i dont think i can get a full day like most of everyone, i already delete the battery stat and its still not working

How long have you had it? New batteries should cycle afew times though before the gauge can be trusted.

I get two days out of regular use from my mugen 3600. I've had it for about 5 months now. Still runs strong.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App

I get 2 days of regular use and over 3 days with little usage on my 1800mAh battery, you should get LOADS more on yours, 4 days at a minimum.
Charge up to 100%, let it rest on charger for 2 more hours.
Go to recovery and wipe battery stats.
Use the device as normal but do not charge until it dies at 0%.
Charge to 100% and again let it rest a bit, then resume your normal usage.
Every once in a while or after flashing a new ROM, let it discharge to 0 to get accurate readings.
And also be aware that google GPS-based apps have problems on CM7 based ROMs and the GPS sometimes stays awake or some such bug. It doesn't show on battery usage graph but every time you use google maps, google goggles or similar I recommend rebooting because there's a chance it's slowly draining your battery in the background.

Just a thought: Do you really use google maps so much that it can account for 22% of energy consumption on a 3.6k mah battery? That seems kind of excessive to me.
I mention this since I used to have problems with google maps starting on its own in the background and it really drained the battery like crazy. (oddly enough it would only start whenever i opened the stock mail client.)

The latest google maps does not run in the back ground even after exiting like previous versions of maps (you would have to either reboot the phone or use a 3rd party app to manually kill everything related to maps).
So my recommendation is to do what the above said with the calibration and then make sure you are on the latest maps.

A lot of people give the advice to drain the battery until it dies. Very poor advice, and you can kill the battery that way. Just drain to 20% or so. No need to go any lower, its not going to make the battery meter any more accurate.

I do actually and I get probably 10 hours extremely heavy usage! Light usage to no usage I get 24 hours plus on 1900 mah chichitech. I've gone 4 hours before my phone ticked from 100 percent to 99 lol.

yes that 20 means i have 20 percent left, for those of you that think galilio sucks make sure you charge it right, first time up run it to it die, then charge all the way back up using the charger that came along with it(thats what i did not sure if it matters), do this a couple of time, also dont forget to wipe battery stat under recovery...
this is with 2 hours of GPS 2 hours of Tunein radio (use alot of bandwidth believe it or not)
and light texting, no calls brightness are from 40% at night to 60% at day time (running bright day apps ) live wallpaper is running. i am also running sense, htc friends stream update every 2 hours (gonna up it to 1hr to see result) htc stock is 4 hours (up it to 2hr to see result) news stream is manual (up it to 4hr to see result), i am not running advance task killer, cause i dont believe it work.
for 19 bucks and a month of wait time, its worth it for me

Yup, conditioning the battery doesn't work and doesn't do anything for Li ion batteries. Its out dated info from the days when phones used NiCad batteries. Draining your battery to empty may also render your battery unable to take a charge (the safety circuit is not always guaranteed to prevent over discharge). Discharging below 20% should be avoided.
http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/do_and_dont_battery_table
What power cycling does is calibrate the battery meter on the phone. It does nothing to the battery (at least nothing good). The best way to calibrate the battery meter is charge to full, then drain to 20%, repeat a couple times.

Thank you! I am so sick of people talking about calibrating lithium ion batteries which is an annoying, common misconception. If you're having trouble, remove the battery and make sure the cells aren't swollen and just wipe batterystats.bin
well you guys can say what you want, thats how i did it and it give me relatively longer battery life then stock, plus i'm tire of having my screen at low brightness, now i can have it high and not worried about running out of juice

why does your battery stats screen look different?
Oh and if I use the phone with light browsing/videos/music it can go for 5 maybe 6 days with the Gingerbread update and Mugen 4500 mAh extended battery. I got 3 days and was still at 68%.
To be completely honest, my battery life hasn't been very good lately. I'll take it off the charger at about 7AM in the morning. It'll be about nearly dead (in the orange or red) at about 6-8PM. Before the update, i'd get a lot more life out of it honestly. Whether I was using it or not.
i'm at 78% after 17hrs right now. but i utilize wifi.

had exact same experience. I've decided it's because while I'm on wifi at work, it's not a strong signal so the phone keeps dis/reconnecting.
I'd say that I generally get around 20 hours with normal weekday usage.
I installed xboarders tweaked with LG cam and nothing else and would get about 10hrs out of the battery. Then I installed the nontweaked version with all bloat and stock camera and when I put it on my charger I was at 30hrs with 28% left.
If you wanna feel good about yourself dl ZDbox ... it always seems to exaggerate my battery life...lol
With heavy use I get about 8 hours.

