Hello everyone, I have big problem and I dont know how to solve it. Samsung galaxy tab 2 5100 was stucked in boot loop and with odin I put philz recovery on tablet and with options inside backup all files to sd card. And after that deleted everything on tablet. Now I dont have any rom installed on tablet and when I turn it on it just on black screen with samsung tab 2 logo. I found couple of download links for original factory rom for europe but they are all on hotfile website and that website is shuted down by US court. So now I dont know what to do and I cant download factory rom.
Can someone help me what to do now???

Put GT-P5100 in the search box and choose the Rom that you want from the list. You'll need to register to get the link.

You need to quote me in your reply or I don't get a notification.
There's nothing to stop you rooting it again and extracting the data from your nandroid backup once you've installed the Rom

You can't really restore them, because they're on a different ROM, it'd overwrite all your fresh and fast ROM.
In two words: you can't.
You will need a country specific firmware, where did you buy your P5100; was it from.. anywhere in the world? Check for a sim card slot.
If it doesn't, get on to reading!
1. Find how much bits your windows is.... this can be done by opening the start orb in the bottom left corner, then right-click on computer. Click Properties, and look for 64 or 32.
Pick 64 if you have 64, or pick 32 if you have 32.
2. Install drivers according to your bits.
These will ensure good experience.
- 64bit: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/MOB...dows-x64.shtml
- 32bit: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/MOB...dows-x86.shtml
3. Download UK recovery! That is, if you don't have a SIM card slot.
Find here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=22456
Now, I was quite lazy to write a tutorial, so I did copy some sources. they will all be given credit.
1. Download and Install the Samsung USB drivers to your PC from the link above. Reboot your system once after installation. If you have already have KIES installed you can skip this step
Extract the Odin Package you downloaded earlier to your desktop. Look for the Odin exe file. That's the only one we would be using
Extract the downloaded stock firmware zip file to your desktop
On your Tab, go to Settings > Developer Options and Enable USB Debugging
Now Power off your Tab completely. We will now be putting your device into Download mode or Odin Mode as it is also called. Download mode is basically a Samsung Exclusive mode which allows flashing of firmware via Odin. Odin can only communicate with Samsung devices when they are in Download Mode. To get there, press and hold these keys together: Volume Down + Power. Then press Volume Up to enter download mode
On your PC, launch Odin by double clicking the exe file in the Odin folder. Just make sure that Samsung KIES is not running on your PC at this time. KIES and Odin don't like each other very much.
Connect your Tab 2 to PC using the OEM USB cable. Any microUSB cable should work, but I prefer to use the one supplied with the phone to avoid any unforeseen complications. You should see the message Added!! in the main Odin message box like in the screenshot below, as well as as COM Port number in the first slot directly above the message box, which tells you that Odin has recognized your device
odin_zpsc9caf496.jpg
In Odin, click the PDA button, locate the stock firmware .tar file that you extracted in Step 3. If there are additional file for the modem and CSC, add those as well. Make sure the Auto Reboot and the Reset Time boxes are checked and Re-partition box is NOT checked.
Double check everything in Step 8, then hit the Start button to restore your Tab 2 to stock Samsung firmware
Once Odin has finished flashing the CWM recovery, your Tab should automatically reboot. And if the flashing was successful, you should see the word PASS! against a green background at the top-left in the Odin window. This means it is now safe to disconnect your device. i got tired of trying to figure out how to use adb as far as i got to was the command thing and got into android sdk tools but since my device is bootlooped i cant use debug mode there for it couldnt read my device so i did some research on my samsung admire and saw the odin mode flashing ur firmware so i thought oh cool well im in odin mode what is it downloading lol
Basically odin mode is when your phone is recognized by odin. When you have odin installed, your phone will be recognized by Odin when there is a yellow box with COM## (numbers dont matter), assuming you have all the proper drivers installed.
couldnt i download odin on my computer and put it on my sdcard using a cardreader then put the sd card back in my phone then go to system recovery and install iit from sdcard and it will fix my bootloop?
I doubt it, plus why would you want to anyways? Just seems like a whole bunch of extra, if not unnecessary steps. Easiest way to get into odin mode would be to have the proper drivers installed, put your phone into download mode, let Odin recognize your phone by showing a yellow box with a COM followed by any number, the you flashing whatever you need.
but im bootlooped i have to get stuff from my laptop and use a cardreader to put on my sdcard then install from sdcard in recovery
Odin is for windows
Odin doesn't go on the phone it's for your computer.
QUOTE:
You first and foremost need to download ODIN zip file from the XDA developer forum. You will be provided with the link. You can then extract the ODIN folder into your computer.
You can now use the data cable to connect your Samsung phone to your computer.
Put your Smartphone off and remove the battery.
Then you can turn the phone on whilst you hold down you Home, Power and the Decrease volume keys to go into the download mode.
You can now launch the ODIN on your computer. Then click Auto reboot. All together, you can click PIT and select the PIT file that is associated with the Android ROM that you are flashing using the ODIN android. You can now click PDA and make sure that you select the TAR file for the ROM.
Last but not least, you can click start to add the ROM to you Smartphone. Note that, the installation will be complete when the phone reboots automatically. You can then unplug the phone and enjoy the new changes.
this will work for my samsung admire and remove the bootloop?
it costs to download odin?

