Mugen battery dying?

hey guys i bought a 3600Mah mugen battery and its seem like its dying faster, anyone feels the same?

i'm sitting on 30% right now
i dont think i can get a full day like most of everyone, i already delete the battery stat and its still not working

How long have you had it? New batteries should cycle afew times though before the gauge can be trusted.

I get two days out of regular use from my mugen 3600. I've had it for about 5 months now. Still runs strong.

I get 2 days of regular use and over 3 days with little usage on my 1800mAh battery, you should get LOADS more on yours, 4 days at a minimum.
Charge up to 100%, let it rest on charger for 2 more hours.
Go to recovery and wipe battery stats.
Use the device as normal but do not charge until it dies at 0%.
Charge to 100% and again let it rest a bit, then resume your normal usage.
Every once in a while or after flashing a new ROM, let it discharge to 0 to get accurate readings.
And also be aware that google GPS-based apps have problems on CM7 based ROMs and the GPS sometimes stays awake or some such bug. It doesn't show on battery usage graph but every time you use google maps, google goggles or similar I recommend rebooting because there's a chance it's slowly draining your battery in the background.

My normla usage is more then your normal usage, end of story.
Play n64oid daily on your phone and see how much faster it dies.

Just a thought: Do you really use google maps so much that it can account for 22% of energy consumption on a 3.6k mah battery? That seems kind of excessive to me.
I mention this since I used to have problems with google maps starting on its own in the background and it really drained the battery like crazy. (oddly enough it would only start whenever i opened the stock mail client.)

The latest google maps does not run in the back ground even after exiting like previous versions of maps (you would have to either reboot the phone or use a 3rd party app to manually kill everything related to maps).
So my recommendation is to do what the above said with the calibration and then make sure you are on the latest maps.

A lot of people give the advice to drain the battery until it dies. Very poor advice, and you can kill the battery that way. Just drain to 20% or so. No need to go any lower, its not going to make the battery meter any more accurate.

I do actually and I get probably 10 hours extremely heavy usage! Light usage to no usage I get 24 hours plus on 1900 mah chichitech. I've gone 4 hours before my phone ticked from 100 percent to 99 lol.

when u r free, Install Current Widget from market and turn on log in it and update after 60 secs... let phone for 30 mins in standby...
in standby I get 150-200mAh with WiFi, Data and all applications closed... I saw one forum, they said it should be 3 - 10 mAh... how is that so?
that looks like a battery drainer to me...I m suprised its a newly flashed Rom, nothing jnstdlled... whate causing battery drain?
Tell me whats your average current flow values in standby mode with everything off...?

I get 120-200 on stock room with wifi on and syncing.

My current widget kicks mA at 120-250... Fully wipe, newly flashed custom rom.. how could they get 3-10 mA??? maybe its only a guide to a single core... not really specify that it is for sensation mA values....

current widget is not going to show you the correct drain. use battery monitor widget. many more settings to mess with

So I've been reviewing over the logs shown by Current Widget, I was wondering curiously to myself, is having negative mAH (-xxx mAH) a good or bad thing compared to a positive mAH (xxx mAH) reading? Because I get mixed readings from time to time.

Current widget doesn't work on the htc sensation and battery monitor widget isn't very accurate,

If Current Widget doesn't work with the Sensation and the Battery Monitor isn't accurate, are you using any battery monitoring apps that works with Sensation? I've used Juice Defender and it really works great to increase battery life.

None of them are 100% accurate its a htc problem.
In bmw check mA corrections in settings.
Underclock cpu using system tweaks also set screen of profile in settings, ive lowered voltage to cpu -100mA aswell
Use watchdog to keep an eye on apps that are using to much power.
Juice defender to manage connections when screen of. Don't use auto brightness just manage it your self.

i check the automatic way of mA retrieval and get anywhere form 3-5 mA idle drain overnight. i'm using insertcoin 3.3.1 build and the battery life is amazing. 2 days with light-moderate usage on a regular basis.

Did you remember what battery drain did you have with original rom?
My phone shows me that I have -150...-170mA/minute in standby and -130 in plane mode.

Battery Life on Android Revolution HD

I am creating this thread as a thread for people to post screenshots of their battery life, instead of having to go through the over 3,000 pages on the ARHD thread in the Android development section.
I am still on the second battery cycle, and will post results in a day or two.
but feel free to post yours. I think it will help people decide if they want to use this ROM or not.

I have no pictures, but when I was using ARHD i get about seven hours moderate use.

Heavy use including sending heaps messages, Listening to music for 2/3 hours, Using 3G for like 2 hours and using Wifi several times during the day.

Hi everyone, I'm using ARHD too and having a question. To a few first charge cycles for the new ROM to settle down, do I need to let it drains completely (dies) and then charge it to 100%? Or I just need to charge the phone till it reach under 15% without turning it off?

