Hello!
I have one question. Why does CPU-Z says (also Antutu Benchmark) that my screen resolution is 720x1084? It should be 720x1280, like I see in other users' screen capture.
Also, "Screen density" says "320", shouldn't be 329?
Thanks.
The navbar takes some screen space that's why, can't answer about the density though.

I have already thought about that, but other people with the same mobile get 720x1280, so I don't understand why.

It seems that it is because of the navbar, I cropped the image, and if I remove the navbar, then image resolution stays at 720x1184.
Thanks
PS Dou you also have 320ppi?

Chances are they disabled their nav bar and used pie or something else.

The display density in android in dpi is used for creating an aspect ratio, that gets provided to apps so they can set proper resolution, basically it's not exactly the same as your screen pixel density.

So i just got this used from ebay. And i noticed the screen brightness changes a lot based off what its displaying. Is this a setting? Or normal behaviour? Or is the screen shot?
BTW i do have auto brightness turned OFF
Yes there is an option under "Asus customized settings" that changes the brightness according to the contents you are viewing, and it's enabled by default.
So try to disable that

I am most likely missing this, but whats it called? I noticed the brightness changes depending what power profile is selected. But i cant find how to make it stay constant.
It's near the bottom of the asus customised setting. Called something like smart brightness adjustment or some such ****e. Turn it off Smart it is not.

Ah gotchya. I'm actually sending this device back. Has a weird digitizer issue and there is a white spot on the screen when viewing dark images. Looks as if something heavy was set on it.
Buying one from new egg after I get refunded for 44 more dollars.

Is it really changing the resolution to 1280 x 720? I have my doubts and I think it's a marketing trick more than really doing something. Mostly because when you have it activated I cannot see any visual difference. Shouldn't the icons on the screen become bigger like it is when you change your resolution on PC monitor?

Hello, I'm looking for testers for High Brightness Mode Widget: mod edit: link removed
have promo codes for the first five people to post here and willing to report back to me.
It will make your screen extremely bright at the touch of a button. However, it requires root.
Works on other Samsung devices with AMOLED screens, so it will probably work on the s7, but I need confirmation.
can test it if u want
got a G935F , Exynos Version
I can test. Pm me
Sent from my Blackberry Bold
Can test also

can test....
Thanks all, it's confirmed working.
I will send a promo code to @manager77 and one other lucky person tonight.
is there any way to use something like this if your not rooted. Verizon will never allow root on this device

Sorry, it's a hardware setting. The widget can't apply it without root.
Geez, too bright for me xD, probably perfect in summer, is this brighter than the auto brightness max?

Yes, it's really bright. I wouldn't use it indoors. It's for direct sun, or bright environments like beaches or snowy areas.
One promo code left, if anyone wants it.
made some test and it's really bright......but overall it's for direct sun.....good app...recommend it!!

What do you mean? I've heard that there is some issue with brightness on Samsung but I don't know what it is.
I'm pretty sure this widget does something different than you think. It kicks the screen into a different hardware mode that is extremely bright. Much brighter than turning the brightness slider up all the way.
Hi All! I find everything on the screen is too big on OSS 12. Anyone can recommend a better smallest width setting to make things smaller without screwing up the screen orientation?

Thanks, 411 is definitely better, it was 360 before. Anyone tried a higher number that works or is 411 what most people use?

Cool, I will give it a shot. I always through due to the aspect ration you can't just put what ever number you like, is this true or false? I have a pretty good eye sight so I can still see small fonts without straining myself.
Hello.
I just saw that apps like Prime Video or HBO Max, do not play the videos in full screen leaving the area where the camera is with a large black margin.
On the contrary, YouTube or Netflix do occupy the entire screen.
Do you know if there is a way to change it so that it looks like occupying the entire screen?
Before I had a Samsung that in the settings of the mobile let change that the front camera was seen (occupying the video the full screen) or that the camera was not seen (leaving a black area on that side of the screen).
Thank you.

It does nothing.
It's up to the app developer to do this.

Then there is nothing that can be done. What a shame to waste the screen like this.
There is a module for magisk called N30 that makes apps full screen but not sure it works on A13