All the roms in this world... wont save you from yourself"
Since I installed this plain rooted rom my battery has flatlined. All I have installed on it is Beautiful Widgets and enabled wifi calling.
has anyone ever seen anything like this? 15hrs and it was still at 76%.....
My battery was horrible until yesterday. CM7 build 97 helps my battery a lot and then I also use SetCPU with a screen off profile and an in-call profile. Those 2 things left my battery at 7% after exactly 24hours off the charger and light to moderate usage.
Screen off - 312/216
In Call - 1000/216 with priority slider set higher that screen off profile.
Credit goes to 'phburks' for the profile settings.

I've gotten better battery performance on Eagleblood 2.3.5 ver1.6
Overall, still sucks. I've not tested the battery because I accept that having android, I can't expect for more than a day's use. My nokia e72 has great battery performance.
I'll push to see how much I can get, but honestly, I accept it. I'm always near a charger so it doesn't matter. Spent most of my frustration on getting a working ROM with my phone.
Now I can tweak with battery performance. I don't expect anything more than 8 hours. I use my phone alot.
last full charge on my G2x with Faux's rom and UV kernal lasted me 55 hours with normal usage, H+ (3g+) most the time, the true 42mb 4g isnt out here yet
I got 12 hours today. Amazing.

Mugen 1800mAh Battery Review

So, finally my order just arrived ... And its on the first charge right now and immediately I can feel that the heat is only 50% as compared to the stock battery. Also, 80-100% charging seems to be taking long (maybe trickle charge) ..
Will update this post after fully charged and first discharge till 50% ... should give an early estimate since I know my stock one's capacity .. and this is normal discharge, not killing it by running everything everywhere!
My Setup - Stock 2.3.4 ROM (Only Clockwork & Rooted without any special tweaks)
UPDATE 1 - First Full Charge and Discharge to 50%
It reached around 52% in 19+ Hours with following setup :
* Push Exchange for Gmail
* Facebook 1 Hr Pull
* LinkedIn 1 Hr Pull
* 3 Calls ~ 20 mins total
* Music listening around 20 mins in transit
* I have network on WCDMA Only with 3G/H always On (No WiFi use)
Image below was taken before it reached 50%

Hi,
Another feedback about this battery
Need more advice about this to make a choice between Mugen and Anker battery for the Sensation.
Thanks
2 thumbs up for this battery! Ive had mugen 2600mah and the official htc 2300 extended battery for my hd2. Mugen does make top notch batteries. I went with the 1800mah this time because i didnt want to replace the case due to the internal antenna built within the stock cover.
Getting to the point now. I use coredroid 2.4 with bricked kernal 0.91.
I use my phone for tethering wirelessly to my laptop. I usually always tether at work for about almost 7 hours. When i ran my phone using the stock battery at full charge, i would be at 14-18% at the endof my shift. Since using the mugen 1800 i noticed my phone lasts much longer significantly. When i tether using the mugen im left at 37-40% by end of shift. This is really good imo because tethering drains the battery down pretty quick since it uses excessive amounts of data.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the feedback
Not bad at all especially with intensive use as tethering.
And is the temperature indication is working properly?
And if there are other feedback please
Thanks!
Ive got a Mugen 1800mah battery as well as the dock.
I have to say its a placebo mate, its not a better battery in fact when tested at fully charged its 1410mah not 1800mah.
Hi,
Ouch!It's not good
I don't understand that some users find a real difference.
Even considering that we have not the same utilistation every day, the same parameters and others ...
In this case use for the same reason as stated lolpos, the gain is significant?
Hard to decide on a particular battery...
I think the difference price between Anker and Mugen help me to make my choice...And the number of positive feedback for Anker...
Another feedback for Mugen are always welcome
Thanks for the reply.
these are my settings i use for my phone.
-core droid 2.4
-bricked kernal 0.91
-underclocked with setcpu at 10800/192 with set on boot and i use performance setting (i underclocked mines but i dont notice any type of lag or anything slowed down)
i dont care about quadrant because i dont really play games on my phone. i mainly use it for tethering at work, and other then that i do moderate to heavy usage with
-screen off setcpu settings at 192/192 with 100% priority on performance setting
i dont use ondemand settings but i was gonna try and test SMARTASS(Interactive) setting and see how it is
and with my battery when i first got it i discharged it to dead, then left my phone off and fully charged it to 100%. before i actually turned on my phone again and started using it, i cleared BATTERY STATS thru CWM. Ive only let the battery fully discharged once which was when i first got it, but i normally start to charge it again when i to to 5-10%. This is about a week and a half now since ive been using my MUGEN battery. AT FIRST i only noticed a SLIGHT difference but on the 3rd day is when i began to see real progress in work
like i said again, it would also help if people would also post up on what roms/builds they do use to include other things such as radios, kernals, and other misc settings, and it would help if people specify if they OC or UV it, or if they just DONT use a OC/UV tool such as setcpu etc
hope this info helps
Ive tested stock battery on Multimeter and it is around 1550mah when fully charged on the mugen dock. the 1800mah mugen battery is 1410mah when fully charged.

