How to restore a bootable SD card to it's initial size?? - General Questions and Answers

Hello. I have made a bootable SD card for my nook color using this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1941858
I have flashed the image in that guide and booted successfully with it but the problem is my SD card has now only 300 MB ... Instead of 16 GB.
I tried formatting it but still 300 MB is maximum i can get . How exactly can I restore my card ?
Thank you

[Q] How to upgrade from 2GB card to 16GB card on G1

Hi I have a HTC G1 running cyanogen which came with preformatted 2GB card which had been partitioned to have a 500 MB space for apps. I would like to be able to copy the contents of what is already on the 2GB card onto the 16GB card while keeping the allocation the same. I was told that if I made an image of the 2gb card and copied it onto the 16gb card it would resolve the issue. I used Arconis to make an image of the 2gb card and used the "recover" function of the program to apply the image onto the 16gb card but when I placed the 16gb card into the G1 it reads it as a 2gb card. This is not a case of the card being fake as I had to reformat it to get the 16gb size back. I think that Arconis simply partitions the new card(16gb) to be an exact image of the 2gb card. Is there another program I can use that would help me apply the 2gb image while keeping the new card's size correct (16gb)?
Any and all help and comments are much appreciated

OK, First, make a nandroid of your existing ROM with the original SD
AmonRA:
Backup/Restore
NAND + ext backup
CONFIRM
Power phone off
Put New SD Card in
Get back into Recovery
Partition SDCard
Partition SD
Confirm
Swap Size=whatever CONFIRM
Ext2 Size=512 CONFIRM
FAT32 will default to remainder
Then, transfer all the files to the new card (you at least need to transfer the new nandroid image).
Restore nandroid & you should be good to go [restore is so you'll get the SD:ext files restored].

[Q] How to restore back SD card size after installing image file

Hi,
I accidentally wrote the SDCard CM7 installer image file (version 1.3) for Nook on a 512M microSd card using WinImage. It only shows about 200M under windows now. How can I restore the microSD card back to the original size using Windows?
Thanks
Anyone knows the answer?
Reformatting SD card under Windows
The HPUSBFW.exe format utility will reformat your SD card to its original size. I found the utility via Google.
I am running into the same issue while trying to create a bootable CM7 card for my Nook Color. If I use WinImage (Restore virtual drive image) or Win32DiskImager to write the generic SD card image to my SD card, the resulting size is a bit less than 130MB. I can copy the CM7 and Google Apps ZIP files to the card with little space left over. My NC will boot from the card and attempt to install CM7 and the Google apps, but installation will eventually fail because no space is left on the device. Subsequently my NC will no longer boot from the SD card and boots into the Nook Reader instead.
If I use WinImage and manually choose the SD card image and destination drive, I can write the image to the SD card without changing the partition size. However, my NC cannot boot from the resulting image.
I'm at a loss.
SD CARD
Thank You, I was able to recover my SD Card.

[Q] Problem Creating partition in twrp affects sd size

I have a 32 gb micro sd card in my Samsung Fascinate. I attempted to create a partition using twrp recovery, but it failed everytime saying that it could not find the partition. Now when I use my card though it only shows 23.9 gb even though it is completely empty. This was a legit card and it showed the correct amount of gb proir to the failed partition. I don't know why my partition setup failed or why it is now only allowing 23.9 gb.
Thanks
I too am facing the same problem with my Kingston 64GB Class 10 micro SD card in my Sprint HTC One M8 using captain throwback's custom TWRP recovery version 2.8.4 on official kitkat 4.4.4 rom. The phone is (obviously rooted/ S-O).
Any help would be appreciated.

Try reformat your SD Card using MINITOOL PARTITION WIZARD (windows apps) into fat32. Before doing it, connect SD card to your computer just delete second partition you''ve made with twrp. (you can see it from your computer)
How to use mini partition wizard just Google it.
Thanks a lot for the tip my sd card now works perfectly and all is good!

SD card partitioning

I have a 128 gb sd card that im using with my s5. Partitioning was easy enough, but as I was following a tutorial, I only made my partition 2.6 GB. Can I afford to make a larger partition? IE: 15 GB? Whats a recommended size for my SD card? Thanks!

CWM Partition SD Card.

Yesterday I Partitioned SD Card via CWM RECOVERY , I selected Partition as 2048 MB and swap size 0. When the work was done my phone booted and when I saw file manager I had losted my all data. I didn't understand what actually happened at that moment because I am a Noob. And I did it first time. Then I went back to CWM recovery and selected partition size as 256 MB and swap size 0Mb. Now I have losted all of my data and as I have 4 GB Sd Card so, there is only 3.56 GB remaining in my SD CARD. MY ROM is 4GB.
Can anybody here tell me how can I recover my data and also tell me how can I bring my SD card back to its original Size, I mean how can I get back those 4 Gb of memory back into my SD CARD.
Plzzz Help me!
Sorry for the bad English