1- Download and install Odin 1.85. Make sure you have Kies installed first because it installs the necessary USB drivers.
2- Extract the ROM .zip file and put it on your desktop or somewhere easy to find.
3-Run Odin as adminstrator.
4-Click on the PDA button in Odin and find the ROM file you want to load on to your Note. It's an MD5 file. Leave everything else as-is.
5-Put your Note in to download mode by pressing power and volume down at the same time. Use the volume up button to select download mode. A little green Android should show up on the Note's screen.
6-Connect your Note via USB to your PC. The box under ID:COM in Odin should turn yellow.
7-Click start in Odin. Odin will show you what it's doing in the message box and you'll see a progress bar on your Note. When it's done, disconnect your Note from the PC and it should reboot itself with the update?

Latest Firmware: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1847706
I used this procedure to update my note 10.1. It worked perfectly, just like an update from kIes. Make sure you are not rooted before you do this. Your note must be bone stock with no modifications. This procedure did not wipe my note, all my apps and data were intact after the update.
Make sure you read up on using Odin before you try this. Also, read up on the ota to make sure you want it. It fixes a lot of problems, but some people don't like the new s notes. For me, the ota makes the note so much better that it's a complete no brainer.
There is also a pre rooted version of this fIrmware in the development section.

*this way worked for my soft bricked SM-t561 Galaxy tab E. and I hope it'll work for you'll too. after this process all the data from your device will be gone as if it was bought new. Pls make sure you charged your device so that it won't shutdown during the process.
Make sure you have installed samsung USB drives latest version before doing this. If not download it from this link. -----> https://droiddocket.com/download/samsung-usb-drivers-v1-7-23-0/
1.type your model number and search google for flashable firmware for your device. Download it, and unzip it.
2.Download Odin latest version, unzip it and double click Odin3_v3.14.4 file .
3.then you'll get a notification probably, click ok. After that you'll get like this, after that take your soft bricked phone and click power button + volume up /down + home button then
your phone will look like this,
after that connect your device to the computer, on your computer you'll see this.
then click "AP" and select the unzipped firmware you downloaded and click enter.
after that click start and it will start flashing you'll see the progress from your device and from your pc. It will take a while so DON'T un plug the device. after it's done you'll see this in your pc then unplug your device and then it's done.
Don't mind my gramatical mistakes. I hope this helped you.

