Hi everybody
I just flashed LiquidSmooth rom and Gapps from PA
and I did a factory reset before doing it
after booting up the phone and waiting till it load the rom crashed after some seconds
anyone got any idea why? or how can I fix it?
I loved this rom in the Nexus 4 as it was lightning fast so I would try everything to get it working
thanks in advance
Wipe data, system and the caches and flash it again

I flashed gapps 4.2 about 2 weeks ago and everything was fine until yesterday. My camera app freezes after taking a photo and my gmail app won't load all my emails. Now here is the weird thing, I've flash different gapps and they're still there. I've done a factory reset and wiped the cache and dalvik cache and still nothing. Its seems that the only way to fix it is un-rooting it. Is there any other way to delete the gapps off my phone?

Just flash your ROM again. No need for a factory reset.

Delete them manually. Use a file explorer and go to system, app and delete the ones you want gone.

Hey guys. I've been using rustyjay's port of rasbeanjelly on my nexus s for the past week or so. When I go to change ROMs, my phone gets stuck on the boot logo screen of whatever Rom I just flashed. I've tried flashing stock, wiping all my data and wipe cache and dalvik cache, all with no luck. Any ideas on how to fix it?

I heard it's not the same procedure to downgrade and it's a bit different from upgrading to higher versions. Not sure though.

The zip you flashed caused the problem. Did you make a nandroid before flashing it? You should have
your mod that you flashed is what caused the graphic bug.
you need to fastboot flash the system.img alone from the stock images. that should solve your problem
( you would need to reflash supersu however )
No-.- i try to unroot my phone and totally take it back to stock and root again, i know i'll lose all my data but that doesnt matters thank you for your quick answer too!

Are you wiping data when you flash the rom?
If you don't have any important stuff on your phone, I would just flash the factory images and start over with the rom process.

Please tell us also what is your phone's status at the moment. Like is your phone rooted with bootloader unlocked and stuff like that.

Well since he's flashing a rom, it would be rooted and the bootloader unlocked.

It never hurts to ask though. Maybe he did something different and bypassed something. You never know. You got to have the whole story. :sly:

When you flash the ROM it also flashes the kernel that comes with it.
So if you are using Mahdi ROM then everything is ok but if you try a different ROM you get the error constantly?
using the ClockworkMod recovery.
If you receive issues on flashing, double check your download. If nothing, I suggest using the ClockworkMod recovery.

The type of recovery you use will have no bearing on it, hundreds of people on here use twrp and cwm.
All I can suggest and it was suggested before is to wipe your phone completely and start over again. Something went wrong, clearly.
I just flashed my galaxy note 4 with cm 12 and realized i had to get gapps flashed as well. But when i try to install the Android 5.0 gapps-lp-20141109-signed.zip. TWRP just resets and nothing happens. Is there anyone out there that has run into this problem and could help?
