Question OP 9 Smallest Width - OnePlus 9

Hi All! I find everything on the screen is too big on OSS 12. Anyone can recommend a better smallest width setting to make things smaller without screwing up the screen orientation?

Thanks, 411 is definitely better, it was 360 before. Anyone tried a higher number that works or is 411 what most people use?

Cool, I will give it a shot. I always through due to the aspect ration you can't just put what ever number you like, is this true or false? I have a pretty good eye sight so I can still see small fonts without straining myself.

Screen saving feature

Is it really changing the resolution to 1280 x 720? I have my doubts and I think it's a marketing trick more than really doing something. Mostly because when you have it activated I cannot see any visual difference. Shouldn't the icons on the screen become bigger like it is when you change your resolution on PC monitor?

Well i can't suggest you mate as this is individual choice and preference on UI, SW, camera, build, design etc.
Had this been a 200 USD phone I can recommend but this is costing much higher or double and OP and this are neck to neck but personally, I liked the phone and camera is incredibly good.

Does your view 10 warms up occasionally.
Mine only does when it's out in the sun and I'm using internet on mobile data.
On that app CPU-Z, it reaches around 38-39 deg Celcius in the battery temp section.
Is that normal...?
Or mine's having a problem?
I'm trying to activate LDAC for my WH-1000XM2/B for a while but I can't.
Seems like Huawei/Honor really did not implement LDAC for the View 10 or am I just dumb?
It's not even present in the dev options.
Really frustrating me as I bought it as a replacement for my OP3 after I read it had LDAC support out of the box.

That is normal. If used under sunlight then all the phones gets warm.
If you use on WiFi then temp isnlower than the one used under mobile data.
Hows the temperature in your area? Is it around or higher than 30 deg celcius?

Nice to know! Interesting enough the modded one works in any lightning situation, it just needs to be extremely stable.

You have to select night sight and the phone can not move at all. You can't hold it. Set it to night sight and then put it on a table, you should see it say something on the top of the screen

90 Hz overclocking?

I was just wondering if the 90hz display of the OP7pro can be overclocked to a higher rate.

I've been told but cannot confirm that the panel supports up to 120hz with some minor color imperfections,
Fairly new certain modifying these files:
https://github.com/arter97/android_...t/dts/qcom/dsi-panel-samsung_oneplus_dsc.dtsi
https://github.com/arter97/android_...dsi-panel-samsung_sofef03f_m_fhd_dsc_cmd.dtsi
using this as a sort of guide for values:
https://github.com/sonyxperiadev/ke...1128c83#diff-9b749a956003bff1461097b8a7699809
And then building could do the trick but I'm not a dev so I'm not confident in attempting something like that myself.

No, OnePlus uses command-mode to control the panel states, while some dumbs OEMs (Hi Xiaomi) still use video-mode which can be manipulated from dtbo.
But imagining a hypothetical situation where that was possible and the panel could reach 120Hz or something higher than 90, no one outside of OnePlus knows the panel commands to make it enter into a "higher refresh" mode, so we are back in the same place, not possible.

what? I did not suggest a way how it works, I said other devices can, which means the possibility maybe exist. U need to learn how to read carefully.

what if you manipulate the rom? u could flash a Xiaomi or pixel based from, would that change the one+ restrictions? or are those command-mode controls not avoidable?
...just hypothetical as u say....

is not related to the rom but the screen firmware, and you can't just simply flash a custom firmware for your screen, as I said before, no one outside OnePlus has the ability to change/add a command for that.

Display minimum width.

Just turn mine to 760 I'm developer options. Love it so far.
I didn't like the smaller quick settings icons with 760. I did change the cover display to 340 so that I could actually see things on Instagram though.
I run on 760 mostly..had it at like 673 before as well ...
748 is the sweet spot for me.

599 as thats the largest phone view, I don't like tablet view. Some apps break and Chrome browser has more difficult to use tab layout.
If you change it on 1 screen the other one changes to..