Unfortunately it did not work with rooting, did it as described above.
After the reboot, the tablet hangs at the start screen and does not boot any further.
how can I undo this, because before the device ran without problems
Hello everyone. I need help here.
I have a Samsung SM-T561 & some months ago, I upgraded to version 7.1
Then a few days ago, I wanted to upgrade it to version 10.
That's where things got messed up!
1st. I didn't make a backup of what current ROM.
2nd. I completely forgot to enable USB debugging (again, despite It wasn't the first time I used custom ROM)
3rd. The problem must have been from the ROMS I installed. They didn't work. So I factory resetted EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING. INCLUDING THE SYSTEM.
So basically, I HAD TWRP. I HAD NO OS. I DIDNT TURN ON USB DEBUGGING MODE.
Then I understood that I didn't need ODIN anymore because I had TWRP.
So.
I downloaded the files to flash again. On SD card. And inputted it inside . So it still DIDNT WORK!!
Then I flashed in IMAGE form.
Then my TWRP DISAPPEARED.
IM ON CONSTANT BOOTLOOP.
THE ONLY THING I CAN ACCESS IS THE DOWNLOAD MODE.
AND I CAN NOT CONNECT WITH ODIN BECAUSE I HAVENT TURNED ON USB debugging...
Someone should kindly... please. Get back to me
I rooted my my few weeks ago with snapdragon root, and yesterday I realized that some apps kept crashing, so I rebooted my phone, but it stucks at Tmobile logo. So I opened up smart switch on my pc, tries to restore my phone, but it said that : SM-G930T does not support initializing. It's confusing since I restore using smart switch before, but I downloaded stock firmware from xda forum, and flashed with odin. And it shows sw rev check fail device 4, binary 3. And it boots in to recovery mode everytime I forced to restart. btw, it says dm-verity verification failed. What can I do to fix this? Thanks for any suggesions.

I had the exact same problem with my phone which is the same model as yours, and after almost 2 days of surfing in the internet like crazy and trying all the diferent programs I found the solution.
1. first go to this video youtube,com/watch?v=RSZiVxJyFb4 (I cant post links so I will substitute the dot in "DOT COM" by a comma)
2.Download the firmware and Samsung drivers in the link in the video which is pangu.in/samsung_firmware.html skip thru the pages until you find your model(this link will download the drivers and a notepad with the link to the actual firmware download page which is sammobile,com/firmwares/
3. type the model number in the search bar (SM-G930T) and select the first one in the list and download it(note: you will need to create an account in this page in order to download the firmware but its only put your email and choose a password so it shouldn't be a problem. extract the firmware after downloaded.
4.Download the version of odin that is linked in the video link: pangu.in/odin_tool.html . Scroll down a lil bit and download the one that says "ODIN 3.11 (GALAXY S7)"HAS TO BE THIS ONE other versions wont work. extract it.
5.After you have downloaded everything(make sure you installed the drivers if you haven't done before) proceed to run ODIN with your phone unplugged from your pc and turned off
6.Load the AP file from the extracted firmware file into the AP tab you will see in ODIN(do all this with your phone UNPLUGED from the PC.
7.Now put your phone(which should be off and disconnected from the PC) into download mode[hold vol down+home+pwr button
then you will be aske to press button up to continue, do so(you probably know how to do this but I said in case other people don't)
8.connect your phone onto your pc and you should see your device show up in odin, now click start and you should be good to go
I hope it works for you since I know how frustrating it is to have such and expensive phone bricked.

