I have Jiayu G3S MT6589 and phone was working perfect, I was keeping it in my pocket and yesterday i took the phone off the pocket and i couldn't boot it. I can't charge it either. I tried to put other battery in my phone and it still didn't boot up. But when i connect it by USB i can see that its MTK USB Port, or MTK DA port or something like this (that's after installing drivers, before I installed it i was getting Unknown Device on the list - it shold be MT65xx Preloader) So i tried to flash a stock rom (SP flash tool), but i can't do it too - I'm getting error connected with DRAM, or the red bar is loading like 100% and then nothing..I can wait and wait and nothing more...
I didn't broke my phone like it was never on the floor or something like that and I didn't change Preloader by SP Flash Tools
It's very important to me to fix it fast because I'm working on dual sim and I need smartphone... I don't want to send it back to China - it would take at least 2 months to complete repair, so I'm determinated to do it on my own, but I need your help...

Hi
Try this:
1:Remove the battery, and keep the phone WITHOUT the battery for >2 hours
2: Re-insert the battery and charge the phone (check if its charging) either by the led (in case it haves one), or by the off-line charge animation
3: If its charging GOOD , continue to the next step, if its not, im affraid its really bricked (if the phone doesnt display the off-line charge animation its in most mtk devices an hard brick)
4: If the phone charges ok, then re-flash ALL the nand via SPFlashTools (including the pre-loader) keep in mind to flash the right spflashtools rom version
5: And of course you need to have the Mediatek drivers installed for this to work, if your using windows8 , you may have some drivers problems, since the mediatek drivers have issues with this windows version, so just use windows 7 or xp.

Thanks for your reply... I left the phone without battery for 4 hours, and it's not charging...
But what I've noticed:
When i connect phone with battery it shows on computer as MTK USB Port, then when i take the battery out (and it's still connected) it disappears, but when i hold VOL- it shows again, but still I can't flash...
I've checked voltage on phone (battery slot) and it's like 0.5V-2V when the phone is connected, so I guess the phone charges the battery...
I've decided to send it back to Pandawill but they requested a short movie showing what is happening...
I'll send phone on Monday if it won't start, so if you have any ideas to make it work...I will be very happy

I had this for a number of G3S and G3ST devices, usually after a year or two of usage. These emmc chips from china phones wear out too fast.
If you are know what you doing then if
1. Preloader is loaded but (so USB cable and internal cable between connection board and motherboard is ok)
2.
I'm getting error connected with DRAM, or the red bar is loading like 100% and then nothing..I can wait and wait and nothing more...

its dead eMMC chip.
You can replace it in local service, you just need engineer skilled enough to make reboll. Also you can get a bonus - internal flash memory upgrade from 4GB to 8GB or maybe even more.

Hello, guys I am noob af so when I was flashing Ubuntu Touch I disconnected my phone and now its don't even show up as USB it just dead no lights no anything but battery is full I checked with multimeter. So I was wondering if its possible to use UART pins to flash kernel so it can boot. Thank You all so much and if it possible just point right direction were i can find more info on serial connections.

There are other ways to start your device from hard-brick state; I once hard-bricked my opo and used ColorOS (Can't remember exactly) with some chinese tool and it then showed fastboot mode from there you can pick it up.

Yes but it requires to show up as some weird usb in device manager but my don't even show when i plug it in
Charge your phone for 5 to 6 hours, this is what I did then my phone showed up in that device manager. Also follow each step on the unbrick guide on xda

Its now connecting but stuck in 8974_msimage_mbn loop it just trying to flash 8974_msimage_mbn and resets. Please Help.
Suggestion:
Connect with USB to Linux PC.
Big chance that yr PC sees memory card of OPO.
Copy Rom to the card.
Install with TWRP, if available, or with other similar.
That worked for my OPO brick.