I think what he's trying to point out is at 4 and a half minutes he's still at 100%, at 9 minutes he's down to 99%, at 13 minutes he's down to 98%, at 35 minutes he's down to 95% - and I think he's saying he expects his battery to be a lot better than this.
If you're checking your battery drain that often, I expect your screen was on a good percentage of that time, and yes, Display will use a good % of your battery. Look at your Battery Use, what's eating the most battery?
Oh, I wasn't looking at the battery icon. And now the other image shows up. I thought maybe that last one showed a huge drop. That would have indicated a bad battery.
homeslice976 is right. If you keep looking at it, it'll keep draining fast. Get a widget from the market that keeps track over several hours (or days) and look for trends there.
My problem is this, i leave my phone charge over night and when i get up in the morning i disconnect my charger.
but as soon as i disconnect my charger no more then 1 to 2 minutes i already lost 1% within 1 to 2 minutes of disconnecting the charger yes i understand if i keep checking it it will lose battery.
but as soon as i disconnect my charger i light up a cigarette and then go to my text messages, like i said 1 minute still smoking my cigarette it is already at 99% before i even open my text messages
this battery sucks big time, i had a MT4G and i have way better battery then this
Speaking of MT4G i am going to put it up for sale in the Sales section.
have a bunch of extras for it

You also seem to have an inconsistent signal. By the third screen, you were down to EDGE. If the radio is constantly trying to get you a better signal, battery life suffers.

This is true too. Play around with different radio/ril combinations, letting them settle in for a day or two before testing and see if you get any better results
Well moved from LeDroid to Virtuous Unity and battery looks a whole lot better and so does my wifi signal.
I have installed the Battery Monitor Widget so we will see what kind of results i get with it.
PS i am also using a Slim Extended Battery from Anker 1600mAh
had one with my MT4G with 1700mAh and it ran great
Your screen takes a lot out of the battery, end of story, not much you can do. I agree the battery life you originally posted was nutty. I had the same thing when I first starting using Coredroid. These links helped me knock out some of the other high battery drain issues and since haven't had too many problems..I do these anytime I flash a new rom and battery life has not been an issue. Hope everything on the new rom works out man!

I am still scratching my head. What is so wrong with the pics above? I don't dee it. Everything looks normal. Last pic shows 95% and awake time of 21:43. Do the math and that is over 400 minutes of wake time on a battery charge. Not to mention that you were doing something on your phone as you did switch wifi on for the last 20 minutes between pics.
You can't measure your gas mileage in a car by only driving 30 miles nor can you on your phone in only 30 minutes on a battery that probably isn't perfectly calibrated for the phone anyways.

[Q] Problem with battery consumption with Team Venom's ViperS 5.1.0 rom

Hey,
because I have fewer than 10 posts so far I can't write in the rom development thread and need to post here although it is the wrong place.
So I installed ViperS 5.1.0 rom on my sensation two days ago and calibrated the battery after loading to 100%. Did two fully discharge/charge cycles after that
Now I let the mobile phone untouched from tonight ~0 am till morning ~6 am and checked the battery stats. It went from 95% to 78% in 6 hours of idle. Wifi and mobile data options were on but it gets automatically disabled over night, atleast it was when I woke up the phone at 6 am the first time.
That's almost 3%/h while at sleep and seems high for me. Anyone running the same rom and can check the consumption?
Thanks in advance.
tayfun369
I just searched the rom thread and found this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51020469&postcount=5994
His battery stays at the same level for over 6 hours over night and with wifi on.
I just made a screen of mine for comparison and I hope I can get some help.

since you have done only two charges i suggest to wait a little more
for example 2-3 more circle charges
then battery will settle down and you will be able to see how it behaves
also how old is you battery and what battery you have?

Do you have a lot of sync to Facebook, Twitter, weather and mail?
You could try to undervolt a bit in tweaks.
Remember to run through a couple of complete charges befor you can see how your battery life is.
And last, perhaps your need a new battery.

Weather once a day. Furthermore dropbox, google and whatsapp if they matter.
I will wait 2-3 more charge cycles then before trying something like UC/UV or even new battery. I hope it won't be needed.
