Hi Guys,
i have a big problem with my NEW Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus NFC, i bought this phone on last wednesday (19.03), first run, apps, just fun, no problems at all, but couple days after phone restarts two times in a row, i just left it on table and i hear samsung launch sound, after first reboot, couple minutes later, phone restart again... I was so mad, cuz god damn, this phone is NEW... one or two days after, when i turn on Mobile Data, phone restart again... please, guys, i beg you, how can i fix it? :crying:
I found many threads on the internet about this problem or similiar to this, but without solution.
Sorry for my bad language, but im so mad and in addition im from Poland.
Maybe try flash 4.2.2 rom?
If i flash 4.2.2 from, for example sammobile i don't lose warranty?

Have you succeeded to solve it ? If no, flash it with odin. And yes, you lose the waranty.

Factory reset the device. If that doesn't help, your device is probably faulty and you should return it.

You should try a hard reset and never turn wifi on. I have random reboots and freezes too (even with wifi off) and that solved to me.

with wifi turned off same problem nothing happened, phone rebbots during searching the web, during talking, same sh*t,
after hard reset during changing language it reboots 2 times, so with my ugly phone there is no problem with wifi but its a problem with cpu or ram vs rom.

Are you on the latest firmware for your region? What about cell signal? Did you install any apps after reset? I'm still trying to figure this phone out... I've been with Samsung 4ever and really want this phone to work right! But might have to cut my losses and go back to my S5

I don't think it's a Wi-Fi issues becuz I am facing the same exact problem, and I'm getting a replacement device too. Becuz it happens even when Wi-Fi is turned off. I think it has to do with the phone can't handle heavy loads when it's doing alot of multitasking the ram management is horrible real bad.

Yea it's just Samsung fault that's all. The only reason I am returning mines though is becuz I rooted it and tripped Knox and now they have came out with a method to root without tripping Knox lol so I am going to get a different one with Knox back to 0x0 but as for the random reboots only Samsung can fix that issue with a software update and don't hold your beath. Because only some devices are getting update which is so stupid.
Hello, I am grade 5 living in Korea.I need your help.
I rooted my device and installed clockworkmod(Galaxy Note 2 [HSPA+]).And it worked! After 1 day,I was playing Geometry Dash,It turned off itself.I turned on it again,And it was boot loop.
I tried Kies Emergency Restore,But it didn't work.And I tried to restore with odin(installing samsung official firmware),It didn't work,either.
I need your better hands.I didn't touch anything while playing Geometry Dash.

Only those who have the same phone as yours can help you find the right flash file.
So better post it in your Note 2 Forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-2
Also check for threads there which can help you

You need to flash your phone to FACTORY forget restoring it... Get a factory ROM, flash that with Odin, then do a provider repair and it should come back to out-of-box state

Ugh, but I can't still figure out how changing the battery stopped the bootloop
Anyway, you got the phone back
Korea
Well,Korea Phones have more disadvantages than others; (
(And I am Still Wondering about how changing battery stopped boot loop)
Bad battery cells can cause many strange problems, as can standing voltages and currents in transistor arrays... You wouldn't think so, but it is so try putting the old battery back in, and see if it causes more undesired actions, if it does, throw the battery away, if it doesn't, it could have been a plethora of potential problems.
I presently use Sony Z2 and Samsung GS4... I will never buy another Korean or Chinese phone again. Jap, Irish, German or NOTHIN' for me from now on lol
The GS4 has been a problem since day 18...been to samsung 6 times for repairs and the Sony hasn't been so much a problem as much as it's been a nuisance since I didn't buy the Jap hardware SO-03f.

Hi Guys /girls.
Just got an S7, brand new on O2 (UK). I usually root my phones but haven't touched this as it's quick enough and I don't want to play around with it until the warranty ends.
In the past few days the phone has been freezing, then it will turn off, sometimes restarting entering a bootloop. It will come back on for a minute or two, then repeats.
At the moment it is working following a forced restart but not sure if this will last. Has anyone else had these issues? Or does anyone know what it could be? Going to get it swapped anyway just to make sure but I can't understand the cause. Thanks in advance
Had the same issue this moth, send it to warranty it will only be worse over the days. Samsung replaced my mbo and now everything is ok
Getting worse.... Trying to get it sorted with O2 is an absolute joke, their customer service is disgusting. Been into two stores and on the phone to them twice and they're not simply swapping it for me.... I haven't even had the device three weeks