Well let me start from the beginning.
I'm was using mi-globe 6.12.22
Last week Friday evening downloaded 7.2.9 mi-globe,read around the mi-globe forum.Didn't see anything funny so flashed via twrp on Saturday morning.Hmmmmmmmm this is when all my problems started.
Basically what I should of done is download 7.2.9,new 3.0.3 twrp for norgat,go into recovery flash new recovery, restart recovery,flash 7.2.9 and then have happy days.But it wasn't to be and now I'm basically sitting with a useless mi4c device.
The device works but warms up and I only get about 4 hours battery life.
If I try boot into recovery I just get black screen.
If I connect device to PC it is not recognized, have tried 3 x different laptop/PC's and different cables.
So fastboot,mi-flash,mi-unlock are all not possible as device is not recognized.
I have been trying different solutions without any success.
I think if it would be possible to root device directly without PC then maybe it will be possible to get flashfire working and I can flash new norgat recovery?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?
NB.I have tried loading Qualcomm drivers ,google drivers etc etc.no luck can't connect my device too PC,either get device not recognized or the PC doesn't even see the device.Enable USB debugging etc etc nothing works.Been fiddling for 4 days!!!!!!!
Tried to root with kingoroot,framaroot directly on device etc nothing works?
Please help,else device is a nice piece of plastic that holds paper down on my table.lol

Is usb charging via pc working and have you tried miui updater? , This seems weird state you have ... If none working might be tried deep flash cable flashing ... Or go to nearest service center. Hope that help. Best luck.

You havent answered the miui updater part, have you tried flash miui rom.zip, using miui updater apps ?
Does fastboot mode boot on your phone ? i mean the bunny sceen showed up ?

I then have to restart phone with long press of power button. It restarts but nothing has changed.
Wrt fastboot it goes into fastboot but this is useless cause no Pc can see my device and if it sees it it sees unknown device, spent countless hours trying different things without any success.
Seems have soft bricked the device, phone works but gets hot and battery life maybe 4 hours if I'm lucky?
Not sure what more today?

Before this has your pc able to use the miflash ? Try to follow this guide to setup it correctly http://en.miui.com/thread-136188-1-1.html ... I follow this guide and the adb n fastboot even works on an old pentium 4, 512mb ram, win xp laptop.
Ps: I think, its only a matter of incorrect driver setup on your side, best luck.
Hello colleagues, for 2 or 3 days I've experimented that I don't have a fast charge (and it can take me to charge it like 6 or 7 hours ....) and there is no way that it can recognize the computer, Problem, how do I get it to work ???
I tested several USBs? Yes, in two Windows and a Mac
Have I tried other cables? Yes, 2 official and one no official
I tested it with another terminal? Yes, my partner has another Android and connects on both the USBs and the different cables ....
Have I tested it with other ROMs? Yes, I have tried the Gold Eagle, the LineageOS .... the only thing I can not put a Stock by Odin because neither in Recovery nor in Download mode it recognize the PC .... (and is precisely what I want to do to try to fix the problem)
Only (I think) I would stay to try the Clear Internal Memory but of course, it gives me something to leave it as a brick because it does not connect to any PC ....
To finish saying that Drivers are installed (and that on 2 PCs with Windows 8 and 10 and on a Mac do not recognize me ... it is rare)

You need latest Samsung USB Drivers, latest Odin3, latest stock firmware (use SamFirm) for your model and optional adb + drivers. Reflash with newest stock and you will see...
About FastCharging... You use orginal cable? And orginal dedicated FastCharger? If yes, must works... I never have problems with FastCharging on NNE5.1 ROM (look my signature).
P.S.
If the PC's not recognize phone how you put ROM's for example from PC to phone? Or is working only on some mode for example in recovery mode MTP option?

Hi, I use AirDroid, just to copy the ROMs into de Phone...but no, I canno't connect it by any form.....I tried in Recovery, Download Mode, changing the differents options in Developer Mode....nothing, there is no way to connect it to my PCs (It charges though..)

Yes, I hear the "beep" but it appears this message (sorry if is not literally, is Google Translator):

So it is connected, it charges but I canno't use it....in 2 PCs with Windows 8, Windows 10 and in a Mac with Sierra (In MAC it just do nothing..)
Look's like broken USB-port, some pin's or something... That can be also why fastcharging not working, only normal.
I'll keep trying and reading about it...I don't want to expend more money in this phone (I already changed the battery 3 months ago to improve...nothing ). But thank you very much for your answers!!

Because if you changed battery in S6 to new same battery that cannot give you so much... Current batteries do not wear out so fast through charging cycles, for example the battery from 2 years old S6 will hold almost same time as the new one (not half the time as it was in for example iPhone 5 after longer using). If you put battery from S7 Edge then yes, ofcourse... 1000mAh more. I will have orginal one in my S6 in monday, I let people's know how it's working (but i'm sure that's best solution, here can look: https://vordhosbn.com/index.php/blog/tech/galaxy-s6-battery-mod-s7-edge-battery/).

