Factory reset

I did a factory reset and it wiped my internal SD as expected, but it also wiped system files I backed up on my external SD but not my music? Is there a way to store titanium backups so they do not get erased?
Sent from my Infuse. It is what it isn't.
You can sync it to dropbox or drag and drop the file to a computer.

I figured it out. Doing the factory reset in recovery doesn't wipe internal storage versus doing it from inside the phone does.

You can change where TB stores its backups and move them to the external SD card.

Rom manager backup question

For some reason rom manager will only back up if I unmount my ext sd card. Otherwise it just boots into recovery. I can't seem to find any settings to change it.

Please excuse me. But do you mean nandroid backup? If so backup from within clockworkmod.

I used to just tap backup current rom in rom manager, make a name for it and it did its thing. Now I have to unmount the sd card first, then do the backup.

Increase ext partition without losing apps. Mounts to sd

I'm running out of space on my 1gb ext partition on my SD card. I wish to increase this space to 2 GB or so without losing my app data or having to erase everything and reflash etc
Any ideas any one

Backup your apps with Titanium Backup, move backup to pc, resize sdext, move backup to phone and restore them .

Thanks don't know why I didn't think of thar

Oh, I think you can just backup sdext, copy everything to pc, resize, move back and restore sdext in advanced backup menu . Because in previous method I think you should format data partition. This method(mentioned in this post) is simplier.

TWRP backup not appearing

So I'm trying to restore and I'm not seeing anything, the backup is in the twrp folder in the SD card and it's also outside of it in the data folder.
I flashed a 4.2 ROM if that matters since it makes the /0 folder.

Yes the 4.2 does matter. Just move the entire twrp folder to the root of your SD card

Happened with me some time back. I re formatted SD-EXT partition and was all fine then.
Here's what to do:
Backup all you apps (with apps like titanium backup) and messages and all the other stuff (in case can't restore)
Reboot into recovery
Backup your ROM (nandroid backup)
Backup your sdcard
Wipe all data/Factory data reset
Recreate SD-EXT partition
Restore sdcard
Restore backup (nandroid)
If doesnt boot, remember you have the backups of all the apps