Hi guys, after many tries, many googling and youtube research, I dicided to share my problem with our community
1. At sunday, my galaxy tab started to restart continuously, It was recharging and I took some time to see.
2. I tried to activate USB DEBUGGING but when It Restarts, it's usb debugging is disabled again.
3. I'm using Stock Rom Again...was;
4.Using Stock Recovery.
5. Tried to install many others recovery's with odin and it seems to be ok but after a restart, its all back to stock recover.
6. Tried to install Stock FW again by Odin and its stuck about 50% FAIL
7. Tried to install CFW and Other Roms by SD Card but it shows a messege "Failed to check Signature" aborting... maybe because of stock recover.
8. Not rooted, usb debugging DISABLE
9 Tried to activate USB Debugging by odin, installing a patch, without success.
10 Samsung KIES does not recognize it in Download Mode.
11. I have samsung drivers installed.
one more information, when I start in recovery Mode, it shows first an android pic and a messege NO COMMAND, then proceeds to RECOVERY(STOCK).
What Can I do?? I Did Everything I can find on Internet. Is there a phisical problem??
Best Regards!!
Seems like a similar issue like mine. Check my post about behavior of my tab 2 7" (P3100) at https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-2/help/p3100-16gb-bricked-emmc-bug-to-t3707134
If you have symptoms similar to mine or any mentioned in the links in the post, then it seems you have a faulty emmc (internal memory).
The only solution i get to hear up till now is either to get motherboard replaced from service center or get emmc replaced from repair shop or get it jtag'ed.
Other solutions, which would avoid jtag or other service, like dual booting from SD card existed here in xda for p3100 but having stuck in stock recovery brought limitations.
If possible share all things you tried and solution if you found any.

Tks for the answer, I guess we have the same problem, by the way, I already read your topic (lol), Surelly I'm gonna find some technical assistance , the hard thing is to find these kind of stuff, but let's see. I'm gonna share any solution, see ya!
If you install a custom recovery and then reboot to system, it will automatically install the stock recovery again unless you are rooted. To avoid this uncheck the "reboot system when finished" box in odin and after installing the recovery boot directly into it.
Stock recovery is only for installing official updates, not for custom roms. You need a custom recovery for that.

Thanks, but we I tried this too. The issue is possibly our emmc is gone into permanant write protection state as far as i have studied. i tried unchecking the "reboot system when finished" box and even pulling battery after getting odin status as success for recovery as suggested in some threads but nothing helped.
Even if i do a factory reset from recovery all data would remain as is, nothing deleted!
@blankfile99 i agree its hard to find stuff, for me jtag service is more than 500kms from my place!
I am searching for any possibility to boot from external sd card. The thing existed for p3100 (one mentioned here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1866675 which allows sd boot) and the other is the blackhawk NEXT https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285366 but this is not suitable for our case where no modifications in emmc contents are possible. Devs were able to carry out sd boot for nook color tab .
But again I am stuck trying the dual boot mentioned above at how to flash the sd boot build rom zip file to sd card since stock recovery gives signature verification failure....
Great struggle to keep the tab working...

I had the same issue - here is what I did (I'm writing this as much for me later on, as for you!). This should be fine for your device - but of course, the usual "no guarantees" applies.....
I assume you have downloaded the appropriate files ?
- I used philz_touch_6.57.8-p5100.tar.md5 (google it)
- Odin3 v1.85
1) Install / Start Odin on computer
2) Start device in download mode For my P5100 - I held down power and the UP volume button.
3) Connect USB cable to computer. In ODIN, Click PDA and select the downloaded philz_touch_6.57.8-p5100.tar.md5 (or whatever you're going to use).
4) in ODIN - UNTICK "Auto- Reboot" and Re-Partition is unticked - leave Reset Time ticked.
5) Click start. you should get the "PASS" All threads completed.
6) Disconnect USB cable
7) - important bit - Press and hold down POWER and Volume DOWN together at same time for about 15 seconds. This hopefully will restart into PhilZ mod.
Let me know how it goes.
I have decided to install custom rom on my Samsung tab 2. but it's not connecting with my laptop(not recognized).I think there's a driver problem because in device manager It is showing "Unknown USB DEVICE". Can anyone please send me the Samsung tab 2 gt p5110 driver software or any folders which are use to connect. (I have tried many times but I can't find a good solution )

You should also try with a newer / different cable as that could be the issue. I had this same problem and when I swapped to newer cable it solved the issue. Just try different things.