Having same issue.
What is the status of your phone now.
Your USB port Is faulty or the wiring is coming loose internally. My s6 only charges on a custom ROM because the USB port has s power regulator that is not working and the stock ROM will not let the device charge. But the custom ROM let's it charge just fine. Its not a firmware bug because you have tried multiple Roms. In my opinion it is hardware related. If you want to open your phone I can help you further. But if you don't know how... DO NOT OPEN IT. the screen is glued and you will definitely break things if you don't know how to remove it

5. Still. NO LUCK.
AFTER FLASHING EVERYTHING.
DID NUMEROUS FLASHING METHOD I READ FROM
COUNTLESS WEBSITES and FORUMS.
STILL. My phone is dead.
1. Not charging.
2. (NEW CHARGER) (NEW CHARGING CABLE)
still not charging. (NO LOGO) (NO VIBRATION)
3. I fully charged my (REMOVABLE BATTERY) using UNIVERSAL CHARGER.
4. I even bought new battery (SAME MODEL)
5. No luck.
Here's what happened (BEFORE BRICK)
1. My Phone (FIREFLY INTENSE XL) hanged then suddenly turned off.
2. I switched it on. It started well.
3. After few seconds, it restarted.
4. Now, stuck at logo.
5. I've waited for many hours. Still stuck at logo.
6. GOOGLED how to FACTORY RESET.
7. Had some luck? I was able to boot at FACTORY OPTIONS
(Chinese Text)
8. I GOOGLED again what's this chinese character/text means.
9. I GOOGLED how to FACTORY RESET.
10. Now, i chosed the option that has **EMMC text on it.
11. I Reboot the phone. STILL-Stock at logo.
.....Now I begin flashing using LATEST to OLDEST SPFlashTool.
**I made sure that my Battery level is 90%++
12. Flashed the phone for (FIRST TIME)
*I used the "Download Only" Option
*After first time flashing. Still stock at logo.
*Waited for almost (10 Mins. Only)
****Before Second flashing. I know,
My Computer (device manager) still detects my phone normally as Portable Device.
That's the normal detection before I bricked my phone.
...Now
13. Flashed (SECOND TIME)
*I used the "Format ALL and Download" Option
*After 2nd time flashing. Now, it didn't boot.
*I decided to charge it. Now, stock at charging logo.
No indication that it is charging. Mere charging logo. Logo is not moving up nor down.
**Now my PC couldn't detect my device like before--
it has sound of reconnects and disconnect.
Sound and Device Manager indicator.

Connected (MediaTek USB Port (COM6)
Reconnect (MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM (Android)(COM5)
14. Yet after that, I managed to Format the phone using SPFLASHTOOl Format Tab.

*No logo
*No battery nor charging logo like before
*No vibration
*Yet, my last hope? (Hopeful)

