Trouble with "Look-around" Stick
Hi, first of all thanks for this thread.
I just installed the app and it works pretty well but i figured out one problem. I cant turn around properly in Dead Trigger 2. The Character stops to turn after a slight look into one direction. I have to push the stick a several times in order to do a 180* turn.
It would be great if anyone could help me. Is so much more fun with a Controller.

[GUIDE] Connect Wii Controller to G Tablet and Play Games

Hey All. I figured I would do a video tutorial on how to connect the Nintendo Wii controller to the Viewsonic G Tablet. I connected it earlier today and it works great. This is just a basic tutorial showing you what you need and how to use it, but it does not go into detail on the specific options of the programs. Here are the programs that you will need to download from the android market to get started:
1. Romgripper
2. DroidEmuLite
3. WiimoteController
Enjoy!

anyone try this out yet? any issues or tips? Please post if you have found any.
Thanks,
scott
I actually knew how to do this already but the one thing that I'm not sure of is if we can play a two player game on this thing using two wiimotes? I see that the wiimote program sees both controllers but it doesn't do anything while using it in the SNES or tigermame emulators. Hope u can help. Great vid btw.

Epic. So glad I found this. Reinforces my thankfulness for buying this Tab.
can this also be done with a ps3 remote?
The Wii remote also works great with Quake as well. Pretty neat ability of the gtab.
I am unable to locate romgripper via the android marketplace or amazon marketplace on the gtablet. Anyone have a valid link to the apk?

Works fine on Brilliant Corners. Was using it earlier to play Legend of Zelda quest 2. Not using any guides so this is gonna take a while to beat.

Brilliant Corners? Is that a game?
Are you using stock? I haven't rooted my gtab. Was hoping it would not be necessary.
Anyone able to use the nunchuck joystick as a proper joystick with incremental speed for walking vs. running? I am only able to map up, down, left and right. I expect it's impossible, but it would make n64oid massively more fun.

Brilliant Corners is a ROM with a 1.2 bootloader by roebeet. It's a lot like Vegan Tab 5.1.1.
I'm using nesoid to play the roms & the wiimotecontoller app to connect the wiimote via bluetooth.

[Q]How to calibrate the G-Sensor of Nexus S?

I'm trying my best to find a way to calibrate the G-sensor of the Nexus S, but failed.
In this mobile phone, i can not find a "sensorcalibutil_yamaha"or "/data/misc/AK8973Prms.txt" or the calibration tools that HTC phones have..
and I tried using GPS Status or a software called Bubble to calibrate...it just works in the software itself but not the system. so still, my doodle jump keeps jumping right when i put the phone horizontal on the desk...
So... Is anybody have some way to solve this problem?
I think there must be a file which have the settings of the G-sensor coordinate but where is it?
or even better, can we find a software to calibrate it?
i have that problem too.
i use tricorder to check. it's a bit tilt to the left, which makes doodle jump keeps jumping right.
it be great if there's a way to calibrate the g-senor.
sorry for jumping this thread, anyone found a solution? (using ICS)
it's really annoying that my nexus steer left like 10 degrees when it's straight, hard to play temple run / mega jump like that.
Hold ur fone so the screen faces u. And on the home screen move ur hand in a figure 8 for 30 seconds

It doesn't help the G sensor, your solution may help a compass issue

[Q] Touchscreen problems

Has anyone else had touchscreen problems after the 2.3.6 (55.13.25) update?
ie: it stops registering touch after about a second of your finger being in the same place.
or is it just mine and i should get it fixed?
(i did search and didn't find a thread for this, only atrix 1, so sorry if one already exists)
****...I thought it was Osmos HD. But this has been happening after the update while playing the game, really frustrating
I've been noticing less general reliability from the touch screen.
No noticeable problems here, but I'll be sure to pay attention to it now...
It's working fine for me.
Try installing "Touch Test" from the Android Market and see if anything weird is happening.

it works fine, unless you hold your finger in one spot for about a second

[Q] Using the full wiimote

there are many apps that can make the wiimote compatible with android, but all of them only use the buttons, so I would like to know if there is one that also uses the gyroscope and the accelerometer within the wiimote, if there isn't any app that could do that, i would like to know how what is necessary to make the wiimote act as the proper gyroscope and accelerometer from an android device, any help in the development of this application is much apreciated
Recently I was working on adding native support key libraries for AOSP based ROMs and found some interesting things about using a Wiimote with android. The massive issue is pairing....which is why an app is needed. I spend a good 8 hours trying to resolve the pairing issues, but straight pairing was almost impossible....and its different for every Wiimote.
As for the various sensors, try looking into Glovepies config files for the Wiimote.
Hope that info helps. After 8 hours of slamming my head off the desk, I gave up on them lol

hmm interesting, and if we use another app to pair like the usb/bt joystick center, do you think we could use the build in gyroscope of the wii?

Two strange Android problems

I recently replaced the logic board in my Verizon galaxy note II and have two strange problems. First, when I turn on the camera and tap the settings gear, the menu displays upside down. It also displays the image taken upside down.. I can work around this. It's weird but not a big deal. The second problem is the big one. Although everything seems to work fine as far as GPS and other sensors, when I attempt to use Google Sky map, the app loads fine but doesn't give me a real time view. Nothing moves when pointed at the sky. This is not only on Sky Map, but any app like that. I've calibrated the compass and found a couple of apps for calibrating the other sensors, but no change. Any ideas from anyone?

You need to remap your hardware, the motherboard you used must have been from a slightly different variant of Note 2, one with a different rotation orientation (up on yours is down on the motherboard you used).
Same goes for your GPS, the GPS on Verizon Note 2 must be different somehow on the variant that your motherboard came from.

Thank you for that info. It sounds simple enough, except, what the hell is hardware mapping?

It's configuring the software to match how your hardware sensors are configured, in other words, make up=up and down=down.

Ok. Since you're not offering, you must be waiting on this: Will you please tell me how to do this or where I can learn?

You mean since I'm not spoonfeeding you the answer. You didn't ask "how", you asked "what is it?".
That's because it requires knowledge of the note 2 system, I'm not familiar with note 2 but my experience with other devices tells me that your hardware isn't mapped correctly because its upside down.
You'll have to get help from note 2 users that are familiar with your software/hardware.

I'm sorry. I figured since I didn't know what hardware mapping was, it would be obvious to you that I wouldn't know how to do it either. But I thank you for letting me know what to look for.
