My N5 getting reboots after returning to stock. - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Yesterday when i woke up my whatsapp was empty,no groups no chats,Nothing!
and from that my N5 started to reboot,i was on Slim Kat+Franco r35.
I flashed to stock rom using fastboot formating everything and still some app crashes and reboots,so did it again and again and nothing stills reboot on everything stock without root...
So what can i try?i live outside USA so RMA its a problem...
Thanks

I think that reboot and crash happens in system apps...maybe the partition is corrupted?

What apps do crash exactly? Have you tried a factory reset in /settings/backup and restore?

Mostly when i use chrome it crash and sometimes reboot sometimes no,drive crashs, clock, and some others non system apps and reboot...
Will try,but i flashed stock with fastboot so many times that i thought is unnecessary.
Thanks

Yep,did everything and no hope, now i realize that the screen starts to flicker a little bit before reboot,i hope that the problem isn't a wireless charger that i bought in amazon and used last two months,do you think will be a problem to RMA?
Thanks

Can't Update nexus 5 past 4.4.3

I Need help updating my nexus 5 to 4.4.4. I touched the notification notifing me of the update and it switched to the twrp recovery screen and failed. I then switched back to stock recovery. Now it keeps saying my system is up to date. Any suggestions?
it failed because you are not running 100% stock rom/kernel.

fastboot.
There has to be a better way besides me doing a fastboot or restore to factory. There is an app or script I remember having to cleardata/clear cache . I have too much important data that I can't seem to back up.

Fastboot flash a recovery then use that recovery to flash a rooted stock ROM.zip
Pretty easy really.

I wanted to reset the app that controlled updates. I had a similar problem with me rooted galaxy s4 and HTC One and it was as simple as an app reset.

Oh right. So to be clear you don't want to be updated / rooted / recovery ?
Because our assumption was that you did want those things and that's the advice we've been giving
App reset? No idea, they changed how it works.
If you use search, there are other threads discussing that. Probably get this one locked
Edit. Oh so you mean the reset that forces OTA updates to be checked again? That was always considered a bad idea and it still won't help your issue of your ROM is modified.
If you want root, what I said is the best way bar none. If you want stock unrooted, fastboot flash system.img to clean up your ROM.

Maybe I'm not being clear enough. There is a way to actually reset this screen . I just don't know how for this device
yes I worked it out and already told you it is universally acknowledged as a bad idea. Please answer previous questions.!!!

Well thanks for helping me to help you. It's been a dream it really has.
Everyone else don't do what the OP has done. It has been linked to some pretty bad software issues... This was just a case of "OP knows best" unfortunately.

[Q] Black screen after trying to unroot.

Hello XDA,
2 days ago I installed CyanogenMod via their new installer everything went great. After a 2 days of testing I decided that the Nexus 5 is a great phone and doesn't need any custom rom (atleast not for me). So I followed this guide to unrooting the device and setting it back to the stock rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701
I selected recovery and after that I'm supposed to see a dead android. But I'm not seeing anything my screen is black. I can some light so it is still turned on.
I'm kinda freaking out over here so I really could use some help on restoring this ( if its possible ).
Greetings,
Liquidfood.
I'm dutch so my English might not be perfect.
Can you get into the bootloader? Our is your screen black too? I would try to flash the factory image again

That's not a good sign. Look for the LG flash tool, I believe it's in the general forum and try that. I think it's your only hope at this point.

How you should I go about this. I still have warranty in the store that I bought it form ( probably not because bootloader is unlocked. ). But I wanna try it anyways should I tell them the truth or not? And can I send it directly to google/lg?
Ok so a miracle happend. I got it to work again, I let the battery drain and hooked it up to my computer and got in the bootloader. So I flashed the rom again and now it worked!

Formatting doesnt help at all

I have recently rooted my nexus and i immediately downloaded lucky patcher to patch some games. After a little bit it was boring to have everything owned and i resetted my phone to factory settings but still everything was there. No back ups, new acc made to sign in, wiped cache, dalvik cache and format. Nothing worked. How can i delete EVERYTHING in my phone? I want it to be like a new one. Any suggestions? Even when it says welcome and select language the language is in Greek (my region). Its driving me crazy.
EDIT :Also Flashed stock rom but with no success

Talk about karma. I have a suggestion, if you want paid content, then do the right thing and pay for it.

For that, he must go to bed and get up couple more times.

constant random reboots

After one year with this phone I am starting having problems with it. The phone is almost constantly rebooting. Usually it reboots itself a few times in a middle of the loading screen.
I've changed multiple roms, wiped everything, the problem is still here. Same thing is if i reboot into safe mode. Random restarts, upgrading apps and so on.
Latest twrp.
Any idea ?
Change your kernel...or have you installed a new app recently?

[q] really bad lag

Hi, i have had my nexus 5 for about 1 year now. Over that last few months i have been experiencing really bad slow downs and lags for no apparent reason. This can happen randomly when doing certain tasks such as turning on my phones wifi or when there is low battery, or unplugging my device from the mains. This problem persisted in stock lollipop and in the cyanogen mod 12.1 nighties (which i am currently on). I do not remember having this issue in kitkat... When my device lags, i have to wait anywhere from 15 secs to 5 mins before it returns back to normal. i have tried factory resetting but this does not help... please help

Instead of erasing partitions when flashing the factory img, format them.