still not charging. (NO LOGO) (NO VIBRATION)
3. I fully charged my (REMOVABLE BATTERY) using UNIVERSAL CHARGER.
4. I even bought new battery (SAME MODEL)
5. No luck.
Here's what happened (BEFORE BRICK)
1. My Phone (FIREFLY INTENSE XL) hanged then suddenly turned off.
2. I switched it on. It started well.
3. After few seconds, it restarted.
4. Now, stuck at logo.
5. I've waited for many hours. Still stuck at logo.
6. GOOGLED how to FACTORY RESET.
7. Had some luck? I was able to boot at FACTORY OPTIONS
(Chinese Text)
8. I GOOGLED again what's this chinese character/text means.
9. I GOOGLED how to FACTORY RESET.
10. Now, i chosed the option that has **EMMC text on it.
11. I Reboot the phone. STILL-Stock at logo.
.....Now I begin flashing using LATEST to OLDEST SPFlashTool.
**I made sure that my Battery level is 90%++
12. Flashed the phone for (FIRST TIME)
*I used the "Download Only" Option
*After first time flashing. Still stock at logo.
*Waited for almost (10 Mins. Only)
****Before Second flashing. I know,
My Computer (device manager) still detects my phone normally as Portable Device.
That's the normal detection before I bricked my phone.
...Now
13. Flashed (SECOND TIME)
*I used the "Format ALL and Download" Option
*After 2nd time flashing. Now, it didn't boot.
*I decided to charge it. Now, stock at charging logo.
No indication that it is charging. Mere charging logo. Logo is not moving up nor down.
**Now my PC couldn't detect my device like before--
it has sound of reconnects and disconnect.
Sound and Device Manager indicator.
**It say's in Device Manager
Connected (MediaTek USB Port (COM6)
Reconnect (MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM (Android)(COM5)
14. Yet after that, I managed to Format the phone using SPFLASHTOOl Format Tab.
*After that
*NO BATTERY LOGO even I plugged the phone in charger
-waited for several mins. still no BAT. LOGO
*NO VIBRATION
*I CHARGED THE BATTERY using UNIV. Charger
*BOUGHT NEW BATTERY (SAME MODEL) (FULLY CHARGED)
*Paperweight?
*No logo
*No battery nor charging logo like before
*No vibration
*Yet, my last hope? (Hopeful)
My PC/DEVICE MANAGER detects it
**It say's in Device Manager
Connected (MediaTek USB Port (COM6)
Reconnect (MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM (Android)(COM5)
NOTE:
*I used DESKTOP and LAPTOP both has Windows 10 32Bit OS.
*Installed all the required USB/PORT Driver
*New charging cable/data cable
*Tried different ports
*Tried different speed in SPFT (HiSpeed & FullSpeed)
*Tried flashing one-by-one
*Tried "Download Only" & "Format all+Download"
after "Almost no life at all"
====First I used MY OFFICIAL UPDATED ROM.
Next, the Outdated ROM. Last, CUSTOM ROM - No Luck.

I googled and saw a video on youtube that, advance option + Physical Format option could be
one of the essential *Last Resort to be able to SUCCESFULLY FLASH your CHINESE PHONE.
Sadly, I believe, in NEWER version of SPFT it's not possible when you load the MT6580 scatter file?
I also used old-oldest version of SPFT but it everytime i load the scatter file it says some error
*not legal blah blah blah? Please. Do you have any idea?
Is it possible in MTK6580?
I used old-oldest version of SPFT

Cyanogen OS is a custom rom. It can only flash through custom recovery. But you can't even access the recovery mode then it can't help you to unbrick your android.
Other method to physical format using spft?

ADVANCE OPTION + PHYSICAL FORMAT FORCEDLY ERASE (BAD BLOCK MARK IS ERASED) in SPFT?
I see that option in new-latest version of SPFT but, WHENEVER my ROM were already loaded (MTK6580), that option is gone.
I GOOGLED it but I can't seem to find the right keyword for it.. Do you have any idea? even in other android tool?
There's this guy on YTube that, did that method

*Should I flash the preloader again?
*Should I untick/deselect it (preloader) and ALWAYS flash other stuff? except CACHE & USERDATA?
* I flashed countless times, I just don't want to make things worse..
**Is it possible to install or flash my rom to EXTERNAL SD? and be able to boot my phone using it? There's this guy on Ytube did that to his dead phone and it booted..
He used, some sort of image file and installed it in sd card using wind32diskimager..
Is it possbile? or for some phone models only?

Same problem with me, I also have an MT6580 device and I also first tried to:
(when I used SP Flash tool, it only fully worked in version SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1532_Win )
1) format the whole flash (in SP Flash tool)
2) only select preloader
3) flash (with Download selected, and phone volume + button pressed in and then connected USB to pc)
4) select all other (recovery, boot, system, ...)
5) flash
For me as well, nothing happened - the phone does not react when I try charging it, and pressing the power button has no effect.
The only advice I can give you is the knowledge that the preloader is in the fault - somehow the preloader on my phone before the flashing was different from the preloader in my stock rom. Perhaps it is the same data, but the address at which it is flashed is wrong. Don't bother yet with flashing the system, userdata or other images - if the preloader is not correctly installed, the phone won't recognize it when it tries to boot up, and the other system, recovery etc. images are useless.
Perhaps a good analogy is: say the preloader is the bios of a computer: if the bios fails to be loaded, then the operating system (android, windows etc - i.e. the system, recovery etc. images) will never be loaded either
