anyone help?

First time using a T-Mobile phone on AT&T

So after fighting with my previous bootloader-locked Notes on AT&T I decided this time to buy a T-Mobile Edge. I have it rooted and plan on trying a custom rom in the near future but I have a question.
There is a persistent nagging message about installing the OTA. I don't plan on installing it but I'm wondering if there's anything I should know about installing custom T-Mobile roms while using AT&T's network? Oddly enough, I'm getting better signal strength on my T-mobile edge than I did with my AT&T Note 3. Go figure.
I could be wrong but pretty positive the network the phone is running on doesn't mean anything. It's the benefit of unlocked phones and gsm networks.

There is a way to disable the OTA notifications but I don't remember off the top of my head. Also, if you flash a custom ROM, you shouldn't receive that notification as most, if not all, of the developers disable the OTA notifications.
Okay. Now that the N915T custom roms are starting to pop up, I can't install them because I'm still on the original NJL rom instead of the new NK3. How do I update it if I can't do the OTA? I'm guessing I need to find the stock original NJL firmware somewhere.

Correct. Once you find the NJL firmware, you will be able to flash an NJL ROM. Also, there are two ROMs in the T-Mobile section that are using the NK3 base. They are themed and provide more options than the stock rooted ROMs.

So I'm guessing I should just use TWRP to install the NJL zip? then what? do the ota? I downloaded both the original NJL and NK3. Would it work if I just used TWRP to install NK3?

The firmware should be able to be flashed using ODIN as long as you download the .tar files.

Modem flash gone wrong.

So I'm still running the straight talk galaxy s3 with my Verizon sin card in it. Everything was working fine but it was roaming everywhere I went. I figured since I had flashed a Verizon Rom (ml1) I could probably flash the ml1 modem and fix the roaming problem. I used the cwm flash able modem. Now all i get is the circle with a line through it. No service at all. What modem would fix this?
I just flashed the stock firmware and fix this issue but I'm back to roaming. Mods you can close this up and I'll seek help with my roaming issue in my other thread.