Lots of similar threads around.
Seems to me what is really useful to know is the current drain during standby (as logged by current widget or other similar prog). My opinion at least is, when you're using the phone to do stuff, it's gonna drain battery at a rate depending on what you're doing and how fast you're doing it, so that has little to do with the ROM. But when the phone is in standby for the other 10 or 20 hours, if it's draining 300ma or 3ma is what makes the big difference to battery life. I'm seeing 2:1 differences just by putting a different radio in! And as far as I'm concerned, stock, insertcoin, ARHD, whatever... any one would be fine feature wise, but it's much more important to me to have a phone that will last a full hard day without a charge. And a 2 day cycle would trump all other details. So I'm experimenting with different ROMs, kernels, radios and RILs to try to find the magic combination.
And BTW, FWIW, so far, ARHD with Bricked kernel and recommended radio seems to be best (at about 40ma), and I've seen a lot of others reaching the came conclusion. But I remember reading a thread where a guy was showing 1 to 3ma! (it wasn't a sensation though, but an HTC of some sort), so I think there's room for improvement somewhere!

Current widget draining battery on Sensation
I used current widget a time or two to monitor my drainage with ARHD 6.5.X and the drain on standby was around 45-60mahwith spikes up to 150... Drained my battery within 14 hours. Uninstalled it - easily had juice left 18 hours later or so when I hooked it back up to the charger..

The battery life in standby is pretty good, however I've found that when playing a game, the battery drops about 10% every 15 minutes which is very concerning. I'm running ARHD 41.0. My battery life used to be just fine while playing graphic intensive games on the stock ROM. It concerns me.

Addtional battery Management on Custom ROMS

I realize this may be sacrilege to some, but is there any advantage to installing a battery management app like Juicedefender to a custom ROM? Or is each ROM optimized enough to not need third party apps like this... I just installed the ICS 2.3.5...
If not, are there custom kernels that can be flashed to this ROM to optimize battery more?

Actually, there is EVERY advantage of installing JD on any rom. JD does things no roms can do, like enable/disable connectivity such as wifi, gps, bluetooth depending on variable you chose such as location, time of day....
I use JD ultimate and this is what i usually get...JD is probably the best battery manager out there, you can couple it wil SetCPU to additionally tweak it.
On this screen is my usage for tha past day, i have 25% left and i've already have 26 hours on my battery. JD is set to keep wifi on at all time when im home. Imagine how much more i could gain if it only enabled wifi every half hour to sync my stuff.
Also take into consideration i've been uploading all my pictures to dropbox for the past 1.5 hours. When i woke up 2 hours ago, i have 43% remaining. So dropbox drained 20% in 1.5 hours

I dont understand how you can "not see the point". Even a save of 10%-15% gives you at least a couple more hours of up time...we all know there is no magical solution for such a hungry, battery guzzling phone, but why not make the best out of it and control what we can?

I guess I do see the point. Maybe I just don't care that much. It makes sense to try to maximize battery life, so maybe I will try it out. I don't care much for the idea of turning off data when the screen is off with manual sync times though.

buy a extra battery. or a car charger. juice defender and under volting will help but not much. just turn screen down your self and turn wifi off which leave house. i tried most bat apps there are. i don't use any now and get better life then most people. been work eight hours and I'm at eighty four percent still. that's with use lol. jd uses more then it saves

Any of you guys try that double capacity battery, if it really does give 100% more juice? I am debating over it because it also makes the phone heavier and almost twice as thick... the slim form factor and weight is one of my fav parts of this phone so..

I'm sure they sell it elsewhere but it is all over ebay and I was tempted:

I love my slim form so I may just get like a battery 3 pack and always keep a couple charged in the fridge or something... when I go out for a while it can easily fit in a back pocket or bag for emergency.

- what are the steps to setup the battery for first use ??

I have the same battery and no you don't need a custom backdoor, fits like normal. I can't remember the exact steps to get the full battery life out of it but it comes with instructions. I didn't really follow what it said myself but I still get pretty good battery life.

I got 2430 mah battery ... supeeerr one word. charge for 12 hours before using so long.

Yeah I'll post my stats a little later I just took it off charger not long ago. I'm a heavy user so mine isni't ever anything mind blowing lol. And I don't think wiping the battery stats effects the performance, I could be wrong tho.

Cool receiving mine in 4 days or so i assume the wait is already killing me ;D paid for it an hour ago
All i do is listen to music as i go to school and very few texts and i end up whit 1h screen on time whit 5 hours off the charge whit 30-40% i expect to see it at 70-75 whit same usage

Its always on at home except when im outside i took off data off my plan and i must say it doesnt much of a difference but i never knew wifi can drain battery