Are you using anything the same as with the last one, like a MicroSD card or headphones etc?
Anything that is common between the two phones?
Same app that might be doing it? Maybe a restore from a Google backup when you first boot up reinstalling a buggy app?
Did you upgrade firmware to the latest version? It might be a software bug.
Seems fine now cheers guys. Auto frmware updates (x2) were done last night....must have been a one off. Definitely won't be rooting this device like my older phones!
Hi everyone!
I have a international version of the s7 that I bought in France.
Since 1 week, my phones crash randomly and also every time I try to update or download an app on the store. It happens with two different roms (superman and galaxy project).
But not happy to only crashing, it also bootloop after it, sometimes during 20 minutes before booting correctly. And it makes the phone's temperature going up a lot. With all the issues with the note 7 heating and blowing, I fear for my s7.
Also, I can't just return it, because I'm not in France anymore, and it costs a lot to pay the taxes if I want to send it for a check (especially if they do nothing on it)
I was wondering if the cpu clocks on the roms has something to do with it.
If you have any suggestions, I'll wait for it.
Thanks

Hi
Do a factory reset , do not restore anything see if it works ok , if so then it maybe an app causing the problem
or you could flash a stock rom to test the phone and make sure there is no hardware issues
Thank you for your answer.
I'll take a try this weekend with a stock rom as I have the issue with 2 custom roms so far.
If anybody has other ideas until that, please let me know
Little feedback. I flashed the stock Samsung rom two days ago and it seems to work fine for now. But it was also quite fine with the custom rom at the beginning, so I will do another feedback after one or two weeks.
Well... The phone froze and rebooted 5 times in 10 minutes after trying to update some apps itself...
I had the same problem. At the end I was not able to boot Android. I had to claim my cell phone to seller. After one month it was repaired. The final verdict was SOFTWARE problem. They said that EFS was corrupted. One of Samsung firmware has bug which cause problem with EFS.
I also had that problem. I also had to send my phone to the repair center. In my case they replaced the mainboard.
I bought one early september and after two weeks it started doing just that. I tried everything, then sent it to the seller (ebay seller...) and the repair shop couldn't anything about it. I only got my money back yesterday. Back when I invesitgated the issue, nobody was talking about it. So since I liked the phone, I bought a new one from another place (less shady) yesterday... I now think I shouldn't have. Anybody knows more about this ?
Edit: I'm thinking that if I root the phone and backup the EFS and all sensitive partitions before starting using it (or even getting updates) I should be safe...
Yeah, that would be great, but your KNOX will be 0x1. So you will have problem to return this phone back with status 0x1.

Hello everybody,
Sorry for the very late reply. I actually sent my phone to another shop here in Japan. But this week, they send me a mail to say that they were not able to fix the issue. But still they taker me 50$ for the time...
I was thinking about buying a new one, but now that some of you are talking about an EFS issue, I'll try to fix again. I will look for some tutorial for that, but if you know how to procede, just reply here
Merry Christmas guys !
hello, i've been having a similar issue.
My phone would be fine for 2 weeks, maybe a month then Suddenly it would reboot to no end, it even reboots from TWRP.
It doesn't reboot while in Download mode. Then what i do to fix it is flash a stock rom from ODIN, sometimes the first couple or 5 times it will reboot during initial first boot up of this stock Rom. I would leave it alone for a while like half day then try it again in the evening or the next day.
Today for example, it started boot looping late last night and I installed Stock ROM with PIT FILE and Nand ERASE and Repartition ticked, boot loop, again, boot loop, tried it again, also rebooted before it started up to stock recovery and factory reset. Then it started up fine and has not rebooted so far.
But this has happened many times and it'll happen after 2 weeks or 1 month. When it does, i first go and delete cache and delvic cache to see if that would fix it, but it doesn't.
Right now it works, but for how long i don't know, when it works, everything is fine with the phone, no imei or calling or heating issues.
I can't guess whats wrong, is it really EFS that got corrupted but not fully but eventually its finding a problem and causing boot loops or something if that makes sense??
Hi everybody.
I noticed a problem on my S8+, with the Home Button Force Touch feature not working when the phone is hot, or even randomly.
Does anyone have a problem like that ?
I think this happens since the last update, but I can't be sure because I had the update 3 days after I got the phone.
Thanks.
I had the same issue about a month ago. I asked about it in every forums but no one answered.
Problem happened when I was playing game. I was trying to get to the home screen by hard pressing home button but my phone didn't respond. I tried to fix it in every way. I contacted Samsung via mySamsung app but the advice they gave me didn't work at all. Fortunately after a day, it started working again and the problem has never happened since then.
I recommend you to clear cache partition in recovery mode and then wait for a day.
Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
Thanks I'm gonna try your advice. But I didn't install TWRP yet and didn't root either, so I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to do it.
Ok so I wiped the cache partition (with the stock recovery), let's see if it worked.
